It was definately time for school to start. The past 6 years, Melody's mom gave her a purse full of money, paid for a hotel room, and dropped her off at the Leaky Cauldron for a week. All so that she could get her things for school. Not that Melody complained. After a summer with just her mom, she couldn't wait to get away from her. Don't take it wrong. She loves her mom. But some times, she just gets under your skin, in a bad way.
This year was no different. So, at the end of her second day at the Cauldron, Melody sat at the bar, enjoying a butter beer and listening to the locals talk. Every once in a while, there'd be an interesting tidbit of gossip, but not tonight. As she listened, she watched the doors, hoping that someone she knows will show up. Anyone at all.

Shell was walking down the muggle street slowly before stopping to rest against a wall. She had just gotten out of the hospital but her bandages were still wrapped around her arms. "There's no way I can walk all the way there." she mumbles, searching her jacket again to see if her wand was there and was somehow hiding in the shallow pockets.
She puts a hand through her curls looking up at the sky before realizing the Leaky Cauldron sign swaying back in forth. A grin appears onto her pale face and pushes the door open, almost falling into the floor due to her weakness still. She shuffles past a few people waving at them because of her deceased husband's former job here for about fourteen years maybe more. "I'll have a butterbeer Tom." she says softly before taking off her jacket and looking around a bit until she noticed a younger girl but just smiles at her slightly before looking to the bar counter.

Melody smiled back at the woman who sat at the bar. Something about her caught Mel's attention. It wasn't the bandages, though they certainly brought a question or two to her mind. She couldn't figure out what it was.
Waving Tom over, Mel put a few extra coins on the table. "Put her drink on my tab."
