"No. Not the Ministry," I say a little too quickly, shaking my head. I'm not fond of Mungo's either, but it's nowhere near as bad. "And do you even have jobs at a hospital that don't involve working with people?"

"Right, sorry." I said shaking my head a little. Sometimes I should think before I speak. "Um.. I don't know.. There's probably something.." I paused again, ".. Maybe."

"Fine." I shake my head, then shrug. "I'll try the post office, I suppose."

"Alright.. You might get stuck with people though.. if you don't work in the back." I said with a small shrug.

"Well, there can't be too many people requesting that, can there?" I shrug slightly. "I don't know. I just... need to find something productive to do with my life."

"No, I guess not." I said with a faint nod. "Yeah, that's understandable." I added giving a faint smile to her.

"Yeah...." I nod again, smiling faintly back.

".. You really wanna work in a mail room though?" I asked, sending a faint smile her way as well, before taking yet another sip of my tea.

"Sure," I shrug. "Probably a lot like the library, but, again, without the people."

I laughed faintly and nodded, "Exactly." I smiled.

I smile faintly for a little bit longer, but then can't really keep it up. It's been dawning on me slowly that this is the most okay I've been since he left, and I wonder if there;'s any way I can just stay here indefinitely... hide out in a closet or something because once I go back home I'll probably cry again.

"Hey, so um.. Do you want anything else?" I asked a moment later, after a bit of silence. "I was thinking about making breakfast or something." I added to that a second later to clarify a little bit.

((Gah, don't want to switch....))
"Isn't it 'bout noon?" I ask in half-amusement, half-surprise. To my additional surprise I think I'm hungry, actually, so then I shake my head. "Not that there's anything wrong with that, if it is. But... yeah, if you're going to."

I laughed some and nodded, "Yeah," I said with a small grin, before shrugging. "I got up late today." I added just to show that I did have some kind of answer, except I generally ate breakfast at any hour of the day. "Alright." I smiled. "Feel like anything?" I asked a moment later, not really too positive what to make. I was thinking maybe pancakes, but I didn't really care.
[[ alright :] ]]

"Only a bit late, yes," I say mock-scoldingly, with a slight smile. "And I don't care... whatever you feel like making."

"Not too late.." I smiled and shrugged, "Would you object to pancakes then?" I asked a moment later, starting to stand up from the table, still smiling a bit over to her.

"No, not at all." I shake my head, then raise my eyebrows. "And what exactly is too late? Ten in the evening?"

"It's never too late for pancakes." I said smiling lightly with a small laugh before shrugging. Then I turned toward the counter and starting getting everything out.

"True," I agree, tilting my head. "We used to have them for dinner at Meredith's sometimes. Though Greg always grumbled it was girl food."

I laughed a little bit, "Girl food? Why are pancakes girly food?" I asked looking over to her, out of curiousity.

"I don't know...." I laugh slightly. "Because men eat meat for dinner, something like that. It's Greg." I shrug.

I laughed a little bit, "I can't decide who's weirder in this situation." I started, smiling a bit, shaking my head. "Me or Greg."

"Probably Greg," I shrug, smiling slightly. "Not that you aren't plenty weird yourself though."

I laughed some, smiling lightly as I started to pour the batter onto the pan, attempting to make various animals. Attempting being the key word there, they usually turn out like weird shaped blobs, maybe resembling some form of life. "Thanks for that Arden. That means a lot to me."

I laughed again and nodded. "I honestly don't see how it couldn't." I added, smiling lightly as I glanced back to her before looking back at the pancakes. I had a small stack forming on the plate next to the stove and after plopping the last couple "llamas" in the pan onto the plate, I grabbed two plates and set all three on the table. Then I grabbed a couple utensils and usual pancake toppings and sat back down.

"Well, you might be offended instead, but if so I doubt we'd've lasted this long." I shrug, then glance with some amusement/faux-trepidation at the blobs on the plate.

I smiled and nodded, ".. Maybe not." I said with a faint laugh, shaking my head a bit, "I love you too much to stay mad though, so.. yeah." I said chuckling faintly with a small smile. I put a pancake on my plate and catching her expression, gave a small laugh. "What?" I asked, glancing to the pancakes for a moment. ".. I know they look funny.. but I tried to make animals."
