Riley;;Tears Don't Fall

[Riyann Servansikk]

I smiled a little at those words as she rested her head against me a little more. Hearing Ariella come over towards us I pulled back slightly, still hugging Char, and looked at her as she picked something up quick and I scrunched my eyebrows up in confusion before raising a small eyebrow at the little girl. "What?" I asked, more so referring to what she'd snatched up from the ground and was holding on so tightly.

Ella shook her head, biting her lip a little bit. "I'm just happy you're home." She said, trying to change the subject, even though she was pretty sure that Riyann knew something was up. Ella moved foward and hugged her agian.

"That's not it." I said and hugged her back after pulling both my arms from Char. "You little liar." I mumbled and started tickling Ariella with a small laugh.

Ella could see that coming but didn't know what to do. She giggled lightly as Riyann tickled her and though she tried to hold on, the necklace slipped from her hands to the floor.

I stopped tickling her with a grin after hearing the muffled thump and kissed her quick on the nose before looking down and seeing the locket, biting my lip softly at seeing the broken chain, which I knew could be fixed, but the locket was open and the picture had some water damage. I didn't say anything and just picked it up in my hand lightly, turning back to the twins and hugged them. I wasn't angry with them, just slightly depressed in knowing nothing was going to be like it used to be.

The twin's were slightly surprised when their mum hugged them. They hugged her back before they started talking, taking turns with their speaking. "We didn't mean to." Ella started shaking her head a little bit. "We were playing and," Char said before Ella finsihed for her. "And it broke." Ella said kind of quietly. "And fell in a puddle. I swear it was an accident." Char started again. "We promise." Ella added, shaking her head a little bit. "We even tried to fix it." Char added causing Ella to look over to her, hoping she wouldn't mention Riley's wand.

"It's okay." I murmured softly when they started explaining, taking turns on talking. "How'd you try and fix it?" I asked, raising a small eyebrow, not entirely sure how they could do that without magic, which in turn made me think that maybe they would be more like me, some ways not good, and grinned a little down at them, wanting them to tell me as I forgot about the slightly depressed feeling, wanting to know their secret.

They both nodded a little, Ella biting her bottom lip slightly as her mum asked her how they had tried to fix it. Char crossed her arms slightly infront of her and shrugged a little bit. What else could they say other than what they really did? Neither of them could think very well at moment and they even started to think about telling the truth. It was okay that they broke it, but they weren't sure how either of them were going to react if they found out about the wand. But after not saying anything for a few moments, Char sighed a little bit and walked over to the bed, reaching under it and taking out the wand before walking back to Riyann and holding it out to her.

I continued to raise an eyebrow through the silence that they left over our head. Smiling inwardly, I heard Char sigh and watched as she went over to the bed and I laughed softly, seeing them pull out a wand and then stopped after a moment, raising a suspicious eyebrow at them. "Who does the wand belong to?" I asked, not dropping my stare from her and taking the wand as I continued inwardly smile.

They stayed quiet for a moment longer, Ella still biting her lip and staying silent, both of them waiting for eachother to answer first. "Daddy.." Charlotte said quietly, looking at a spot on the floor, finding it pretty interesting.

I didn't know what to say or do, I was only finding this interesting and if I started in they'd probably be both relieved and afraid of me being a lunatic. Then there was the fact that Riley had to be distracted enough for them to get the wand. "I won't tell." I said with a small grin and a faint laugh.

They both looked up at her with a surprised look on their faces. "Y-You aren't going to say anything?" Ella chimed in, speaking for the first time in a few moments, a feeling of relief coming over the both of them when she grinned and laughed.

"Say anything about what?" I asked, faking confusion as I was raising a small eyebrow before using Riley's wand to fix the chain on the necklace, smiling softly I moved and put it around Charlotte's neck and went over, picking Ariella up in my arms. "I accidently grabbed daddy's wand silly." I as I was standing with Ella in my arms and I moved a hand to reach for Charlotte's.

They both giggled softly, then watching her fix the chain. Charlotte smiled when Riyann put the necklace aound her neck and moved her hand up to the locket, smoothing her fingers over it. They both nodded at what she said and Ella let her pick her up and Char grabbed onto her hand.

"Let's go give daddy his wand back before he thinks he's gone insane." I said, smiling a little when Char smiled. I really had missed these two, especially Charlotte when she smiled, because I hadn't really gotten to see it before I left, which makes it about a month since I had seen her smile. Quite sad really.

They nodded again and followed her out of the room. They were both happy to have her back, but really they were both still slightly upset with her for leaving.. not that they were really showing that right now.

I sat in the bedroom for a while, not really thinking about anything after a few moments and soon I just stood up again, walking over to the kitchen. I got out a few things for some cocoa, before realising my wand was missing. I was going to use it to heat the water so when I didn't find it I was curious to where I could've put it.

"I really am sorry you two." I murmured softly, catching myself from saying you guys, and kissed Ella's cheek lightly as I squeezed Chars hand softly, Riley's wand in the hand that was helping hold Ariella up, pressed lightly against her side. Pausing slightly outside their room I tried figuring out where Riley was, hearing him in the kitchen and smiled a little, directing Char towards the room with me.

Smiling softly I looked up to Riley. "Hello love. Missing something?" I asked softly, raising a small eyebrow.

They nodded again at what she said, but not commenting on it right now and staying silent. Ella smiled a little when she kissed her cheek and Char squeezed her hand slightly back.

I had started looking through drawers, thinking that maybe I had just gone crazy and accidnetly put it in one of them, when Riyann walked in with the girls. She asked if I was missing something and I nodded about to say what when I saw she was holding it in her hand. "That actually." I said with a small smile and chuckle. "Where'd you find it?"

"Grabbed it from the room thinking it was mine." I said with a sheepish grin towards him. I was fully aware that my own wand was still in the room and made it seem like a plausible mistake. Briefly letting go of Charlotte's hand I took the wand and handed it to him before grabbing her hand again. "You were looking in drawers in the kitchen for your wand?" I asked, raising an eyebrow like he was insane.

I nodded slightly, smiling a little toward her and taking my wand from her when she handed it to me. "Thanks." I said with a smile, then laughing a little at her comment. "Yeah.. I was actually." I said with a small nod.
"I think he's lost it.." Char added with a small grin, causing Ella to grin and nod lightly.

I nodded a little at his thanks and shook my head with an amused grin. "I'll second that." I said with a small laugh before setting Ariella down on the ground and kissed the tops of both the twins heads as I took my hand back from Charlotte. "Why don't you two go play?" I asked softly, grinning at them. Riley and I, we hadn't actually talked, I only reassured him that I was here because I loved him, and I wasn't sure if there was anything else to say or if he had more to say, ask, or something. I was just sure that I wasn't going to act sorry for myself because I made another mistake.

The girls smiled and I smiled a little too, placing my wand in my wand in my back pocket.
The girls smiled a little and nodded. "Okay." They both said before walking back to their room, Char playing with the locket in her hand as she walked.
Once they were back in their room, I looked back to Riyann, "They're okay then?" I asked looking over at her, just realising that Char was wearing the locket.

I watched them go off, Charlotte playing with the locket and smiled softly to myself, not taking my eyes off of them until they were out of my line of sight. "Yeah, I think a little mad still, but they're fine." I said softly, nodding a little when I looked back to him.

I nodded slightly at what she said and looked back at her when she looked back at me. "That's good.. well.. not that mad part, but you know.." I said kind of quietly with a small nod again.

[Riyann Servansikk]

I nodded a little with a small smile. "I know." I said softly moving a little and going over to the counter to pull myself up and sit down. "If they are a little mad they're not showing it in the least." I said with a small shrug. This time I was fully trying to make everything alright, back to normal. Not that I hadn't the others, just this time I had more to lose and I didn't want to lose any of it.

I followed her over to the counter, sitting up on it next to her. "I guess that's good?" I asked looking over to her. "At least they seem okay." I said with a small nod.

I nodded a little. "Anything you want to talk about?" I asked softly, turning towards him with a small smile, I was going to make this work, even if it meant shoving my wand at his throat, though I know I wouldn't ever be able to do that, so maybe I wasn't going to stop at nothing, just almost everything.

"Umm.. I-I can't really think of what to say.." I said with a small shrug, but giving her a small smile back. ".. You're really here becuase you want to be?"

[Riyann Servansikk]

"It's alright." I said softly after hearing him say that he really couldn't think of what to say. It was understandable and I did expect it. "Yeah." I said softly after hearing his question. "I do regret leaving, Riley." I said after a moment. "But I don't too. If I hadn't left I dunno if I could keep holding things up." I added, still keeping my eyes on him, never taking them off. "I didn't. I knew I loved Shell, I just wasn't sure if it was the same, and it's not, not nearly." I added, giving him a reassuring simle.

I nodded slightly, looking to the floor, until I felt her eyes on me and looked back over to her. I listened to what she said and nodded a little bit. "Holding things up?" I asked curoisly, not sure what she meant by it.
I felt a little better at what she said next and smiled a little back.
