Walking down the streets of her hometown, she thought about why she wanted to come home to see her dad. Was she worried about him? Maybe. But why? He never worried about her. He never spoke to her. Maybe she was a bit more mature than her father.
Kylie stopped at the rundown shack and looked at it hard for a few minutes. There was no sign of life there because her father kept himself in his room. Quite sad, really. Couldn't he get over it like she as trying to do? Obviously not. Before she could turn the knob on her door, she turned and walked down the street a little longer before sitting down on a bence, just across the street from the park.
She didn't know what she was feeling at the moment. She wanted to see her dad, but also wanted to yell at him for not spending more time with her and try to get on with his life. It was obvious that he was going to wallow in pity until he died, but she wanted to do all she could for him. Letting out a frustrated groan, she pulled at her hair and rested her chin in her palms while her palms rested on her knees.
She hated being confused.

I finally remembered, finally; and even though it was a good feeling and I was more than happy that I did, I almost wondered if it would've been better if maybe I didn't, but that thought didn't stay with me for very long. I knew that Riyann wanted to be with me. She didn't want to leave me, like she tried to do and she did trust me, at least this was everything she was telling me. I didn't put much thought into whether or not I should believe her, I just did. I wasn't sure how I couldn't, really. I just wished that Lottie and Ella wouldn't've heard us fighting. Ella seemed to be okay, but Lottie, I wasn't so sure about. She was still pretty upset with Riyann for leaving.
This was all basically the reason I was here. I needed to just go out and think. I wasn't really all too sure what I really wanted to think about and moreover just wanted to get out of the house and do something. So I figured the best thing to do would be to just go to the park, maybe take a run. I wasn't really sure. All I knew was that the girls were with my parents and there was no use being at home in an empty house.
I sighed slightly as I reached the sidewalk across from the park, kicking a small rock as I walked. I heard a frustrated groan from a few feet ahead and, with my hands in my pockets, shook some hair from my eyes and walked over to the girl, who I assumed to be probably a little more than half my age.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, wondering if I should have at all, or maybe if I should've just kept walking. [[ i rambled a tad XD sorry!! ]]

Kylie looked up when sh heard a male voice and her eyebrows raised slightly. Someone was actually asking if she was okay? That was a change. Usually no one asked her anything along those lines. She looked at the young man for a moment before nodding, "I'm fine..just frustrated," She finally admitted.
Kylie was one of those girls that never admitted her feelings because she thought someone would blow her off and not listen to what she had to say. Ofcourse, she wasn't exactly the nicest Ravenclaw so she expected that anyway. But she was actually gld someone asked if she was, even a stranger.

I watched her raise her eyebrows slightly and nodded faintly when she said that she was fine and just frustrated. I could tell. That was one good thing about having two girls of my own. I got pretty good at picking up when they were and they weren't completely okay.
Personally, I was usually one to listen to others when they wanted to talk, but I wasn't sure if this girl did. For one, I didn't even know her and another... well, I didn't know her. I would think it would probably be awkward.
"Kind of what it seemed like..." I said quietly with a small nod.

Kyie smiled lightly at the young man and said, "I could be asking you the same thing. Or do you always talk so quietly?" She knew a couple of Ravenclaws that talked quietly, but she thought she should ask. After all, he did ask if she was okay. It could be anything. She didn't want to be nosy. But she didn't want to leave him andhi be upset or something.

I smiled a little bit and just shrugged a little. "Eh, I'm okay." I said, wondering why I was talking quietly originally. "Not really sure why I was talking so quietly actually." I chuckled faintly with a small shrug. "Just a lot of things on my mind is all I guess."

"You and me both," Kylie said, looking down the street to where her house was. It was more of a rundown shack, but who cares. Looking up at the man, she held out her right hand, "My name is Kylie, and you are?" She askd him. Hey, might as well introduce yourself. That way someone doesn't have to go 'Hey, you there! Girl!' but call her by her name.

She held out her hand to me and I smiled lighlty to her. "I'm Riley." I said, shaking her hand lightly. "Nice to meet you, Kylie." I kind of started to wonder how old she was. She couldn't've been my age. At least I didn't think so. I wasn't sure, but I think if I had to guess I'd say she was seventeen or maybe eighteen.

Kylie smiled and nodded at him, "It's a pleasure, Riley," She said. She looked down towards the shack again then said, "You see that rundown shack? That's what I was thinking about. My father..and I guess you could say I, live there. My father is so frustrating," She said with a slight sigh. She looked back over at him. She wanted to tell someone what she was thinking, because no one else would listen. And Riley seemed nice enough.

I smiled and nodded slightly, moving and sitting down next to her as she started talking again. I followed her eyes over to the shack and then looked back at her. Hearing that her father was the one who was frustrating her, I nodded slightly. It was kind of funny how your opinion changed once you became a parent. "I'm sure he just wants what's best for you... but I guess I don't know the whole story.."
