"Yeah... me too." I smile faintly back. "I think so anyway. Even... um." I shrug slightly, looking down at the table again as I very nearly slip and say something I shouldn't. Even with the continuing weirdness? Even though I think I love you?
I'm not really sure what it was, but I'm thankful that I didn't say it.

I smiled and nodded a little bit. She stopped after saying, 'even' and I looked at her curiously for a moment wondering if she was going to finish that sentance. I wasn't going to make her if she didn't want to, but I thought I would at least ask. "Even..?" I asked her, keeping my eyes on her.

"Nothing," I say quickly, shaking my head with my eyes closed. "Just... despite my misgivings, I guess... I'm still glad I've seen you." I smile faintly again.

I was slightly taken aback by how quickly she said nothing, but I nodded anyway. I smiled at what she said next and nodded a little bit. "I'm glad too."

I laughed a little at her response, smiling lightly. "Now I feel loved.. 'I missed you.. sometimes." I said with a faint chuckle. Hopefully it was obvious that I was joking becuase if I was her I don't think I would've missed me much at all.

I bite my lip sheepishly, trying not to smile when I realize that's how it sounds... but eventually failing. "I'm sorry...." I manage through my laughter. "I really do love you, I just... didn't miss anybody sometimes."

I laughed a little, smiling lightly still and biting my lip a little bit. I shook my head a little when she said sorry. "It's fine.." I smiled. "I know what you mean.. I can say the same thing." I told her with a small nod.

Granted, I was really incredibly pissed at him when I left... but that wore off within a few weeks, if not days.
