"Exactly." He said, laughing a little bit at that and shaking his head slightly.
"Good." He repeated in a small murmur, smiling a little more at her laugh. "Thank you, it's greatly appreciated." Laughing, he nodded with a grin towards her. "Just pray the owls decide to be nice to you today." He joked. "I'm sure you'd find a way to have them attack you while you're busy being distracted."

I laughed a little and nodded.
"You're very welcome.. I figure this's best for the both of us." I said with a small nod and soft laugh. "Well, I hope they're nice to me... and it doesn't sound like I'm ever going to live that down now." I grinned.

"Well then that's good, at least you can think some." He said, grinning towards her, for the time being forgetting about his unwelcome siblings and future wife. "I hope so too, don't much want for you get mauled by owls, least not while I'm here." Chuckling he looked between Meilana and the owls. "I don't think so Lace."

I grinned and nodded. "That I can.. And I don't want that either.." I said agreeing with him. "So you'd rather it happen when you just can't see it?" I asked with a soft laugh, "That's nice of you."

"Course." He said, teasing her as he grinned. "Just to make sure it doesn't happen I'll have to be around you more often. Are you accident prone by any chance?" He asked, laughing a little bit more. "Why thank you, don't think I've heard someone say that to me before." He added softly, still grinning. It was true, he wasn't ever 'nice', not even in a sarcastic way.

"Well thank you.. That really is nice of you." I nodded with a smile. "And not especially, no.. Have my moments though.." I shrugged with a soft chuckle. "And you're welcome. I hope you're just kidding though about that.. No one?"

Nodding simply, he smiled a little. "You're welcome." He said softly. "Well then, at least you're not completely accident prone." Laughing softly he pretended not to hear what she said after you're welcome and just looked at her and then out the owlery window again.

I nodded again, "Yeah, I'm happy about that too.." I smiled softly to him, then watching him look out the window and hearing him stay silent. I moved my hand slightly through my hair and kept my eyes on him. "Well, you seem nice enough to me.. you don't come off too well though."

"That's good then." He said, laughing faintly when she said she was happy about not being completely accident prone as well. He heard her speak again, though he pretended not to and just nodded, no longer seeing his family on the grounds, but rather walking towards the castle doors and the entrance hall.
"Nice meeting you Lace." He said, turning towards her again with a smile as he stood up from the window sill. "Another time." Mason added, knowing that he just suddenly decided to leave and wouldn't be surprised if there was some suprise or confusion on her face.

I nodded a little as he laughed faintly and I smiled, then waiting for him to say something else, or at least give me a sign that he heard me. But he didn't and the next thing I knew he was standing up saying it was nice to meet me. I raised my eyebrows slightly in his direction and scratched the back of my head for a moment. "Um.. yeah, nice to meet you too." I said back to him a moment or two later, giving a faint smile back to him. "Okay.. I'll see you then.."

"Good-bye Lace." He said, smiling a little bit back at her before walking out of the owlery, forcing the smile to slide from his lips when he was outside in the sun, just incase someone stuck back to find him. Instead the familiar, cold smirk played into place as he headed to catch up with his family.

"See you.." I said back to him again, staying where I was and watching him leave the owlery, leaving me to wonder what to do now and looked around.
