Muggle studies wasn't something that Brian was very fond of. His mother, from an early age, had always incorporated muggle items into their home and always taught him what certain things were when they happend to go shopping. He was tired of hearing the same things now from his professor. Of course muggle items weren't the only thing you learned about in that class, but 99.9% of the time that's what you got.
He had decided to skip today, skipping usually wasn't one of his regular habits but he really found no use in going to the class. He considered staying in the dorms, but if anything went missing then he didn't want to be held responsible for it. So he found his way around the school a few times, avoiding teachers such as Snape who would probably end up docking points if he was found. After a few bouts about the castle he found his way to the library, he could easily tell anyone that he had gotten permission form a teacher or what not.
He krept by the library lady, he had never bothered to catch her name. And silently walked by the forbidden section to a little secluded spot in the back where it was usually fairly quiet. The silence was very inviting, there was usually a rustle of papers to be heard from every direction and the occasional smacking when someone had found a dark corner to take advantage of the alone time. He sat down and looked around there was definately no other soul in that place besides maybe the ghosts.
Brian laid his head down on one of the tables using his arm as a pillow. Sleep would be something he would actually catch up on today, he had a fairly good hour to rest. Most classes wouldn't be over for a while and the ones that got let loose would probably go down to the pitch to watch various flyers. He closed his eyes and began to drift off into a dreamless sleep when he was suddenly disturbed by a loud crashing noise. He sat up and gripped onto his wand that was stashed away in his robes. "Who's there?"he asked, surveying the area.

It was a normal day in Hailey's point of view and she found nothing to do. Hailey usually always had something to do, but today was different. Hailey the bleach-blonde witch decided to skip a day and not to to Muggle studies. Hailey thought of where to go and sighed Oh wow the library hmm okay then Hailey thought to herself.
Hailey sighed and shook her head Library it is she thought to herself once more. Hailey wasnt usually one to pay a visit to the library. Hailey's heels tapped against the tiled floor of the Hogwarts Castle. She finally made her way into the library and nodded towards the librarian. Hailey was bad at names and of course didnt remember a librarians name.
Hailey made her way towards the resticted section quietly and slowly. As she met door Hailey bumped into something on her way in. She let out a soft sigh of fright and giggled softly after she heard someone else. She grew alert and looked around, she peaked her head and saw a familiar hairstyle. She thought and smirked to herself.. "Well it depends if Brian Gates is asking" Hailey answered smiling and walked towards him.

Brian let out a sigh of relief and let loose his wand. "Oh, hey Hailey." He said giving her a warm smile and running his hand through his hair. He realized what he had done and tried desperately to get his now flat part of his hair to the more normal upright position.
Brian gave her a quick up and down, she was one of the only girls he knew that would wear heels at school with her uniform. He couldn't deny it though, she did look better than the other girls he knew. Some people did and some people didn't know that Brian had a crush on her.
Crush barely coverd it though, he had a huge crush on her. He had since they were maybe two. She had always been one of his best friends and he couldn't help but feel a little guilty about his feelings for her. The chances of her liking him like that were slim to none. He gave a huge smile,"So...are you cutting class young lady?" he asked her trying his best to sound like Snape or some other uptight teacher.

Hailey smiled at Brian and blushed lightly. Hailey knew Brian and his different hairstyles, she only knew of one person who would spike his hair up straight like his. Hailey then pulled her fingers through her bleach blonde hair and walked towards Brian.
A couple of people knew what big of a crush Hailey had on Brian, but Hailey didnt feel that he liked her back. Hailey had a crush on Brian since they were in dipers, and he had been her best friend for a long time.
Smiling Hailey stood infront of Brian and gave him a friendly hug "Yeah you know Muggle studies isnt my best subject" She giggled lightly. "And what about you Mr. Gates why are you cutting class" She asked and smiled as she pulled away and looked down, and glanced at him as if she were checking him out.

Brian chuckled and hugged her back, liking more than he should. They were just friends after all...even though he knew he wanted it to be more. "It's one of my best classes...that's why I felt the need to skip it."he grinned,"You know, if you want I could help you study sometime." Which he really would, but then again it also gave him some extra time with her.
He sat back down and offered her the chair across from him. Trying not to focus too much on her, he didn't want it to seem like he was being perverted or something. She really did look good today, not that she didn't look good all the time. She had a style all her own here at Hogwarts and that's something that really stood out to him. But one thing he was definately worried about though was her brother.Him and Brian had been friends since Brian was born as well. He didn't want to wreck a friendship with him. Plus even if the friendship wasn't there then Brian would have problems with him trying to kill him, especially if he ever hurt Hailey.

Hailey smiled as Brian hugged back. Oh how Hailey wanted to keep her arms around him and call him hers. Hailey nodded giggling softly "Hmm your best class? Id love to study with you Brian, maybe we should study soon" She said happily and thought at the fact that them studying together would give them more time to be together.
Hailey smiled as he offered her a chair across from him, she nodded and sat there not noticing at how much she stared at him. Hailey smiled at him, she was glad they were alone there. Hailey had always liked Brian's style, it was different and thats what she liked about him. "So what brings you to the restricted section" She asked with another smile

Brian nodded,"Sounds like a date to me," he gave her a small blush after realizing what he had said,"Erm, I mean plan, a plan!" He said giving a nervous chuckle to go along with it. At this point his insides were yelling at him. one half saying he was an idiot for ever saying some thing so stupid, the other half mulling over what he had said after wards think he was an idiot for changing his first statement. Young love could definately be complicated, he wondered if this is how his parents were when they were younger...he'd never really asked or anything of the sort.
He shrugged,"I guess it was quiet and I probably wouldn't be found." He grinned at her,"But I guess you proved me wrong on the second one." He was glad she had come though, it's not like he had planned meeting her here or anything. Just her company was nice, at least here he didn't have the gleeming eyes of either of their parents as they talked and he attempted flirting. He also didn't have to worry about either of their siblings jumping in either.
Although both of his sisters were rooting for them. Destiny being too young to really understand though exactly what was going on and Tonks being the big sister had to have her nose into everything. Then you had Hailey's siblings, he had no idea how they felt about them. They probably hadn't even noticed that Brian had a thing for their sister yet. He usually tried to keep it on the low down, but it was hard being in such a big school with so much family.

Hailey smiled Sounds like a date to me she ran it over and over in her mind. Hailey of course would love to have gone on a date with Brian. Hailey saw Brian blush, and made her blush just by looking at him. She giggled lightly and blushed some more. Syndelle, Hailey's mom knew that she had a liking for Brian. Her mom would definatly aprove of him, since her mom and his mom were friends back in Hogwarts.
Hailey smiled and tucked a piece of her bleach blonde hair behind her ear. "Quiet it is, but yep I found the great Brianoop" Hailey giggled lightly so that they wouldnt be heard. Hailey was glad that she found Brian, they both were alone and it was quiet. Hailey wouldve flirted much with Brian only if she wasnt so nervious. The only thing that would worry her about them is Justin. Justin was always over protective about Hailey.
Hailey thought about her younger siblings, Peter wouldnt care much since he still thought girls had cooties, and Alicia wouldnt mind either as long as she got her baby bottle. Hailey rested her head in her hand and looked at Brian with a wide smile. She sighed softly and blushed just by looking at him "Brian, what if we did go out" She blushed more, her heart racing, with nerviousness, and worry.

Brian couldn't help but smile at her, he thought about turning away so that way she wouldn't be able to see his face. It wasn't like him to do that though, he was a girly man through and through and wouldn't want to hurt her feelings. But her question did catch him off guard. He had thought about it before and would love to go out with her, but at the moment he didn't know if she was just saying it to pass the time or if she was generally curious.
Brian blushed, but he decided to answer truthfully. An opporitunity like this probably wouldn't present itself again. "To be honest, if we did go out it would be pretty awesome. I think we would have a great time." He smiled at her and looked down at his hands, waiting to hear what she had to say.

Hailey smiled as Brian smiled at her. Being around Brian always put a smile on her face, Hailey had known for a while that she would love to go out with him, he was her perfect. She loved how he dressed she really liked him. Hailey stayed quiet just looking at him, she then thought that if she stared to much that he would probably think that he had something on his face. Hailey turned and looked at the ground before taking a few steps closer to him.
Hailey looked up at him and smiled, taking in his words, "Yeah that would be,Id love to go out with you, ive dreamed of it" Hailey said softly as she blushed. She knew her cheeks were flushed into a pale red color. Brian had that effect on her/

Brian noticed that she kept looking at him, maybe there was something on his face, or worse, his hair was out of place? Hopefully not a pimple or something of that nature, but if he touched his face then she'd know that he caught her looking at him. Maybe he'd brush some of his hair out of his face and briefly touch his face so she wouldn't suspect too much.
Brian couldn't help but blush at her comment, was she being serious? She liked him too? She was standing really close too...it was now or never, if he hesitated too long what if she took it as rejection? But what if he advanced a little too soon, he didn't want to seem that eager like he was ready to pounce on her. He shook his head to rid his mind of those thoughts, a chance was now presenting itself and he had to take it.
He smiled at her and pushed some of her hair from her face, cupping her cheek in the process. He hesitated only a bit, afraid of her reaction, before finally leaning his face forward and placing a light kiss on her lips.

Hailey smiled a little when she saw the blush on Brian's cheeks again. It was kind of cute in a way, the fact that she caused him to blush, and just how easy that had been. That and it was because she had basically told him her feelings for him, and it made him blush. On the inside she was grinning, but she kept the smile controlled on the outside.
She started to notice how close she really was standing, and the pause between everything that was so far happening. Maybe she'd been too bold? Or maybe he did like her, just not like she really though. Did he mean going out would be awesome and fun because they were such great friends? Hailey watched him, waiting for him to do or say something, watching as he shook his head.
Seeing his smile, she smiled a little more, feeling his hand move some hair from her face, though her eyes were currently locked on his. The same hand he'd used to push some hair away was now cupping her cheek. Really it seemed like time was going slowly and she could see the slight heisitation in his actions now before feeling his lips against hers. It was everything she'd thought about, sweet and simple, and she kissed him back.

Brian smiled against her lips, she was responding. Maybe she did feel the same way that he did. The fact that she didn't pull away gave him the insintive to continue.
He placed his other arm around her, pulling her closer so that their bodies were now touching, he didn't keep a firm enough grasp to keep her there, she could pull away if she wanted to.
The hand that was cupping her cheek was now snaking its way behind her head, ever so gently wrapping his fingers in her hair. He pulled away for a bit, just to make sure that she wasn't too startled. He had liked his girl for a really long time, hell since they were born, and he didn't want to go and skrew things up.
He looked expectantly towards her, waiting for her response.

Hailey liked the way he was responding to the kiss. She didn't want to pull away nor did she want it to end. Hailey smiled against Brian's lips as his hand moved and started putting his fingers in her hair. As he did that Hailey began to work her hand down to his chest then around his neck and began to kiss more deeper while licking his lips gently, not wanting him to feel weirded out, but yet she was confident.
Hailey was now getting into the kiss and with the way Brian responded he was too. She took a step closer to him pressing her chest against his, she really liked him, and she hoped that he felt the same way. Not wanting to she pulled away gently and smiled lovingly at him. "Brian?" She started out nerviously "Ive liked you alot for a long time, I mean a really long time" Hailey finished as she kept her arms around his neck.

Brian froze, this is what he had wanted to hear. She liked him too, and for a long time at that. He liked her too, if more if it was possible. He didn't know her level of liking him yet and was a little scared to admit everything he felt for her. He was kind of pissed at himself at the same time for the fact that he could have taken this chance sooner and they would have already been together, but there was nothing he could do about that now.
He smiled at her, not one of those I know smiles, but a true smile of joy and finally able to get something that he wanted. "Hailey, I like you too. I've liked you for a long time as well." his smile didn't faulter, he knew that she was sincere. He pulled her in for a hug, he just wanted to feel her warmth against him.

Hailey's heart raced,her cheeks blushed, her lips were pulled in for a smile. She was happy, in fact it was the happiest she had ever been in her life. She looked lovingly into Brian's eyes and hugged him back loving the way his body touched hers. To her Brian's hugs were the best, even better than a hug from mom.
Hailey giggled and smile and pecked at Brian's lips gently but deeply. "Im glad" she whispered lightly in his ear and kissed him gently.
