After walking out of the Slytherin common room, Justin Emerson made his way into the enterance hall. As a fifth year at Hogwarts, the castle didnt suprise Justin like it used to in his first year. Justin let out a soft hollow sigh and continued to walk around the some what empty hall.
He made his way to a chair and sat slowly in it. Justin slouched and crossed his arms over his chest and observed the people who were in the hall. Justin began to think about how he wouldnt be this bored if Dustin was with him. He missed his twin, and misses all the fun they used to have.
While sitting in the chair Justin's eyelids began to get heavy and started to over lap his eyes, Justin began to fight his sleep and got up quickly off his chair. He began to make little noises to entertain himself, Justin made some pretty weird noises and laughed to himself. When Justin looked up he saw someone staring. "Hey do you have a problem with me making noises?" He asked with an attitude. |

Melissa wandered above the moving stairs. It was her free hour and that meant she had to find something to do especially so she wouldn't go and cause people problems. She sighed lightly and shook her head."People around here can be so mean and they take things to serious."She said aloud mainly to herself. Nearing the first floor she quick sat on the banister sliding until her reached the floor in the school's entrance. She jumped down and almost ran into some guy that had been making noises to apparently keep him awake.
She raised a slender eye brow and laughed. Some of the nosies that he was making were beyond weird and funny too."No, I don't have a problem with you making noises...I just thought it was funny."She smiled.

Justin had seen a small blonde girl on the staircase before he had gotten up. He shrugged and saw the girl on the banister and shook his head. After Justin got up he saw the girl infront of him as they almost bumped into eachother. Justin then thought it would be fun if he can atempt to scare the girl in any way.
Like always Justin was a joker, and loved tricking people. He was much taller than the girl when he looked down. Justin gritted his teeth together as if he was mad, he squinted his brown eyes and looked down at her once more. After Justin heard the girl laugh he crossed his arms across his chest. "So you think this is funny eh?" Justin asked with the same amount of attitude as he did the last time. "There is no need to be laughing at a boy who has nothing to do." He said trying to keep a straight face.
Justin then gave up and made an even more weird silly sound, that caused him to laugh as well. "Sorry, Im just not good at keeping straight faces." Justin said chuckling. "Names Justin... Justin Emerson" He said proudly at the name of his deceased father. |

She had to look up at the boy, she couldn't help that she was way short and he of course being a boy had to be much taller then her. She shook her head absentmindedly and thought that almost everyone was taller then her. It was unusal for her not to be mistaken for a younger student especially considering her height. She had to practically yell at some Professor tell him that she was not a third year.
She raised a slender eye brow as she watched him start to grind his teeth. Was he really that mad?She asked her herself as she stood her ground, there was almost one in this school that could scare her at least up front. She nodded her head when he asked her a question."Yeah, other wise I wouldn't of laughed silly!"She grinned. "Oh, well it seemed like you were pretty preoccupied to me."She said as she started to laugh again.
She raised both her eyebrows when all of the sudden he mad e the weirdist noise of all. She just shook her head and laughed. She couldn't help it, this guy was just to funny."Nah, its alright I don't think I could of not laughed even if I wanted too."She extened her hand to him when he introduced himself."Nice to meet you Justin, I'm Melissa Ortiz or should I say Miller or Ritz?"She said mubling the last part about wht surname to use."Anyways I'm Melissa."She smiled.

Justin couldnt help but smile at how short and small the girl was. Justin thought about what year the girl was in and wouldve thought a third year. He smiled and chuckled lightly, Justin wasnt one to keep a serious face, until he really needed to. He nodded his brown head towards the blonde girl.
Justin had always been one of the tallest people at Hogwarts. Justin of course being a male was taller than the girl and practically his own family. Justin smiled at the girl and nodded
"Nice to meet you too Melissa" He said and grabbed her hand and shook it gently. Melissa's hands felt delicate, as if it was one of those porcalin doll hands.
Justin let her hand go and smiled "Oh I know how that feels hehe, My mums been married three times, but shes kept me under me fathers last name so I think my name is just Justin Emerson-Ryan" Justin said with a cunfused chuckle |

She smiled and nodded about him knowing how it was like, but then she shook her head."Well, its a different case with my mum..hmm...lets see my dad's last name was Miller but they never really married and then she found out her real parents go by Ritz. Its kind of complicated...its amazing I'm not confused..yet...Other wise it would be Melissa Ortiz Ritz Miller...and that's just to much to say."She laughed lightly after her let go of her hand.
"So Justin what house are you in?"She asked him since its wasn't a school day and most people didn't really wear there school robes, unless they we really weird or something. But that was just in Melissa's opinion. She in fact was wearing her favorites. Her dark jeans and a dark pink t-shirt with a skull and cross bones designed.

Justin listened to Melissa's story about having different last names and how her mother never really married the guy she thought was her father, and how her real father had another last name and how she thinks her name is Melissa Ortiz Ritz Miller. Wow Justin got confused easily especially by her long name.
Just let a confused smile creep on his lips hoping it didnt show as confusion. Justin smiled "Hmm My story goes, My mum married to a Justin Emerson, and gave birth to me and my late twin, ten my father passed, and my mum remarried to a Chris Philips and had my Little sis and my little brother, then they divorced and then she got married to Tyler Sams, and now she had my little sister and little brother. So if my mum did change my last name it would be "Justin Ryan-Emerson Philips Sams" Justin chuckled lightly.
He shook his head to forget the confusion and smiled "Belive it or not, Im a Slytherin, What about you" He asked and saw her crossed bone shirt and jeans

She couldn't help but laugh. He face didn't show any confusion, but then again who wouldn't be confused with her and her family's crazy weird history. She tucked a lock of herblond hair behind her ear and nodded as she began to listen to his family's history."Well aren't you lucky at least you met your father, I barely even seen mine after he married my mum's best friend."She stuck her tongue out playful.
"After that, he sort of dissapeared off the face of the planet."She shruggd her shoulders and continued listening to all last names he would have. It seemed like he had an actually family when she on the other hand only had a mother and now a little brother."Wow...that's a long name...you beat me by one last name."She nodded.
"I'm sorry about your father's passing...but how many brothers and sisters do you have now? In total...I lost count after....three."
Her eyes widen in some what of a surprise and she smirked slightly."Really? Well isn't that interesting....5th year Ravenclaw."She smiled.

Justin shook his head and grinned "Okay can I just call you Mel" He asked still a little confused. He shook his head again "I dont even remember my father, he died when i was a baby" He said "But your case sounds horrible" He added before sticking his tounge back out
Justin thought about her question, he had lost count after Hailey was born. "Lets see theres..Dustin,Hailey,Peter,Ali,the other baby, thats five" he answered her. He nodded "Im a sixth year Slytherin" He said with a smile

She shook her head in disbelief and laughed."Sure, I don't mind."She smiled. It wasn't everyday she just basically poured out her entire family history well....the part about her father. She knew most people were really sensitive about subjects like that, but to Mel it's as if you were talking about a pair of shoes. All the same. She nodded when he told her that he didn't really get to met his father either. She rolled her eyes softly and shook her head jokingly."Well thanks, that should make me feel so much better."She giggled.
"So there's six kids, counting you of course. Are you the oldest?"She asked him a bit curious. She couldn't help but gasp dramatically."No way! Are you for real....a Slytherin....I thought they were suppose to be really mean."She said teasingly and smiled.

Justin grinned "Then Mel it is" he said with a slight chuckle at the end. Justin smiled the girl was small and looked really young. Justin wasnt one to talk about is father. Justin was a bit sensitive towards the subject, only due to pictures, of him, seeing he was a splitting image of his father. "Yeah you should" he joked.
"Yep six kids, but technically only five." He said feeling a small lump in his throat. "You see my twin brother passed about three years ago" Justin said about Dustin. He gave a chuckle and nodded "Yeah im a Slytherin, but because of it I can be mean when i want to" Justin replied

She looked at him and frowned. Their she goes again talking about such sensitive things. She knew most people didn't care if you felt sorry for them, but it was just one of those things that you couldn't help but to feel, sorry and sadness."Oh, I'm sorry....I shouldn't of brought up the topic."She nods apologetically. She quickly tries to come up with something else to talk about when but before she could say something he responded back to her comment about Slytherins being mean.
"Well, then if your going to be mean...then I should be super smart. Which mean I have to change my hair color."She laughs as she points her wand to her hair and mutters that spell she learned to change the color of her hair from blond to dark brown."You like?"She asked jokingly as she ran her fingers through her now brown hair.

Justin shook his head out of it and looked down at he "you should be...I mean dont worry about it I went along woth it" He said with his Slytherin side kicking in buthis Gryffindor side takin over. "Sorry about that"Justin said
Justin chuckled as Mel changed her hair colour "hey it looks great"he said clapping his hands while chuckling

She looked at him, not sure whether to laugh or just frown. Most people wouldn't admit to someone that they should be sorry for something that, they brought up. Especially if they didn't know how much it would effect the other person. Melissa wasn't the kind of girl that could be easily pushed away. Melissa was a bit stubborn and tough, that's why she wasn't offended by what he had said. She simply shook her head and laughed.
"Don't worry about it, you can be as mean as you want....I promise I won't cry."She grinned flipping her hair."Really thanks."She smiled and ran her fingers through her brown hair once more.
