Sudden Outburst;;Shelby

I was starting to get myself worried, with keeping things from Riley, making him know that he wasn't going insane, and trying to not focus as bad on my thoughts so I could go back to work without worrying about a sudden outburst on my part, and now it was all starting to slip. I was lucky that Riley's parents brought the girls out again, or maybe they knew I was insane and wanted to keep them away from me as much as possible, either way it was a good thing. I mean, I'd started going around the house boredly with a kitchen knife in one hand and Shelby's wand in the other, waiting for something to do. Maybe even for somebody to kill, and from hearing that thought I was out of there, though I probably shouldn't have just dropped the knife on the stairs.

Though I wasn't entirely surprised to find myself suddenly at the door that was swinging open on the shrieking shack, I mean Shelby was supposedly in there and I did want to see her and make sure she was okay.

Biting my lip softly I held the door open enough so I could step through, my every footstep making a creaking sound against the floor boards. Making my way through the shack, I looked through some of the doors, but Ruby said she was locked up.

Suddenly I had the feeling of wanting to go and kill someone again, but I ignored it as best I could, walking through the hallway, seeing a door shut ahead of me and making my way towards it. "Shelby?" I called softly, finally getting the door open and watching as it swung open to darkness. Maybe Shelby wasn't even in here, maybe Ruby did lie, maybe she was upstairs, or it was just a set up. Didn't matter which it was I wanted to find her and I was more hoping she wasn't stuck in this dark room that I'd so far stepped into.

Ruby was sitting in the chair that Shelby was previously sitting in for the past two weeks... or up until a few hours ago. Someone came in here and set her free and now she had no idea even where she was.

She turns around before seeing Riyann standing in the room. "Ah Riyann. How nice of you to stop by. May I help you with something love?" she asks leaning back some in the chair just giving Riyann an innocent smile. She was going to have some fun with this afterall.

Looking into the room more I became more used to the darkness, though I'd only been standing there for a matter of a minute before a voice came from further in the room and I bit my lip softly, watching the figure leaning back in the chair now. "Probably not." I said softly, shrugging a little, looking around the room with a small glance. "Just wondering if Shelby was here like you said she was." My eyes were turned back to Rubalyn when I said Shell's name and I raised a small eyebrow.
Really now it didn't seem as dark in the room as I thought it had been orignally.

Ruby shrugs a bit, waving her wand a few candles in the room giving a dim lighting around the area. "Oh she was. Just she died is all. I guess she couldn't take the torture as well as I thought." Ruby shrugs before smirking over to Riyann. "After all, why would you care though? You don't think she loved you so why would it matter?"

I watched as Rubalyn made the room slightly lighter by candles, just watching her as she did so, waiting for whatever it was she had to say. Just she died is all. I could feel my heart dropping at the words, even more when the words kept going through my mind. "I loved her though Ruby." I said, shaking my head a bit, the thought hadn't set in as far as it had seemed, sure I was hurt, but I didn't recognize her as gone. "Where's the body then?" I asked, knowing Ruby and knowing it could just be a trick up her sleeve.

Ruby shrugs a bit just watching Riyann's face. "Now it's not necessary to lie Riyann. We all know you didn't love her. After all you went with Riley." she shrugs again getting up from the chair and looking out the broken windows with a fake frown. "Oh I just got rid of her body in the forest somewhere. Maybe a creature ate her... who knows." she laughs looking out the window before glancing back at Riyann. "Something wrong?"

"Glad it's not necessary, I was still telling the truth Ruby." I said, watching her as she got up from the chair. I had, no, I did love Shelby, she left me for Draven because it would've been 'better' and I went back to my husband because I loved him more as I seemed to have found out. The way things had gone were not my fault in the least. "I," No, you don't believe her, just say that. "I can't quite believe you then." I said, shrugging a little after I spoke.

Ruby rolls her eyes at Riyann before smirking a little. "So, would you believe a certified copy of her death? Why do you think I've been hiding here or in the room of requirement? People haven't seen her so there you go." she says with a laugh, picking up the paper from a box and handing it to her. The parchment clearly stated that Shelby Amarial Crescent died only three days ago. "And if you want I can show you where I left her body if it's still there."

I watched as she rolled her eyes, a smirk coming clearly across her lips after a brief moment. "I-I, I want her back." I whispered, knowing that it really was only showing weakness to have said that and sounded the way I did. Shelby just couldn't be gone, it couldn't have happened. Not again. Still I took the parchment that she handed me, starting to read it, but my eyes stopped on her name and i bit my lip softly. "Why would you do that?" I asked, referring to her leaving Shelby's body in the woods.

"Why do you want her back? You rather her be miserable and alone?
She didn't even care. Just sat in that chair untied and didn't even defend herself Riyann." she says with a sigh just looking back out the window and into the forest. "Why wouldn't you do that?" Ruby raises an eyebrow at her, throwing the question back at her.

I didn't want Shelby miserable and alone, didn't mean I wanted her dead. I still couldn't bring myself to letting her go, it was impossible. Doesn't sound right, or like Shelby. It didn't, I really doubt Shell would have sat in a chair to be tortured and not have been tied. "I don't believe that." I said softly, loooking away.
"I asked you first Rubalyn, and I didn't kill her." If you thought about it, she did kill her if she was telling the truth, tortured her to death.

"She was wandless remember? And she's not physically strong then with a wand drawn at you, I could see her point of view." She says looking at her with a grin on her lips knowing that Riyann had Shelby's wand. "It's simple. Because why would I bury someone who I don't care about?"

I could only feel sicker at her words because I had happened to have had Shelby's wand when this happened, though it was Ruby's fault. "You said you don't fight someone wandless, wouldn't that tie into this?" I asked, still trying to find some small piece of blind hope that this wasn't really happening, still it was dawning on me that it really was my fault. "I don't see how I could have loved you Ruby." I whispered, though I knew I still did, didn't mean I had to say that.

"We weren't fighting nor were we dueling. There's a difference in torture and fighting." she says with a smile, knowing what she was getting. Ruby's mind tricks, you always had to read between the lines not what's visible. You had to think of every loop pole possible in order to out wit her. "I don't either. Love just makes us weak, insecure and dependent on someone that can ruin what you have instantly." she says looking up at Riyann. "Like you did to Shelby."

"There's not much Ruby, even you should know that." I said, shaking my head a little at her. For whatever reason I hadn't wanted to take Shelby's wand was now gone and I wanted to hold onto it even more because of this. "Seems you must be a bit weak then." I muttered, shaking my head a little. "I didn't do anything to Shelby. That was all you, remember?"

Ruby sighs again just shrugging some. "Still a difference though none the less. But she thought you did... always loved playing mind tricks on her. But that doesn't matter though does it?" she laughs a bit.

"I wouldn't call it enough of a difference." I said, really not wanting to be here any longer. I think I would even rather going and murdering a few people then to continue talking to her. We always could. The voice sounded very hopeful, simply I shook my head though. "I-I didn't," I whispered softly before shaking my head at her slightly, wondering how she could be like this, I just started to turn out of the room instead of trying to figure out the impossible.

The moment she turned around Ruby just grinned knowing her lie worked. "It was nice seeing you Riyann. Please stop by anytime love." she calls with a laugh following short after her sentence.

"Piss of Ruby." I said, half of me really wanted out of there, the other half didn't. It wanted to stay and help Ruby with whatever she needed, hoping to help kill a few people before we left. That half I really didn't want, but it was enough to make me pause at the doorway, causing me to bite my lip, she was going to want to know what I wanted now and Id din't want to say.

She tilts her head to the side before walking to the middle of the room. "What are you doing Riyann? Leave. Go run away like usual." she laughs a little before crossing her arms over her chest.

"What exactly would I be running from Rubalyn?" I asked, turning to face her, my arms crossed across my chest. "You? Not likely."

"Oh really? I can give you a reason if you wish my dear." she says walking to the doorframe, just leaning each hand on the frame. "Unless you rather cheat on Riley again... I'll settle for that as well love." she says with a smirk down at her.

She came closer but I just stayed where I was. "Well whatever you think I don't want a reason and I wasn't hiding." Just trying to make up my mind. I bit my lip softly, not answering what she said next. I couldn't cheat on Riley again.

"Then what is it? Either you're seriously turning into Shelby slowly or you're just trying to mess with my mind which I know isn't gonna happen." she says with a raised eyebrow at her. "And you didn't answer my last question either. Should I take that as a yes or no?"

"How would I be turning into Shelby? Or how would I be messing with your mind, or trying at least?" I asked, raising an eyebrow to her at the questions. "That really doesn't matter, does it?"

"Nevermind." she says rolling her eyes and walking back over to the table. "Well your opinion and answer does matter to me Riyann. After all, I love you so." Ruby says in an exact replica of Shelby's voice and continues to use it. "Something wrong hun?"

I shook my head, hating how you could never say nevermind to Ruby or Shell but they could say that too you. She made her way back over to the table and I just watched her as she did. Hearing her speak again I bit against my lower lip to not just curse her or something. "Yeah, you Ruby." I said, looking away now.

"Well, since you enjoy standing in this shack, not telling me what you want or why you're still here for some reason, I'm going to go find Briar. Tell her the news as well that her best friend has perished. Hope to see you soon love." she says still in the same Shell tone before kissing her cheek lightly before heading out of the room.

"Ruby." I said, really not wanting her to tell Briar, I mean, I didn't want to know because I didn't want to believe that she was gone. I felt her kiss my cheek and grabbed onto her arm lightly as she started away, not quite wanting her to go, yet at the same time I did.

"What love?" she says stopping once she felt her grab her arm and looked down into her eyes just waiting for why she stopped her. "Well?"
