Melissa had woken up rather late. She had looked around her room and noticed that almost all her roommates beds were made. She ran her fingers through her hair as she jumped from her bed and rushed off into the bathroom for a shower. While she took her shower she had began to wonder where everyone was. She wrapped her towel around her tiny body and brushed her teeth before getting changed.
She made her way out of the common room and headed downstairs. Not bothering to change into her uniform giving that the fact that it was the weekend. She shook her head ashamed that she continued to confuse the week days with the weekend. She made her way to the moving stair case leaning on her right leg she waited as she tugged her at her blue top. She was just about to step down to the other set of stairs when it quickly changed making her taking a couple steps back bumping into someone. She turned around looking at the person she ran into."Sorry!"She told her.

Letting a soft yawn pass my lips I looked around as I walked down the corridors, dressed in a pair of tattered blue jeans and a tank top that I would usually wear for dance practice. "Shouldn't be wearing this, don't have the money to buy another." I muttered to myself. Though I didn't much care, it was the weekend and I usually just went to sit in the library or to the lake to read a book, I wasn't going to ruin it.
Not paying attention to where I was going I felt someone bumping into me and took a step back to catch myself, sure that if the girl hadn't been there I probably would've just stepped off where the staircase wasn't. "S'alright." I said, smiling slightly towards her, feeling like I should turn back around and go hide in the common room today as well, though I hate having no social life, so I stay.

She caught herself laughing, not at the girl but more at her..they near death experience. She wasn't normally afraid of height but at this moment she was glad to be as far away from the edge as she could. She tucked a strand of her short blond hair behind her ear and smiled at the girl. Before realizing that she didn't know her. It wasn't odd for Melissa not to know certain people. they could be the most popular person in school and she would probably still wouldn't know who they were.
"Sorry."She heard herself say again and smiled at the girl when she said it was alright."I'm Melissa...I don't think we've met."She said sticking out her hand. She laughed at herself. It was painfully obvious they didn't know each other. She was for certain in a different house, she remember all the peoples faces in her house just not the name....well most of the time anyways.

Hearing the girl start laughing, I could've sworn my eyes got faintly larger as I wondered why she was laughing and why for some reason, if, she was laughing at me. Though I could be mistaken and she's just all around crazy, which might be cool, or scary. Seeing her smile though, I smiled slightly back to her. Nothing about her seemed familiar, not somebody that I might have a class with, then again I pay no attention to the people in my classes.
"No problem, probably would've walked straight off if you hadn't run into me." I said, wondering why I spoke so much, though I never really did. "Jessie." I said, taking her hand and shaking it after a moment.

She watched the girl's expression change and hoped it wasn't because she had just started to laugh randomly. She hoped Jessie didn't think Melissa was laughing at her. Sure Melissa just liked to laugh and usually had the tendency to laugh at whatever."Sorry...I uh wasn't laughing at you by the way. I'm just you know crazy like that. Laughing and all."She winked laughing some more.
She looked at her almost in shock. She didn't think anyone was behind her when she had moved back. Let alone think she would be saving someone from their death. Her eyes gleamed in surprise."Wow, really that's awesome...then I'm not sorry that I bumped into you."She smiled. "And its nice to meet you Jessie."

I laughed a little when she said she wasn't laughing at me and just called herself crazy and I shook my head a little. "Alright, just so long as you're crazy." I smiled a little, shaking my head slightly again.
I wasn't exactly expecting to see her look so shocked, though I guess she was a little shocked by something I said. And then she looked surprised, causing me to laugh this time. "Then that's good, you know, unless you wanted me dead." I grinned towards her. "Nice you meet you too."

She grinned and laughed lightly."Yup, that's me crazy. I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about."She told her as she walked up to a step and just sat down not really wanting to stand so close to the edge anymore."What house and year are you in?"She asked her knowing that she was pretty sure Jessie wasn't in her house.
She gasped a bit surprised at what she had said."Sure I'm crazy, but why would I want to kill you?"She asked her laughing."Besides I don't even know you, its not like you my mortal enemy or something....I don't even think I have enemies."She grinned.
