Annie groaned in frustration as she set her sandwich back on the park bench. "Julia! Just because you are bigger than Nora, it does not mean you can push her out of the way!" She called over to where her eldest daughter had just forced herway to be first down the slide. "But Ma, she was takin' forever!!" she complained, then turned to stick her tongue out at her five year old sister. Annie groaned again and put her face in her hands as Nora screamed, "MA! JULES JUST STUCK HER TONGUE OUT AT ME!!"

Annie shook her head, eyes wandering around the park as she did so. For the first time since he had arrived, she noticed the guy standing at the edge of a park. She instantly straightened, eyes darting back and forth between the newcomer and her daughters, hand reaching to the flap of the large pocket on her velvet coat, before recognizing the man as Jack, eyes widening.

Annie glanced back over to make sure her kids weren't dead, then turned to Jack with a huge grin on her face. "Jack?" She asked, standing up and closing the distance between them. "Oh my god! It's been forever!"

Annie shrugged. "We've been on a 'break' for a few years now. He moved out of the house, but still lives in town, sees the kids all the time. We're still friends, but not really married."

She shrugged. "We just kinda... stopped. I don't really know, we just couldn't be married anymore. Nothing happened, we weren't fighting, we just looked at each other one day and realized we weren't in love anymore."

Annie smiled back, then looked over at her daughters. "I really have to get the girls home and cleaned up before they go to their da's." She turned back to him. "Want to come with us?" She asked with another smile. "We've got caaaake." She said enticingly.
