Shell was laying in the middle of the cobblestone floor of her classroom, just staring at the ceiling. She had been there a while now, maybe an hour or two but it only felt like five minutes if that.
A few days ago was still carved into her mind, seeing the hatred and anger towards her from two of her closest friends when Shell ran into them at Gringotts. It was so confusing and heartwrenching... everyone thought she was dead, but she wasn't.
At least she didn't think so. Shell did feel different, as if Ruby was never apart of her, as if she had never had a horrible event ever effect her life. It was all just werid and rather confusing as well.
Shaking her head from her thoughts she sighs lightly before humming softly to herself as her eyes shifted to a window as she stared at the moon and its light draining slowly into the room. |

I walked up the stairs slowly, I really really couldn't believe Shelby was really gone, but it had become apparent that she was and I was trying to stop crying over it on the occasion that I did. I had other things to worry about, like protecting my family and such from whatever it was that was going to be happening. Still, I wanted to see Shelby, or just go up to the Astronomy tower because that was one of the places she probably loved more than anything.
Being at Gringotts just ran through my mind and I shook my head. How Rubalyn could just go around pretending to be Shelby again blew my mind, and it hit me even harder that Shelby was gone. Really gone.
Opening the door to the tower slowly I watched as the glow of the moon flowed into the room and looked around, seeing a body laying in the middle of the floor. If it wasn't for the humming I'd say it was a dead body, but I could feel my eyes water up as I saw Rubalyn, yet again looking and dressed as Shelby. Why would she try and pretend in her own classroom? Maybe she was meeting somebody or something stupid, didn't matter. I froze by the door, now not wanting to be here, but after a few seconds I moved in and past Ruby.

Shell heard a few steps walking into the tower and instantly felt for her wand. Again she had to remind herself that she didn't have it. Maybe she was gone afterall. Shell didn't see a need to have her wand if she was dead. Nothing was going to hurt her or could for that matter.
"Riyann. Am I dead? Am I ghost or something... is that why you and Briar were acting that way towards me the other day? I could leave you guys be if I knew how but I'm just confused." she says softly, noticing who it was now as she walked past Shell on the floor as she turned over onto her stomach so she could look at Riyann now. I could feel my fingers wrap lightly around the Holly wood wand that belonged to Shelby and looked out one of the windows that I stopped in front of. The astronomy tower and the stars, the two things that really did remind me of Shelby.
I stayed silent, wanting to tell her to piss off and drop the whole act because it was getting old, but the way she said she was confused cause me to bite back the comments. Now I didn't know what to think and I was scared about that. It's Rubalyn you dolt, stop. I turned to look at her now, not sure what to think, biting my lip softly. "J-just drop the charade Ruby." I whispered, diverting my eyes past her.

Shell sighs a bit, before biting her lip. "Riyann, please. I'm not Ruby, even if that's my real name. But I'm not her. But will you tell me the truth? Am I a ghost or something?' she asks again before tempted to stand up and sit in a window now as well. [/size] |

Shell sighs a bit before standing up and looking around the classroom. "Well, I'm wandless, and my wand is pretty much dedicated to my children. We ran away together, got drunk once a while ago and you said I was acting like I was fourteen... is that enough?" she asks walking over to Riyann as she bit her lip again. [/size] |

"I have you're wand, that's why." I said, even though maybe this really was Shelby, should I be jumping for joy? "And you got to see Shell's thoughts as it was. Prove it to me with something I know Shell would only know." I whispered out the window.

"I thought you were dead." I whispered softly after I'd turned to see her, biting my lip softly. I didn't know what to feel at the moment, but I was glad she wasn't dead like Rubalyn had said she was and I smiled a little towards her.

I felt bad now for really believing Ruby, though it's not like I had at first. "I-I, it's not like I did at first." I whispered, I'd actually tried several different things to catch her through her lie. I fell silent, and turned to look out the window again.

I heard Shelby walking towards me and bit my lip softly, really I should just be jumping for joy that she was alive, but nope, for some reason I have the stupid actions to complete. "She tortured you while you sat there willingly." I whispered, knowing that it sounded just stupid, but still. "And I couldn't believe it, and then I did."

I heard her speak and barely nodded, I knew Shell wouldn't sit there, but there had been no way to find out that Ruby was lying. When she said Ruby was just out to hurt me I shook my head sligthly, Ruby loved me, why would she, but I said nothing of it. Feeling her grab my hand I squeezed hers lightly and moved slightly so I wrapped my other arm around her in a hug, still holding her hand.

I felt her hug me back and smiled slightly. "Really?" I asked softly, biting my lip softly, not sure what to say, even if Shell laughed before pulling from the hug completely. "Sure." I said softly, nodding a little. It was sad to think that I didn't know if I knew the real Shelby or not, or if the Shell I thought I knew was mostly Ruby showing through. Now you'll find out. I hadn't managed to lose the voice in my thoughts, but I'd managed to stop answering it.

Shell rolls her eyes slightly before biting her lip again. "Just warning you is all love." she says with a faint laugh passing through but looks out the window at the stars. "Anything else happen when I was gone? Like did my wand just obilerate or something? I can't find it anywhere. Or the fact that my dark mark is going all bonkers is meaning something as well?" she asks at once, still staring out the window at the sky as the moonlight fell through and made Shell's hair appear almost white and her blue eyes sparkle even more than usual. "I already said I have it hun." I said softly, taking the wand from my back pocket and holding it out to her. "Ruby gave it to me actually." I murmured, and the only reason I'd taken it was so I could hold it for Shelby, and well because she said Shell wanted me to have it. "I think they're starting another war." I whispered, I actaully knew they were, I just didn't want to believe it.
