Thunder {Rubalyn}

Rain poured down the dark streets of Knockturn Alley as the black-haird witch ran down them. She had been sick for a while, stuck in bed. She didn't know what to do now that she was better. But her children were gone with shcool and Alex had been busy lately, so she decided to take a midnight run like she used to do.

Thunder rumbled through the sky and heat lightning light up the street. She liked it, for some reason she felt secure. The alleyways, no one would be able to see in. That was the only thing that she didn't like about this place at night. Is that you couldn't see a thing hardly. But she was prepared.

Briar stopped at a corner and put her hands on her knees, catching her breath. "Goodness, I'm out of shape," She whispered to herself. The rain that was poured down on her cooled her off and she leaned up against the building she stopped at. She looked up at the dark, cloudy sky, thinking.

She had been so out of touch with everyone lately. Shelby hadn't been by to see her or Alex, she hadn't gotten nor sent any letters to the kids. It was a sad thing. She was out odf touch with family and friends ever since she had that encounter with Logan and gotten sick. She frowned at the thought and closed her eyes, just as another burst of thunder rumbled through.

Ruby was leaning against a building wall in knockturn watching the black haired girl running down the road. She had to admit it was rather dumb to be here in the daytime let alone in the dark of the night if you weren't a former deatheater.

She decided to have a little fun and walk out of the alley she was in once the girl stopped taking a quick breath from her run. "You can say that again." she smirks standing right in front of Briar now her arms resting on her hips as she waited for her to stand back to her full height. "Miss me love?"

Briar sighed as she looked back down after staring at the sky for a minute or two. She was soaked by now, because of the rain. As usual, she didn't care. She didn't care about the danger of this street, all she could think about was the dilemma she was in. Logan or Alex is what she constantly thought about, even when she was sick. It's kind of sad, once you think about it.

She shook her head of thoughts, just as she heard an all too familiar voice. She stood up to her full height and narrowed her eyes at the person infront of her, crossing her arms over her chest. "I thought we got rid of you a long time ago," She said casually. "I guess I was wrong." She actually kind of expected her to be back sooner or later. But not now, when everything else was happening. Which kind of sucked, now she had Rubalyn to deal with aswell.

Ruby just laughs a little, watching Briar cross her arms over her chest. "Now love you know you can't get rid of me. Actually Shelby and I sort seperated. I no longer have her tying me down." she says with a smirk before walking closer to her so she could easily knock her over if she wanted.

"So Logan's back I've seen." she says with another laugh. "Ran into him. Saying that you rather stay with Alex than him... so I could only think of one way to comfort him. He did refuse at first but after a few tricks from up my sleeve he gave in." she smirks again before raising an eyebrow at her.

Briar put her hand into her pocket, taking out her wand and placing it by her side. She knew better than to toy with Rubalyn after everything. She hated her with a passion, but it didn't help that she looked like Shelby. "Well, isn't that just wonderful," She muttered, her fists clenching.

She had to look down at the mention of Logan's name. She still didn't know hat to do. She was kind of afraid of her decision. Either way, she'd be hurting someone close. The only problem was, Logan had always been the one that hurt her emotionally when she was with him. Alex didn't. She looked up through her eyelashes at Rubalyn, "Really now?" She didn't show her any sign of hurt, not even her eyes.

She had been getting better at hiding her emotions.

That didn't seem to work as much as I thought it would. Plan B.
"Yes, it was quite interesting. He actually still called me Briar a few times. Rather insulting if I say so myself. Even under the imperious curse he still was pretending it was you." she says with a shrug before holding her wand to her side as well.

"Oh by the way. Riyann has Shell's wand, since well. She killed her. Actually we both did it. Must say it was liberating to get rid of her after all these years, especially with one of her friends by my side. Claims she loves me, she does." she laughs a little before raising an eyebrow at her. "What do you think of that? Your best friend is now gone forever."

Briar felt te corners of her lips lift a little. She couldn't help it, knowing that Logan still had feelings for her made her a little happy. She ignored the part of where Rubalyn said it was insulting. She looked up at Rubalyn and merely shrugged. "Your point being?" She asked her casually.

Briar stiffened a little at that. Riyann wouldn't kill her, she just wouldn't. Sure, things have been..rough for them. But she wouldn't go so far that she would kill her in coldblood. Before she even knew it herself, she had her wand pointing at Rubalyn's neck. "You're just trying to press my buttons tonight, aren't you? What has possessed you to come and ruin my life again?"

Ruby just shrugs a bit. "Just thought you should know. He was already drunk, babbling on how he needed to get you away from Alex and yadda yadda yadda. Just think it's funny that he still loves you after all this time is all." she shrugs again.

Ruby eyes her wand a bit just laughing some. "Oh my dear. I'm telling you the truth. Riyann and I both killed her. Of course Riyann had no choice in the matter. Imperious curse as well. Actually with Shell's wand too. Some torture, mind tricks and then she just gave in. Can't blame her. Being divorced already." she says with a laugh. "I have her death certificate on me if you wish to see it."

Briar pushed her wand into her throat slightly, her eyes showing that she wasn't afraid to pull out a spell. She was tired of Rubalyn coming and ruining everything for her. It was everytime she had something else going on aswell. "I don't believe you. I have no reason too," She said roughly. She didn't know whether to believe her or not. She hadn't seen Shelby in..well..forever. She shook her head of the thoughts and narrowed her eyes at her.

Ruby shrugs a little, moving her head around Briar's waist pulling her closer so her wand would knick at her skin but Ruby didn't care. "Now love. You have every reason to believe me. After all, I'm Shelby in a way too remember that." she says in an exact comparison of a Shelby look and tone of voice. "Shall we go for a walk? We haven't done that for a while have we?" she asks in the same tone just to get at her. Just another mind game.

Briar looked at her for a moment, her wand not moving. Her face softened at the tone of the voice, then she had to remind herself that it was Rubalyn. It was a game. Nothing more. It wasn't Shelby.

She said herself that they had seperated.

She pushed her away from herself and muttered, "Avis," causing a flock of birds to fly from her wand at towards Rubalyn. "Leave me alone Rubalyn. You can't trick me." She said that just as a rumble of thunder and flash of lightening hit causing her to look up for a moment. She hoped that Brendyn was okay. He never did like storms.

Ruby covers her face with her hands feeling the birds peck violently at them before mumbling a spell that made them disappear. Glancing at her hands' new cuts and blood flowing from them she sighs, using a healing spell as well.

"You know we're always connected now Briar. Even if she's gone off this planet, she's still right here. What's her saying? Always follow your heart?" she says still in the same Shelby tone. "You know there might be a reason why she was so upset that you wouldn't leave Alex. Maybe he was and still is cheating on you perhaps?"

Briar glared at Rubalyn for a few minutes, not saying anything to her. What could she say? All she wanted to do was kill her with her own bare hands. But that'd be too violent. She eventually lowered her wand slightly, sighing loudly, "What do you want Rubalyn? Why are you here, telling me all of this?" She asked her over the loud thunder that kept booming in the sky.

She didn't understand what Rubalyn was here for. Though, she knew it couldn't be good. It either had something to do with the family or ruining her or Shelby's life. That's all she knew. Right now, she was thinking she was trying to ruin her life.

"You know I just like to look out for everyone. Don't want any shocks of truth when you stumble in on him with the maid or someone else for that matter." she says loudly over the thunder with a shrug before crossing her arms lightly over her chest. "Your welcome love. But I must go and ruin more people's lives. Maybe like Molly or Andra."

Briar's hands started shaking, along with her body, because she was so mad or upset. What could she say about this? She refused to believe Rubalyn for the reason that she was practically evil. Her right hand clenched into a fist and before she knew it, she had swung a punch in her direction, hoping to aim for her nose. "You. Leave them alone. Ruin my life, I don't care. But leave everyone else alone Rubalyn." After that swing, she felt alittle better. "Now, why are you back Rubalyn?"
