eye colour; Grey
hair colour; Dirty blond
height; 5'11"
other physical traits; Liam is of average build for his height and weight. He's pretty slender but well toned and with easily defined muscles. He never really had to work hard to keep in shape, until after his years in Azkaban where he wasted away and had to work hard to put on weight instead. His features are very clearly defined, sharply angular but straight with a thick jaw. His eyes are quite hooded by his brow, which casts them into shadow and makes them hard to notice the colour of, let alone to read for emotion. He often has stubble as he doesn't shave very often. Usually, he looks pretty normal but for the fact that he rarely smiles, but there are moments when you catch his face in the wrong light and can see just how gaunt and hollow his imprisonment has left him.
clothing style; Dressing for comfort rather than style, Liam usually wears jeans and a plain or faded t-shirt. He's practically always wearing a jacket because he feels the cold very harshly, even in summer when there's little cold to be felt.
what i really meant to say[/font][/blockquote]
is that i'm sorry for the way i am.
good traits;
One of his better traits, for lack of any others, is that he's pretty consistent. If he hates you, you're pretty much marked down for hatred for life, but if he holds you in high regard it will take an awful lot to change his mind. He's pretty honest, which is surprising considering his former house and his skill at being a Death Eater, but he's nearly always open about what's on his mind or his opinion, but doesn't voice himself when he's clearly not intended to. Highly intelligent, he was considered for Ravenclaw like half of his family, but his self-serving nature swung it for him to be put in Slytherin. He does have a gentle side, like most do, but he rarely shows it and it's even rarer for him to show it for more than a few minutes before he reverts back to his default setting.
flaws;
Liam's flaws are easier listed than his good traits. Cold and distrusting, it'll take a lot for him to even look at another person, let alone speak to them. He's quite quick to anger, although he's been known to control this when he has to and then will be disturbingly infuriatingly calm instead. He has a very cool disposition, in that he rarely reacts to anything in the way that he knows people are supposed to. He's very sarcastic, so much so that it's hard to get a sincere word out of him, and he really doesn't care about hitting below the belt and will do so frequently. Liam is, however, more of a follower than a leader, and has a tendency to get so caught up that he will follow blindly, but when it gets to the point where he doesn't like it, he has no moral dilemma with attempting to overthrow or backstab what's been leading him.
habits;
He often rests his hand at the nape of his neck or tangles his fingers in his hair frustratedly because when he gets annoyed he has to do something with his hands or he will do the subject of his irritation some serious damage.
He clenches his fist a lot, either around his wand or just by his sides, even if he's in a perfectly pleasant situation.
Always very tense and on edge, he never relaxes from his typical straight backed manner and the way he holds his shoulders so tightly, and will make an excuse to leave any place that he's not familiar with to the point where he knows where all the exits are and what's behind what door and so on.

brief history;
His mother and his father were both pure bloods. His father was much more into the elitist viewpoint than his mother, who he learned from a very young age was not happy with the way Liam and his sister were brought up to have the same views as him. When he was four, his mother left his father and they never really heard from her again apart from three years later to be told that she'd been classed a blood traitor and killed.
This hit his father very hard, but Liam didn't really notice, nor did he notice the absence of mother very much, or his sister. He never put much aside for his family, even from a young age and spent most of his childhood terrorising other children with his group of savage friends.
It really was no surprise when he was sorted into Slytherin when he hit Hogwarts age.
His younger sister was sorted into Ravenclaw two years later, and this sort of clinched it for the rest of their lives. From this point on, Liam became the favourite at home because his father couldn't bear the resemblance between his former wife and his daughter and the fact that they shared the same house and that Jenna was starting to adopt the not-quite-purist views as she grew older.
The extra attention never really phased Liam, and for the most part, again he didn't really even notice as he was much too busy continuing to terrorise his peers as was his only form of enjoyment. When he hit adolescence, he realised how much more pain he could cause and really started to become good at it.
When his father found out about this, he inducted Liam into the ritual he'd been unaware of for most of his life of using the cruciatus curse on his sister because she made good practice. He was very reluctant about this and always managed to find a way out of it. Family never meant all that much to him, but that didn't mean he jumped at the chance to torture his own.
Luckily, he only had to do this a very few number of times, before his group of friends, the ones he considered his real family, sort of dispersed. He jumped at the chance at leaving with some of them and left his father and sister behind him at the age of 15. Out of sight and out of mind, he no longer really cared that his father was a psychopath and torturing his own sister because he wasn't being forced to do it anymore so it didn't directly affect him.
Now that he's older, he very much regrets this.
Once a few of the kinks were worked out, him and his friends started to travel. This wasn't exactly pleasant, but it didn't bother him so he went along with it, even so far as to sign up with the Dark Lord to become like the rest of them. The Dark Lord had never really bothered him nor tempted him before, so he joined up with a purely apathetic state of mind without much caring for the consequences. Of course, this is another thing that he regrets now.
Finding that his years of torturing small animals and his peers really came in handy in his new profession, he started to quite enjoy it and make a name for himself in this field of work. As per usual, he was pretty unaware of most of the detailed little spats and in's and out's of the group he was part of, only seeing the bigger picture just like he always had. So it took him completely by surprise when everything fell apart at the seams.
First it was one of the others he was least close to, Will, leaving in the middle of the night. Then the strain between their two leaders, Logan and Christopher, which he'd previously and boredly assumed to be a simple power struggle revealed itself to be something much deeper and much worse. When he woke up one morning, both were gone, along with another member of the group who he was least close to, Rowan. Him and his only remaining companion were attacked and arrested almost immediately after this and both sent to Azkaban.
Michael subsequently died in imprisonment. Liam spent three years withering in a cell in the wizarding prison and being forced to relive his worst memories. The harrowing experience was probably what led him to regret his past failings. While he was there he received the news that his sister had killed herself sometime during the past couple of years and it'd only just been relayed to him.
This sort of cracked him, and he gave up on trying to suffer in silence and not betray his own side, giving the ministry as many names of other Death Eaters as he possibly could just to get out of there.
This worked and his life sentence was cleared and he was released. He spent a few months recovering from the ordeal, a few months after that on trying to get revenge on the friends who'd left him to rot as he saw it as their fault because of the timing of his arrest and the events beforehand, and then he gave up entirely and just tried to get on with his life.
He found it very hard initially, and still does frequently. He's shunned by the more elitist members of the pureblood community because he sold out so many good Death Eaters, and shunned by the rest of the wizarding world because of his history of being a prisoner in Azkaban. He doesn't socialise, much or at all, and keeps himself to himself as he's always done.
With the exception of a couple of years, when he had a brief relationship with someone he tries very very hard not to think about because just like everyone else, she proved him to be second best after everything he sacrificed by trying to help her.
