Worry

[Arden Patricks]

"No... no we didn't, thank heaven," I say, shaking my head. "It was just a sort of silly mutual crush sort of thing back when we first knew each other. Died out after a couple of months, I think."

[Riley Pearson]

I chuckled a little. "Am I that hideous?" I asked with a small smile at her first statement before nodding a little at the rest of it. "Oh okay... if it was mutual why didn't we?" I asked looking over to her. I coudln't remember anything so Id idn't really feel bad about bringing this up... then agian, it wasn't really important.

[Arden Patricks]

"Just too weird," I shrug, shaking my head yet again. "The whole thing was just too weird, fo me anyway... and there was Riyann...." I shrug again. "Then before long I started seeing you as practically a brother, so I was quite glad nothing ever happened."

[Riley Pearson]

I nodded lightly, "Okay... So have I always been with Riyann?" I asked her curiously, guessing that I must've been. Not that I had any problems with that... cause I didn't. "That's good then... that would've been awkward I guess."

[Arden Patricks]

"Fair bit," I nod, before shrugging in answer to his question. "Well... not always, obviously, but for most of the time that I've known you, other than the times that she 'died,' you have been."

[Riley Pearson]

I nodded slightly, "Okay." I said to her answer, "I guess always wasn;t the best word." I chuckled a little bit. "... times? More than once?" I asked her slightly confused.

[Arden Patricks]

"Oh... right...." I sigh very slightly, almost wishing I hadn't mentioned it because it is a little complicated. "Well... yes, more than once. She had to fake her death once -" Because my brother sold her out. "- and couldn't tell you, so... you were apart for while there."

[Riley Pearson]

I nodded a little bit. "Oh.. okay.." I said kind of quietly, deciding to stop asking questions then too. This sounded like it could get complicated... which would probably just end up confusing me. "I must've been.. quite messed up for a while then..."

[Arden Patricks]

"Little bit," I agree, nodding and biting my lip. "It... it's not exactly the easiest thing to go through."

[Riley Pearson]

"It doesn't sound like it would be.." I said shaking my head a little bit, watching her closely as she bit her lip. "... Sounds like you've expierenced it..." I added softly, then wishing I didn't. Good going Riley...

[Arden Patricks]

I shrug a bit, shaking my head and looking down at the ground, because there really is no way to actually answer that without saying yes or lying. I really don't like having to explain it to people, and it certainly doesn't seem right that I should have to explain it to someone who knew from the beginning.

[Riley Pearson]

I shook my head. "I'm sorry... just, don't answer that." I said quietly, looking over to her. "I spoke before I thought... I-I didn't mean anything..."

[Arden Patricks]

"It's fine," I say, shaking my head. "Just... I don't like to mention it, that's all. But you don't know, so...." I shrug, not really sure how much sense that actually made.

[Riley Pearson]

I nodded, "No, I understand.." I said shaking my head slightly. At least I thought I did.

[Arden Patricks]

I nod again, biting my lip. "Change of subject?"

[Riley Pearson]

"Um.. yeah." I said with a small nod as she bit her lip. "So.. um.. I'm sick of sitting here.. wanna walk around a bit?"

[Arden Patricks]

"'Long as you don't run into a wall and get even more messed up," I shrug agreeably, standing up.

[Riley Pearson]

I chuckled lightly, "Eh, I'll be okay... I hope.. I already fell out of bed this week." I said moving to stand up out of bed too.

[Arden Patricks]

"Only you," I mutter again, shaking my head.

[Riley Pearson]

I chuckled slightly and nodded. "I guess?" I smiled, getting up out of the bed.

[Arden Patricks]

I shrug, shaking my head again.

[Riley Pearson]

I shrugged a little bit, standing up, and getting pretty dizzy and moving to sit back down, my hand to my head. "Okay.. nevermind that.." I said quietly, blinking a few times.

[Arden Patricks]

I frown slightly, moving closer to him and crossing my arms. "You all right there?"

[Riley Pearson]

I nodded. "Yeah.. just sort of dizzy." I said with a small nod looking up to her.

[Arden Patricks]

"Mm...." I nod. "Stood up too fast?"

[Riley Pearson]

"Um.. yeah, maybe..." I said with a small nod, shaking some hair out of my eyes before trying to stand again, a little slower this time.

[Arden Patricks]

"Or it's an aftereffect of whatever you did to your head...." I add, eying him warily as if I except him to fall down. "Have you been given any orders regarding staying in bed or anything like that?"

[Riley Pearson]

"Um.." I started with a small shrug. "Yeah.. maybe?" I told her, biting my lip a little bit looking over to her. So I was supposed to stay in bed, but I was sick of just sitting here.

[Arden Patricks]

"Maybe?" I repeat, raising my eyebrows. "Don't tell me your short-term's been permanently affected as well."

[Riley Pearson]

I shrugged a little. "No.." I started still looking over to her. "I'm supposed to stay in bed..." I said to her witha small shurg.
