Walking into the hospital wing with her hand sliced open she glances around the place seeing that Madam Pomfrey must had been on her lunch break. Shell sighs looking at the stand of bandages and cloth wraps and smiles deciding to fix her own wound.
"There we go. Good as new." Shell says softly looking at her handiwork before turning around and noticing a younger hufflepuff student holding his arm. "Umm. I'm not the nurse. Sorry." He starts to whine and complain about his arm causing her to sigh. "Fine fine. Sit up here on the bed." Shell points at the bed next to her and looking at his arm hearing the doors open again. "You owe me for this Pomfrey." she mutters under her breath.

Kylie walked into the hospital wing, holding her right hand to her chest. How could she have been so naive? She should have just fixed the vase with magic. You see, Kylie had gotten mad at a first year and was enraged enough to through a school vase at him in the commonroom. She was panicing, afraid that a professor would see and she would be punished, so she picked up the pieces of broken glass by hand and sliced her hand open when her friend tapped her on her shoulder.
"Madam Pomfrey?" She called out, frowing slightly. She hated asking for help, if she knew how to heal she would have done it herself. Hearing a voice, she followed it only to find Shelby Crescent, the Astronomy Teacher. She laughed slightly to herself and sat on a bed, "I never thought that Pomfrey would need the help from the astronomy teacher," She said, playing with the ends of her hair with her good hand. "I wouldn't do it if my life depended on it."

Shell sighs letting out a groan as she turned around, her right hand holding a pair of scissors and her left holding a roll of gauze. "I came in here for a bandage and she wasn't here. I'm not being nurse for you as well Monique, even if it's my second job at home." she says with a sigh again cutting the wrap and finishing the treatment for the young boy. "Alright now go off to lunch." Shell nods cleaning up the tray and frowns at her hand. "What did you do anyway?"

Kylie fake frowned and acted like a tear was rolling down her cheek by using her index finger, moving it down her cheek. "Aw, Professor! You'll help a hufflepuff but not a fellow ravenclaw?" She asked, looking at her with a puppy dog look. "Just give me the gauze and scissors, I'll do it myself."
She looked down at her bleeding hand and frowned, "I busted a vase and was stupid enough to try and pick it up on my own.. I'm never doing that again," She said, not telling the whole story. She jumped down from the bed and laid out her good hand, waiting on the gauze and scissors.

Shell raises an eyebrow watching the nosy hufflepuff boy glance at her as he opens the heavy door with his good hand. "I don't judge people by their houses Monique..." she says until he leaves and shuts the door, resulting her to smile. "You know as a teacher I can't do that, but." Shell grins opening the side of her teaching robes showing the ravenclaw patch sewn into the fabric.
"No, you'll just injure yourself more. Gimme your hand." she nods extending her free hand out waiting for Kylie to place her injured hand into hers. "A vase huh? How did you break it exactly my dear?" she asks raising an eyebrow but with a smile sitting on the bed next to her.

Kylie looked over at the door and said, "Didn't she say to go to lunch?" She said with a frown. She looked over at Shelby with a raise of her brows, "Neither do I..I just favor my house better," She mumbled the last part with a grin. Seeing the racenclaw patch sewn inside the robe. She winked and let a small laugh escape her.
She narrowed her eyes and shook her head stubbornly. "I will not injure myself more. I can do it myself." She refused to give her injured hand to Shelby but kept her good hand out for the things she needed, the gauze and scissors. "I threw a vase at a first year..he made me mad," She said with a shrug.

Shell winks back just shaking her head. "I try not to favor, but it's hard. Most everyone I talk to were in ravenclaw along with our children. And it's harder with the quidditch players on the team." she grins knowing that most ravenclaws knew of her past job as a professional quidditch player and being on the house team as a keeper years ago.
"No, no, no. I swear stubborness should be added to the ravenclaw stereotype. Give me your hand or I will take you to see Professor Flitwick." she nods, hating using the head of the house against the ravenclaw students. Shell asks Dumbledore if she could apply for the job but he knew of her favoritism and wouldn't let her. "Now let me see it. So, I'm guessing it was in the commonroom huh? I'll go fix it later. It should be interesting to try a riddle again." she laughs a little.

"I don't like many other people in other houses..they annoy me," Kylie said with a said of her head. She knew that her son, Isaiah was in Ravenclaw and on the team, "Isn't your son on the team? You must be very proud." She knew alot of people in her house with how outgoing she was, but there were some she didn't talk to that much.
"It really should," She said with a nod. Her eyes widened when she said she was get Flitwick, "You wouldn't dare," She said in a low, surprised tone. People knew how she hated getting into trouble, especially the teachers. She only had a detention twice and that was for mouthing off without thinking. "Yes. He insulted my knowledge.."

"You have to learn how to deal with them. Unity of the houses is key, no matter how annoying they seem." she says with a smile crossing her arms over chest with a smile. "Yes he is. Keeper as well and I'm very proud, sorta get glares from the teachers when I start cheering a bit too much for ravenclaw." she grins sheepishly.
"I would. Now give me your hand unless you want detention from Flitwick, and we all know those aren't entertaining much. Had my fair share." she sighs tapping her foot. "The first year or the riddler?" she asks slightly confused. "If a ravenclaw ever insults another knowledge, their own is questionable."

"Unity of houses is the key," Kylie repeated dryly, "I've heard that too many times. Aren't we all placed in a different house for a reason? If not, we wouldn't have these houses and they wouldn't base us off our characteristics." It was good reasoning, why would they place people in different houses? To seperate their personalitys.
She glowered at the professor for a moment. Would she rather give up her pride or face a detention? She would rather face detention. "No way, I'd rather have a detention. Hand the gauze and scissors over professor," She said, no emotion in her voice. She laughed a little and shook her head, "The first year. He was basing it off of sexuality. I hate sexists. And he's only, what? Eleven?"

"Yes, that's true we're separated based on houses and base characteristic traits. But that gives us to see how we're different and then over the time of seven years you realize that you actually have all the characteristic deep inside. When you put all four together you have your whole self." she nods, knowing that she was probably confusing her at this point, like she normally did to most people.
Shell raises an eyebrow and sighs, placing the gauze and scissors in her hands and walking off to a bed, simply laying down and frowning slightly. "Detention with me tonight around seven. Don't bother with dinner. You'll be helping me clean up my classroom." she says with a sigh as she closed her eyes. Why were students so stubborn? Shell knew how to fix wounds and everything else and here she was being stubborn.

"Can't we just go to school normally, without all the things they're trying to teach us about ourselves?" Kylie mumbled, her brows furrowed together. This was her last year at this school and she hadn't learned any of what she just said. All she had learned is what they taught in the classroom. That's what she was thinking at that moment. "It'd be so much easier on us to do that, instead of us worrying about that rivalry."
She looked up at Shelby with a raise of her eyebrows, "Are you just trying to torture me professor? You can't be serious about the whole skipping dinner. I'm skipping lunch as it is! I'm not starving myself just to help you clean your classroom, just use magic," She said. She spent enough of cleaning houses herself the muggle way during the summer to try and help her father out, she didn't want to do that at school. The reason she loved being a witch is that it was easier to live.

Shell just sighs shaking her head. "I'm disappointed in you Kylie. That's one of the points of school to learn more about yourself and then about your fellow classmates. Sure they're different from you but everyone is unique. We all have to learn how to communicate and interact with all kinds of people in our lives. The house rivalry teaches you that as well." she nods raising an eyebrow at her again.
"Don't worry about dinner. I was going to make you dinner at my house before we started to clean. Besides, my kids are helping and no magic." she adds sternly, knowing how kids were these days. Magic was such an easy thing it seemed, waving your wand and there you go. No one understand the joys of doing things the muggle way.

Finally starting on wrapping her hand, she let out a bitter laugh, "You're not the first, Professor. And you won't be the last." Ever since her mom went missing, she had been this way. The times she did see her father, the only thing he would do was shake his head. No one knew of her life at home. No one ever will, in her book. "I communicate fine, Professor."
She looked up at Shelby with a look of confusion in her eyes, "Dinner..at your house?" She asked after a moment. She never ate a homecooked meal since her mom had last cooked. That was quite a long time. She didn't expect the dinner. She didn't want to clean without magic, but she didn't really have a choice, did she? Sure, she had the house elves here but it wasn't exactly the same.

Shell glares at her slightly, just shaking her head and letting out a deep sigh. "Fine by me. Truth lesson for you. There's going to be a lot more people after me that will be disappointed, and obviously not from your previous statement that you don't like the other houses. And yes, my house. Is that fine with you Kylie? No pressure, but it would be quicker for the packing if you want ten more sets of hands to help you."

Kylie returned her slight glare for a full one of her own. She already knew all of this. Finally done with he hand, she placed the gauze and scissors beside her and sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I've had enough lectures for one day. I'll meet you where to do detention?" She asked quietly. Shelby was reminding her of her own mother from what she remembered and she didn't like it, not one bit.
Looking up at Shelby with a blank face for a moment before walking towards the door. Stopping, she turned around, "Just for your information, Professor, I don't hae a problem with the other houses. Only a select few..well not exactly a few..people in the houses."

"Astronomy tower of course. I guess you're going to put everything away yourself then. Six o'clock, during dinner until about nine should do it. Second chance, dinner and extra help, or none with no help." she shrugs lightly standing up and leaning against the wall. Shell usually got along with all the ravens in the house, but Kylie... she wasn't your typical ravenclaw. If anything by the way she was talking and treating her she reminded Shelby of a typical stereotype of a slytherin.
Shell just shakes her head, "Sure whatever you say dear." she says crossing her arms over her chest lightly before walking past her still with a cold stone look casted on her face and walks out into the hallway, turning to the left and disappearing down the staircases to leave to the entrance hall.

Kylie let the professor pass her before turning her head to the side. She had never acted that way to anyone before, especially not a professor. Now, Shelby probably thought lowly of her just like others. She didn't even act like herself, she acted like her father does now. Maybe she was turning more into her father than she thought, now she just hoped she didn't fall into a major depression like him.
"Yeah, whatever you say," She whispered before leaving the Wing to go to her dorm and change out of her robes. She wasn't going to her afternoon classes. Her mood was slowly falling.
