Angel walked into the ice cream parlour. She was alone, just like normal. After walking up to the counter and ordering her usual, just a normal vanilla, she went and sat over at her usual window seat. She got out the book she was reading at the moment, opened it up to the page she was on and started reading her book, getting lost with the words written down. Her eyes tore away from the book when the ice cream was placed on her table. She smiled to the waitress in thanks, and started eating her ice cream, her eyes returning to the book once more. If only life could be like this... A fairy tale... Angel thought, sighing.
She placed the book down after she had finished her ice cream, went up to the counter again and ordered another ice cream, this time a strawberry one. She walked back over to her seat and sat down, this time waiting for her ice cream to be delivered before she started reading. She sat there bored, with nothing to do and no one to talk to.

She couldn't believe it. He was gone, and to think how all of this could been avoided. If only she hadn't told Shelby what had happened, if only she kept that to herself...if only she didn't care. She wiped the few tears that had started to fall. Not has she lost Jay, but she completely destroyed her friendship with Shelby. She sighed and glanced up to where she was headed, not wanting to be miserable like she had been when this all happened. She decided to stop by and get a little pick me up.
She walked into the ice cream parlour and looked around noticing lots of people trying to escape the summer heat. She walked up to the counter and ordered her favorite frozen treat. A strawberry sundae. She payed for it and looked for an empty table to relax. She noticed someone that seemed familiar to her, but it had been so long, she wasn't sure who it could be. Making her way to the girl's table and smiled. As the girl's pale face and lovely eyes had started to seem more familiar."Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to be Angel...Simons?"She asked pausing a bit.

Angel looked at the girl, smiling a little. "You paused on my last name. That must mean I knew you from Hogwarts, when I went through my whole marriage situation," she worked out, smiling at the girl who seemed familiar to her. Suddenly, it all clicked into place. "Sandy! It's been far too long!" Angel said, practically yelling. "Do sit down, please. We must catch up! How have you been lately?" She asked, smiling widely at the girl she had not seen in so long.
She could remember everything that they had been through, and how generous and kind Sandy had been, even after Angel had backstabbed her, even though she didn't know about her and Jason. She just wanted to forget the past, though. Act like the bad things never happened. She had spent ten years getting over it, and she was sure she could forget. She only hoped that Sandy held no grudges against her.

She sworn she would of dropped everything and just through herself hugging her long time friend. But it would be weird for her to even do that in such a crowded place and besides that fact that Angel was sitting, could lead to so problems of even getting the chance to hug her. She nodded when she mentioned the pause of her last name. Right about when she was about to reintroduce herself when it apparently clicked and she practically shouted her nickname. Which was unique to her.
"It's about time you remembered."She smiled as she placed her ice cream on the table and sat down across from her."And yes it has been to long...more then ten years...I suppose. There just so much that has happened, I've been good. But what about you, its like you disappeared. I thought I would never see you again, but how have you been?"She asked smiling.

Sighing, Angel decided to explain where she went and why and such. "Well after things with Jason didn't work out, as I was under eighteen I had to move back into the orphanage, but they didn't have enough room for me, so they sent me to a French magic boarding school, and that's where I was. I finished my schooling and have only just been brave enough to come back and see people. I must say, I'm quite surprised so many of you decided to stay in England. I didn't expect to see anyone I knew here, but I'm seeing all of my best friends. I love it!" Angel said, smiling warmly at Sandy.
"I've been alright, I suppose. It has been over ten years. How are things with you? Are you married? It would surprise me if you weren't! Look at you. All grown up and gorgeous now. Honestly, I've missed you growing up," Angel said, sobbing fakely, tears rolling down her cheeks, also fake. "And how's the children?"

She smiles at her and eats a spoonful of her ice cream as she listened to what she had to say and why she was gone for so long. It was to bad that she had to stay in an orphanage, being raised in one herself she knew how crowded it could get."Oh, well at least your back now, you've been missed so much. We thought you've disappeared or something."She nods her head."Well, there's no place like London. Who have you seen so far?"She asked with a smile on her face.
"Well its good to hear that you've been doing well."She nods slightly before she starts staring at her blankly at how many questions, she had started asking."Umm....no I'm not married happily single."She smiled trying not to remember what Shelby had said to her. "Oh come on me gorgeous, have you seen yourself in a mirror?"She says back to her. "Well you didn't miss much, I just got a bit taller."She says almost in a whisper as she starts to cry. She looks at her a bit surprised not sure whether to laugh or ask if she's okay. "Well my daughter Melissa, she all grown up. A Ravenclaw 5th year, she would of hated to be in the same house as her father..."She muttered quietly. "And, I also have a five year old son."She nods. "Um, I've found my real parents and I have three younger siblings...."She tells her not wanting to mention her added wealthy.

Angel tried to remember everyone that she'd seen so far. "Ian, Synderella, you, Riley. I think that's it... Oh yeah, and Kyra. That's it so far. Who else is there around here?" She asked, smiling at remembering all of the friendly faces she hadn't seen in so long. She felt more at home than she ever had in France. "It's nice to see so many faces again. I didn't really have any real friends in France, and before you ask, I've had no relationships at all in ten years!" Angel found it hard to believe that it really had been that long. It certainly didn't feel like it. And, considering her past with men, she certainly didn't expect it of herself.
Angel smiled when Sandy mentioned Melissa. It had been a while since she'd heard about her, and Angel certainly wanted to see her again. "Her father wasn't the nicest of people, huh?" Angel said, a look of hatred coming over her face. "Oh! What are your parents like? And your siblings... Are they awesome too?" She asked, desperately wanting to catch up with her friend.

She smiled and ate a bit more of her ice cream as she continued listening to Angel. Listing off the people she had met so far."Ah, well that's good to know, I know they must of been glad to finally see you again. Hmm...Shelby and Briar should be around here somewhere."She nods naming off the first people that came to mind."How come? Your a very friendly and sociable girl. Were the girls in France snobby and stuck up?"She smiled slightly as Angel told her that she had no relationships for that long period of time. Sure she met guys but no one she really wanted to marry.
She smiled slightly."Well, I don't know he had his good moments....I guess."She shrugged slightly not really the kind of person to hold grudges. That's why she didn't feel any anger or hatred towards Angel. She just wanted them to be happy, but it seemed that just wasn't going to be the case."I'm sure Melissa would love to meet you...well again, you should come by the house. Don't worry about what time, your always welcome."She smiled as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a muggle pen. She wrote her address on a clean napkin and handed it to her."My parent, well what can I say...I practically interrogated them, but there nice same as with my siblings.

Angel smiled, glad to hear that Sandy was happy. "I suppose he did have his nice moments, huh? I would love to meet Melissa. And I've spoken to Shelby now. Good times, good times," she said, laughing at the memory. People in England were so different than people in France. "Actually, yes. The people in France were all stuck up and snobby. They bullied me for being English, and not talking properly. I soon showed them though... I stayed up all night one night just learning French and perfecting the accent, and when I went into school the next day... No one bullied me... I proved them wrong," she giggled, smiling at the memory.

She laughed lightly and nodded."Really? That be great like I said just stop by at our house any time, your always welcome."She smiled glad that she had survived her stay in France."Hmm, I'm sure pulling pranks on them would of been more fun then staying up so late and learning the proper french."She laughed. "But at least you showed them your not afraid of their to prove them wrong."She smiled.

Angel smiled in thanks at Sandy. "Thank you for everything. You were always so kind to me when I really didn't deserve it... I'm sorry for everything I caused you during your years at Hogwarts. You could have been happily married right now if it weren't for me. I'm sorry..." She said, the most apologetic tone she had ever used was evident on her voice. "If there's anything I can do to make it up to you, anything, just tell me, yeah?" She asked, hoping there was something. Even though she didn't thinks she should, Angel still felt bad about what happened in her time at Hogwarts between her and Sandy, and Sandy had never hated her for it... Angel really appreciated that. [/blockquote]

She shook her head, she couldn't believe what Angel was saying. Sure her times at Hogwarts were not the greatest, but who's really were?"Angel, your wrong...you deserve the best...I loved him probably just as much as you did, but I wanted you two to be happy for a reason."She smiled sincerely. "Even though...he practically dumped us both."She rolled her eyes softly. "And they say were are hard to understand. Yeah, I could of been, but I'm even happier now."She smiled. "And you don't have to be sorry, everything's fair in love and war. So there nothing you can do to make it up to me."She nodded.

That was why Angel loved Sandy. Sandy had always been so generous to Angel, saying that she deserved the happiness, when, in fact, Angel believed it was Sandy who truly deserved it. "Of all of the guys it could have happened over, it happened over the wrong one. Still, I suppose it helped us grow up and realise that young relationships never really work out, huh?" She asked, glad that Sandy had no hard feelings over it.
Even though Sandy had said that she didn't want anything to make it up to her, Angel still felt the need to. She knew there had to be something she could do to make it all better. She just didn't know what yet... But she knew she would soon. There had to be something, and Angel always was good with finding that special something for someone. At least, she thought she was. She laughed and nodded."Yeah out of all the guys, but hey at least we have good taste."She winked and laughed lightly finally finishing off the last of her ice cream."Angel...didn't you get some ice cream?"She randomly asked felling kind of awkward just eating her ice cream without offering some to Angel. "But yeah, it helped us mature alot. Well some young relationships don't work...we were just the lucky ones."She grinned.

Angel nodded with the ice cream comment, but her ice cream still hadn't come. "I'll go ask for some more in a little while." Thinking about it, Angel was actually quite glad that things hadn't worked out for them. She would have hated to have been stuck with that... thing... for the rest of her life. The divorce was never finalised... You never signed the papers, Angel. In all truth, you're still married... But, yet again, Angel chose to ignore this voice. In her opinion, she was not married. She hadn't seen him for over ten years and she certainly didn't love him anymore. She was not married. Not at all.
Sighing to herself, Angel stood up and made her way over to the counter. "Strawberry ice cream, please," she ordered, smiling a little at the waitress. She then grabbed her ice cream, paid and went and sat back down with Sandy. "Are you looking for a relationship nowadays then?" She asked, a little curious, but mostly just trying to make conversation. [/blockquote]

Sometimes she couldn't help but wonder, how her life would of turned out if She ever married Jason. She reached up to touch her neck. The necklace that she had always worn was not their anymore. She remembered that day he had come to her common room and almost forcefully given her the ring. The ring that didn't matter anymore since they decided to cancel the wedding. She gave the ring that was placed on a gold chain, to Melissa. She smiled at Angel and nodded."Yeah, okay."
She stayed quiet not sure how to respond to her question. God,Shelby was right about her...she just a whore. It was worse enough she had slept with Jay, but she couldn't help it. They both knew it was bound to happen especially after they had finally met at their wedding...they sort of clicked. She was terribly ashamed at how she practically destroyed Jay's and Shelby's marriage. She shook her head as to foget about those thoughts and forced herself to laugh."Well...I don't know...I guess but after him...it's kind of hard you know?"She replies. "But, I guess you can say I'm looking...but not really."She says with a smile.

Angel nodded her head. "I'm not looking, but if someone comes along then great, I won't turn it down. However, I know I'm just going to end up disappointed if I go looking for a good relationship and find love and whatever. Things just don't work out like that. The best relationships are the surprise ones, you see," she said knowingly, smiling just a little bit. In her past relationships, the surprise ones had been the ones she had least regretted and had most enjoyed. Normally that was the rule, anyway. Sometimes there were exceptions, such as Jason. He was unplanned and wasn't looked for, and he had messed her about to the point where she almost wanted to give up relationships completely.
Angel sighed, picking up her spoon and eating some of the ice cream from the bowl. [/blockquote]

She ate another spoonful of her already melting ice cream and nodded slightly, as she listened to Angel's response. Maybe the whole thing with him, totally messed us up? She thought as she continued to each another spoonful of her ice cream. The truth was, that she didn't really care about the whole relationship thing. Just like Angel had said if something great come along, she not going to ignore it."Yeah, that makes sense."She nods.

"You're probably one of the only people who actually agree with me on that... Hardly anyone else does," she laughed. It was a shame that nowadays people seemed to go looking for good relationships. It was as if they couldn't be happy without them, but Angel knew you could be more than happy without anyone by your side. She knew that having someone was amazing and that you could be happier than anyone else in the world, but the amount of bad relationships out there weren't worth looking for. Besides, you're more free when you're single, and Angel loved being free and ready to come and go as she pleased. [/blockquote]

She smiled slightly as she ate another spoonful of her already melting ice cream. She nodded showing her that it was true that it seemed like most people wouldn't agree with her saying, well but then again it all depended on the person."Aw. You know what they say, great minds think alike."She giggled slightly. Cassandra was happy just being able to live her life with her children and her family. Sure it sort of made her feel bad that her kids would be growing up without a father figure in their lives, but that was something she couldn't help.
