Alex was wandering down Diagon Alley, a place he hadn't been in a long time, when he came to the Leaky Cauldron I could do with a quick drink on a day like today He thought. It was a really cold day outside and even in his skinny jeans, shirt and light brown jacket, he was freezing.
The wind swept his dark brown hair over his face, he moved his hand up and moved out of the way as he opened to door to the Leaky Cauldron, he quickly stepped in a closed the door behind him shivering as he did so, the warmth of the pub over came him quickly and he instantly felt warmer, he looked over to a table closest to the fire, it's reflection glinting in his chocolate brown eyes.
Alex walked over to the bar where he was instantly recognised by the bartender "Hello mate, long time no see, want the usual?" he asked Alex "Sounds good, i'll drink anything that will warm me up" He smiled back. The bartener got him his drink, a fire whiskey, and handed it to him, Alex pulled out some change and started to count up the amount he needed "Don't worry about it Alex, this one's on me" "Thanks" Alex said with a smile and walked towards the table by the fire. This had been a crazy week. More crazy than I would have actually liked. I'd broken Riyann out of Azkaban.. and well, really, it was like I hadn't done anything. I hadn't been caught yet and I definitely liked it that way. I was quite comfortable at my job at the Daily Prophet and I also had to say that I was quite comfortable with not being put in Azkaban. It was definitely not the nicest place on earth. Quite the opposite really and I couldn't even stand visiting people there, so I couldn't imagine being put there.
I was just glad that I finally had a day to myself. Not that I really minded being around Riyann, but I just needed a day away from her. It was really strange being so nice to her all the time. In my opinion, I deserved a well needed day off. Though, judging by everyone bothering me I was starting to think that maybe I took it in the wrong place. This bar was way too open and being part veela, I had already had a few guys come up to me and a few guys just stare at me. You would think that I would be used to it by now, but that just wasn't really the case. It was sort of uncomfortable.. not to mention annoying. This was the reason it was so hard to find a semi-decent guy.
I shivered lightly as I felt a cold rush of air hit me from the front of the bar. I was sitting at a table near the fire and being warm, feeling the cold air wasn't exactly a pleasant thing. I lifted my eyes up toward the door just as a guy walk through the doorway and over to the bar. I watched him for a second before just moving my eyes back to my drink, a cup of coffee, which actually had a bit of firewhiskey in it. It was sort of grosse, but oh well, too late now. Which was why I was still drinking it. I paid for it, so why waste the money?
The guy who walked in the bar sat down at a table near mine and I just kept to myself, shifting my gaze from my coffee up to the fire, only glancing at him for a moment before he took his seat.

Alex sat down at his table and took a gulp of his firewhiskey and put his hand to his throat he forgot about the instant burning sensation, he looked at a girl at the table across from him and smiled at her, just so she knew that if she wanted to talk to him he in return would talk back, noticing she was only drinking coffee he called over to the bartender and whispered something in his ear, the bartender smiled and nodded in a knowing way and returned to the bar.
The bartender quickly returned and placed a fire whiskey next to the girl "From the gentle man over there" He smiled at her then at Alex and walked away back to the bar, Alex watched for the girls next move.

I watched as this new guys smiled at me and didn't bother to smile back, just looked back down at my coffee. Though I had to admit that he was much better looking than the rest of the blokes that have been around me today. I'll give him that.
A few minutes later, the bartender was at my table with a firewhiskey. I nodded faintly to the bartender, rolling my eyes slightly before he walked away and looked over to the guy, raising my eyebrows a bit toward him. Do guys ever really learn? If I wanted a firewhiskey I would have gotten one myself, because I am fully capable of ordering and paying for my own drinks. On the other hand, this coffee was pretty grosse. I sighed slightly as I weighed my options. I was sort of bored anyway, maybe I could at least have some kind of fun.
A small smirk rose over my lips and I signaled the bartender back over to me. I smiled sweetly to the bartendar once he came over to me and I asked him quietly to send a butterbeer over to the guy who just sent me a firewhiskey. It was all in good fun. He was obviously old enough to be drinking, but he still looked quite young.. so maybe this was some weird form of a compliment? Or something? The bartendar gave a small laugh and nodded. He returned to the guy's table a moment later, setting the butterbeer down on the table and then with another faint chuckle and smile, walked away. I smiled slightly over to the guy and gave a small wave.

Alex watched the girls face as the drink was taken to her, he watched as she rolled her eyes at it , but still noticed her smile he watched as she called the bartender who then returned to his table and placed a butter beer there, Alex looked at the butter beer to the girl to the bartender "Thanks mate" he whispered.
Alex then picked up his butter beer and held it up to the girl as if in a cheers way , then waved back beckoning for her to join him at his table.

He held up the butterbeer as if saying cheers and I just raised my eyebrows slightly again. He just wasn't going to give up. I guess the butterbeer wasn't a big enough hint. Oh well, something to do I guess. He waved back at me, as if calling me to go sit with him. I don't think so. I was perfectly fine where I was. And well, I'd been sitting here longer than he had been. Which is why I stayed where I was. I lifted my hand faintly back in return in a slightly inconspicuous and alluring manner, not wanting to call much attention to myself.

Alex watched for her reply, she never moved Hmm, a tough one He though, he laughed to himself and downed the the rest of the fire whiskey then got up bringing his butterbeer with him, he walked over to her table and plonked the beer right next to her "I think you sent it to the wrong table" He grinned at her.

I watched him down the rest of the firewhiskey. Oh, that's attractive... I thought to myself sarcastically, rolling my eyes faintly. He walked over to me and I smirked lightly to him as he set the butterbeer down. "No.. I think I sent it to the right one." I said back to him, taking a short glance to the butterbeer before I looked back up to him.

Alex watched her carefully and studied what she did, he smiled slightly at her "No I think your wrong, you see, I don't take drinks from strange people, even ladies such as yourself " He replied pulling up a chair and sitting at her table.

I watched him pull up a chair, sitting down after he spoke. "Well," I started looking over to him, "You see, neither do I." I told him, pushing the bottle of firewhiskey slightly closer to him. I leaned in a little closer. "Even from cute boys like you." I said quietly before leaning back in my chair again.

Alex leaned back in his own chair and laughed "Only you look like you needed one" he said pushing it back "And i'm not just any cute guy, the name's Alex, Alex Arturus, nice to meet you " he smirked slightly awaiting her reply.

"Maybe I don't drink." I suggested, pushing the bottle a bit closer to him again, as he leaned back in his own chair. I did drink, but I did only say maybe anyway, so it wasn't like I was lying or anything. He gave me his name and I paused for second looking at him for a moment. "I'm June.. It's your pleasure, Alex." I told him with a slight smirk. I don't think I normally say that to people, but it sounded like fun at the moment.

Alex smiled "It's not often someone who doesn't drink has firewhiskey in their coffee, trust me it tastes better from the bottle." He said pushing it towards her again "And of course it's my pleasure June, it's not anybody else's is it" He replied gesturing around the place which was practically empty.

"Why do you think I have firewhiskey in my coffee, Alex?" I asked him as I crossed my arms infront of me and raising an eyebrow for a moment, letting him push it towards me again. His next response took me slightly off guard. He was being awfully nice to me. I thought I was being a bit snobbish. I wasn't really even sure how to reply to that. People being nice to me threw me off. "Glad you see it my way then."

Alex chuckled slightly "You can tell my the way it's colored, it looks a orangey color in the light of the fire, that's how I can tell, a nice piece of useless information don't you think" he shrugged still smiling "And yeah, it's better than seeing it my way" He raised and eyebrow slightly.

"I actually think that most drinks do get an orange tint in the light of the fire.." I said with a small nod. "But I'll give it to you.. there's firewhiskey in my coffee.. and you're right. It does taste better out of the bottle." I said with a faint shrug. "So what's your way then?" I asked a moment later.

Alex's face turned from a grin to a more serious face and he lent in on the table and whispered to her "To me it seemed like you were being snobby" He smiled and lent back again "But i'm very sure a lovely person like you wouldn't be like that" he laughed slightly.

And there it is.. I thought to myself at what he whispered. "That's because I was." I said nodding a bit. "That's very nice of you by the way." I said with a faint smile. "But really, you're the fourth guy to buy me a drink today.. and I'm not so lovely." I shrugged faintly. It was true. I wasn't very lovely. In fact, most of the time, I was just a outright bitch. "Congradulations on the being the only one to make it to my table." I nodded slightly.

Alex laughed "If I was wearing a hat I would take it off to you, and wow I feel so privaledged to have made it so far" He said bowing his head slightly then pulling a medal out of his coat pocket, on the back it had To the girl who's had loads of dudes try and pull her Writen on it, he placed it infront of her on the table. "Some one with such a record deserves it" He laughed slightly.

I smiled and nodded a little bit at what he said. "Thank you.. and you should." I nodded, before watching him reach into his coat pocket and pull something out. He set it infront of me and I read what it said, raising my eyebrows slightly. "Well that's lovely." I said in a slightly amused tone, shaking my head a bit. "Where exactly did you get something like that?" I asked looking up to him with a small laugh.

He said that I should keep it and then he got up and walked back over to his table. I raised my eyebrows, obviously taken by surprise. No one's ever done that to me. Which is why I sat there for a moment, not doing anything before I stood up, picking up the firewhiskey and walking over to his table this time. "So I talk to you and then you just.. leave?" I asked standing by his table.

I smirked back to him, leaning forward slightly on the table. Weird how things like this happen. He was a lot more attractive now that he walked away from me. That didn't even make sense to me. "I can see that." I told him with the same small smirk before taking a sip of the firewhiskey. "So can I ask why you walked away from me then?"

Alex smirked and chuckled a little "Just to see if you liked me enough to follow" He shrugged slightly in a mocking way, he though June was very attractive and he wanted to see if she though he was, it was just his way.

"Well, who says I didn't just follow you out of annoyance?" I asked raising my eyebrows slightly to him. Actually this was half the reason why I did follow him. He walked away from me, when I thought I was making it pretty obvious that he was allowed to sit there.
