eye colour; grey
hair colour; blonde
height; 5’7”
other physical traits; Leanne is what could be described as 'natural', which when said in the tone that it generally is when used in connection with her is a nice way of saying 'not conventionally pretty'. She's one of those people who 'could be pretty, if...'
She's not unfortunate looking though. She has pale skin and a slightly square shaped face, long blonde hair and wide grey eyes with the face as a whole often either contorted into an expression best described as sultry.
Leanne is of average height and is fairly thin, but with all the curves and bumps of a pre-pubescent boy, so she's hardly driving anyone crazy with her figure.
She's also very critical of her own appearance and is always the first one to put herself down and cover herself up but is also not very inclined to try and groom herself either. Her hair is generally unbrushed and loose, static and knotty...while she wears very little make-up and puts in a very small amount of effort. Anything beyond basic hygiene is a step too far.
clothing style; Much like her general appearance, not much care or effort is expended with her clothing. Usually found in boy-ish clothes, Leanne seems to have a penchant for picking out jeans that hang off her hips and bag at the knees and just generally do not fit properly and over sized comfortable sweatshirts or button-downs.
She's not all dull though, as she does have a taste for pattern and bright colours. Stripes, plaid, spots...anything, as long as it's bright or unusual or just...not plain, she'll love it. She won't often wear it, but just like any clothes that have shape or substance to them they'll sit in the back of her closet untouched.

is that i'm sorry for the way i am.
good traits; When asked to describe her positive traits, getting a straight answer would be like getting blood from a stone. Leanne is quite modest but also rather blind to her own virtues. She would, however, after a little prompting assert that she's very accepting...and she likes that about herself. Acceptance is something she prides herself on and she lives a life mostly devoid of prejudice. She'll treat anyone from any walk of life exactly the same, unless she has personal reason on an individual basis not to. This hints at the big picture, because most of her good traits can be summed up in the standard block of words that accompany kind...sweet, loving, gentle. However, she is a Gryffindor for a reason. Thought she doesn't fit the bill on many of the typical lion traits, like bravery or confidence, Leanne is all heart and she's definitely no coward either. She knows who her friends are and she's loyal to and protective of them to the ends of the earth, but she can also be fierce when messed with herself. She's not exactly a doormat. Another thing that dominates a lot of her thought processes is the compulsive need to 'nest', as a friend once teased her. She's a very homey sort of person and is never happier than when she's with family, curled up on the couch and relaxed.
flaws; Perhaps her biggest flaw is how 'Insecure' is practically stamped in large flashing neon letters on her forehead. Neurotic and distrusting and cripplingly self-deprecating are bad enough traits on her own, but she's painfully obvious about it so it's not hard to manipulate her. Although she's not open to being walked all over, it's fairly easy to get under her skin or to change her mind and get her dancing to your tune. Which is perhaps why she tries so hard to hide her neurosis and paranoia, layering herself up with the overly bold Gryffindor bravado so she doesn't get found out...without realising how translucent the whole outgoing act is. Leanne is also, perhaps excessively, cautious. She's very wary of other people, of places, of certain situations and can be overbearingly so at times. However, this is often mellowed out by occasional moments of huge spontaneity. It's almost like a passive-aggressive temper; how she's cautious so much about so many things that it builds up and up until she makes a huge rash decision. Unfortunately, without a doubt her worst trait, is lying. She's not ridiculous with it, not compulsive...and her common downfall is telling not so little white lies so people don't get hurt, and then letting them get out of hand and having to tell more lies and more lies until everything gets out of control. Fortunately, this happens very rarely.
habits; If getting sick is a habit, Leanne has it down to a fine art. She has a weak immune system and spends much of her time ill.
Other than that, she has precious few habits; good or bad.

brief history; Born in her mother's family home, Leanne was a near surprise. Her mother had not put on any weight during the pregnancy and had been very sick and possibly infertile beforehand, so they only found out that Leanne was on the way a couple of months beforehand. Praised as a miracle during her whole infancy and childhood, she grew up doted on and self-assured and largely oblivious to the world around her.
Her eleventh year of life was a semi-eventful one. She found out she was a witch and started attending Hogwarts and also her little brother - the new miracle child - was born. She didn't like him at first, as he stole a sizable portion of the limelight she'd grown accustomed to and was away at school at the time so she didn't have the opportunity to bond herself, only glowing affectionate letters from her parents describing how wonderful he was. It was not until she came home for Christmas that she fell in love with him herself. Then it was hard for a completely different reason, simply because she didn't want to have to go back to school and leave him behind.
The next few years passed in a reasonably happy adolescent blur. She doted on her younger brother when she got the chance to see him during holidays and Christmas breaks and continued with her sheltered life. She was reasonably popular but comfortable at school, playing quidditch adeptly but never making the team and coasting through her studies. But when she was sixteen she met him. His name was Ben and he completely knocked her off her feet. She fell head over heels in love almost immediately, and for the last two years of her schooling they stuck together.
Things started go a little bit pearshaped when they graduated. They moved into together fairly early on. Leanne brought in most of the money by working hard at Flourish and Blott's, where's she worked since she graduated and still does. Ben pursued what he simply described as 'other interests'. He became very distant and Leanne became very unhappy, but as she'd been with him for so long as she was unwilling to leave, not knowing what'd happen if she was on her own in the outside world. It didn't help when Ben grew suspicious that she was going to leave him and fed her insecurities with claims that no one else would ever want her and she had no where else to go.
By the time she was nineteen, she was pregnant and desperately depressed. Thankfully, as soon as he found out that she was pregnant he left her, claiming that because of his background he could never marry or have a baby with a half-blood like her. Leanne managed better than she thought she would on her own, had her daughter, kept her job and did absolutely fine. She went through another brief spell of depression when she read her ex-boyfriend's obituary in the local paper along with claims that he was a death eater anyway. She doesn't know if this is true, although she thinks it'd certainly account for a lot of his behaviour and the changes she witnessed.
She's lived quietly and largely alone since then, working mercilessly hard to support herself and her daughter, whom she spends all her free time home-schooling.
