I wasn't sure if I believed her but I nodded anyway. "Let me know if there's anything I can do then.." I said quietly, after she whispered to me.

I just nodded faintly, but I knew I probably wouldn't say anything, especially since I've now successfully killed the somewhat conversation that wasn't going to make us fight or make me force him to leave.

"Put a door in it." I said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, and well it would be, if we had a spare door on hand. Still, I didn't much know what else to say, and well, if whatever I do and say doesn't fix any of our problems why should I try?

I let a small sigh pass my lips, not sure what to say, except that I probably should've just left the door alone, maybe the mark would've disappeared aftera while.

I just nodded faintly, not wanting to say anything for or against that, instead trying to find something else to talk about, or do. Really it should be easy, especially since I was forcing him and the kids to stay somewhere else for a while.
