"Joseph what did momma say about playing with scissors?" His little green eyes look up at me as if I should know his answer already. Of course I knew what he had done otherwise I wouldn't have brought him to the doctors. Once again he was running around with scissors and cut his arm pretty deep. I was never one for healing wounds no matter how shallow and this was really deep for a two year old.
"Um... is there anyone free to just heal a small wound on a child?" I ask the front desk and seeing her shrug lightly. I take that as a no. "Thanks for the help miss." I sigh lightly before walking back to the chair Joseph was sitting at, his eyes still filling to the brim with petite tears threatening to spill over. "It's going to be okay sweetie, promise."

End of my shift. Thank goodness. It'd been a pretty long day and I was pretty tired. I sort of just wanted to get out of here and take a nap. A nap sounded so good right now... too bad that by the time I get home, I'm probably going to have other things to do first. Cook dinner, Clean up a bit, try to convince my daughters to clean their room.. So maybe instead, I'll just go relax somewhere for a bit. Yeah, that sounds better. I walked down the hallway and stopped at the reception desk, dropping off a few files before I left. I talked to her for a few moments, before saying bye and that I'd see her tomorrow. As I was walking away from the counter, I saw a little kid and his mum, or maybe his older sister? I wasn't really sure which, but I was wondering if they were waiting or what. So after pausing for a moment, I walked over to the two of them. "Hey, you guys okay over here?" I asked smiling lightly to the two of them.

I look over and see an older man... well not necessarily old, maybe in his twenties or thirties walking over to us. "Um. My son was playing with scissors as stupid as that sounds. He gained himself a nice cut on his arm." I say softly with a sigh as Joseph hesitantly pulls his arm from view. "Joe, he's going to help you, not hurt you." I add to my son.
He's exactly like me in every way, introverted and shy. "He really doesn't like going to the doctors or dentist unless he gets to go to Honeydukes afterwards." I say with a faint smile to the man. "I'm Tegan Rambal and you are sir?"

I nodded slightly, crouching down infront of the boy, looking up to his mum as she spoke. "Playing with scissors? Ouch.." I commented, wanting to look at the cut, but seeing him pull his arm away from me. I was used to a reaction like that from younger kids. No one usually liked going to the healers. I chuckled faintly at what his mum said next and nodded a bit. "Understandable.. not many kids do." I said with a faint smile back to her. "Nice to meet you." I said standing up again and holding out my hand to her. "I'm Riley Pearson.. healer here." I added. "How about you guys come back to my office and I'll see what I can do." I said with a faint smile. I had already locked up, but it wasn't a big deal. Plus, I think I had some type of sweets back there.

I sigh a little again before looking around the doctor's office. It was a typical place, long lines of chairs with impatient people sitting within them, awaiting their turn to be helped. The unhelpful receptionist who's only care is who was dating who in Witch Weekly while the ticking of the clock seemed to grow slower and slower. Although I didn't remember a nice healer walking out of the office still willing to help a patient even if it was his time to go.
"I still don't like going to the dentist or the doctors no offense to you Mr. Pearson." I say with a faint smile and a light laugh breaking the echoing sound of the secondhand from the clock or was that my imagination? Either way I nod at him when he says to go to the back to his office. "Thank you." I say before picking up Joseph and following him.

"I don't really blame you." I smiled. "I don't think I would like it much either... If I didn't work here." I added with a small laugh. "And believe me, none taken." "No problem." I said, waiting for them to get themselves gathered and then once they had started walking along side of them. "Have you been waiting a long time?" I asked a moment later, once we were walking, reaching into my pocket and taking out my set of keys so I could unlock my office.

"Well that's a relief. It would be weird if a doctor didn't like his own work, but I have a feeling you don't like going to the doctor's yourself." I say with a smile as well.
"Maybe about fifteen to twenty minutes? I really lost track when Joseph and I were playing I spy with my little eye. It's his favorite game when we go places. It keeps us both occupied." I say with a laugh as I rock a little on the tips of my toes while Joseph curiously watches Riley jangle his keys so he could unlock his office. If anything, I think Joe was more nervous than anxious about Riley fixing his arm at the moment.

I smiled and nodded, "It would, I guess. And you're right, I don't so much." I said with faint shake of my head.
"At least it wasn't too long then.. they can get pretty slow in here." I nodded slightly, "I always used to play that with my kids." I said with a smile. "It can get pretty entertaining." I added as I found my key and unlocked the door, walking inside and flipping the light on. "You two can take a seat." I smiled to them, walking behind my desk real quick and getting a few things out of it. Them being, my wand and also a small box from behind my desk.

I follow Riley into the office as I walk over to the bench and set Joseph onto the patient's desk. "Now stay put sweetie. The nice doctor Riley will heal you up sooner than you can say chocolate frog." He nods lightly as the tears that were trying to stay stationary in his eyes were now finding their way down his little rosy cheeks.
I frown a little at him, feeling extra guilty for not watching him more carefully now. It wasn't like I gave him a pair of scissors and said, 'Go have fun and stab yourself with them.' That would just be odd and I wouldn't be a great mother if I did do this. Actually the situation was that I was wrapping a birthday present for my friend Molly and Joseph insisted he could help but I said he could do the taping part as it was more important. The moment I left he accidentally cut himself with the scissors.
"Yeah it wasn't as bad as when my friend accidentally turned my nose into an elephant trunk when she was trying to cast a blemish removal charm when I had a date a couple years ago." I say laughing a little as my head nods automatically at his comment of to sit down. Instead, I hold Joe's hand and stroke his hair lightly as we both waited for Riley to heal his wound.

I laughed a little at what Tegen said and shook my head faintly. "That must've been terrible.." I commented, smiling lightly over to her, as I stand down on a stool infront of Joe. "And probably embarrassing." I added, setting down the small box on the bench next to Joe. "He can have sweets, right?" I asked, leaving the box closed for now just in case. I'd opened it once without thinking, displaying the various types of sweets, and let's just say the result was a lot of yelling from the parent. "I promise this isn't gonnna hurt." I said with a small smile to Joe, carefully moving his arm a bit closer to me, holding my wand in my right hand. Just in case, I numbed the area where the cut was and then started to clean it up before starting to heal it. "If you feel anything, let me know." I added with a small smile up to him. [[ alright! see you! ]
