mirror mirror on the wall, have i got it?
i'm finding it's not easy to be perfect.
eye colour; Brown
hair colour; Blonde
height;5'6"
other physical traits; Jesslyn is not what you’d consider short among women, but she is an average height, standing at about five foot six inches. And along with being tall she is rather slim. Even after having her daughter Amara she remained being as skinny as she is. Long blonde hair is her main aspect, usually found falling in front of her face, bangs overlaying her forehead, covering up her features. Jesslyn’s brown eyes are what really stand out against her pale aspects. Her eyes almost look spread wide apart, her cheeks flat, jawbone narrow, full and pale lips, all showing her face.
clothing style; Clothing wise Jesslyn wears what she finds comfortable for that moment. Sweatpants on a laid back, lazy kind of day. Jeans on a casual, and dresses can be worn at any time. Usually she will wear either tennis shoes or wooden heals, if you could even consider them that.
what i really meant to say[/font][/blockquote]
is that i'm sorry for the way i am.
good traits; Jesslyn will always stand up for the few, if any, people that she cares about. Her daughter being the main one she will do anything for. Her daughter comes first for everything. Jess is more laid back, kind, and can be a bit helpful if you're asking the right questions. She really, despite how she can come off as, is one of the greatest people you could talk to.
Jesslyn will more than often give second chances out to those aroudn her, though lately it's been almost showing to not happen. Though she really does believe very much in giving second chances.
flaws;
A flaw of Jesslyn would be her over-protectiveness of those she cares about, of her Amara. She's lost people around her before, and really, she hates the feeling. But who doesn't? So she keeps the closest eye on her daughter, she's never out of her sight, though she doesn't much care. Amara loves her mum.
Depression is an easy thing to come by with Jesslyn, and that's possibly one of her biggest flaws. She had two big spots in her life where all it was was depression and she had to work to get out of it.
habits;
An old habit, and a habit she hasn't resorted to since she was twenty one was cutting. She'd do it meerly to feel better, just to feel pain. To feel anything.
Now, she ties rubber bands around her wrists and snaps them against the tender and pale skin at any time. When she's bored, anxious, nervous. Anytime.
Clicking her tongue when it's quite, biting her lip when she's faintly embarressed or shy.
three words to sum up your character;
- Protective
- Numb
- Depressed (At times)

place of birth; St. Mungo’s
date of birth; July 23rd
brief history; Jesslyn was born on July 23rd in St. Mungo’s, where she remained for a matter of weeks while they tried to find anyone to claim the small baby who was two months premature. With no luck in that matter she was soon moved to an Orphanage just in the Muggle world, in the middle of London. Taking care of the girl was difficult for the staff of the orphanage because she was often in trouble, and often making things happen that weren’t meant to. Without a name to the face they ended up naming the girl Jesslyn, named after two other orphans who had recently been adopted. Jessica and Lynda. Her last name they only thought of a couple years after she’d been there, more so because she loved the rose bushes just out her window. Nicole was just a name they added in probably a year after that.
Jesslyn was used to people treating her differently, she was always small for her age with angelic facial features, and had the devil in her. When made to wear a dress she’d run outside into the dirt just to get it dirty.
At the age of 11 someone was still yet to adopt the little girl, and it was then she tried behaving the most, knowing that it was what she did that turned looking parents away. Misbehaving. She couldn’t help it though, not when things suddenly happened and couldn’t be explained.
Well they could be, that summer headmaster of a school for witches and wizards dropped by, and later Jesslyn was on her way to her new home. Well her home except for on breaks.
Going to Hogwarts was new to her, everything about the wizarding world was. She wasn't used to it and so she'd generally be the one to sit on the sides. Homework was never hard, notes were only coppied when required. Magic, well that was practiced on her own time. Slowly Jesslyn was starting to find no difference between Hogwarts and the orphanage, only thing was one was filled with lunatics that used wands, and the other was filled with lunatics waiting for someone to take them home with them.
Sad.
That's what she called it. Everything. Her third year at Hogwarts and she began falling out of order. Not going to classes, just sleeping in and only on occasion, such of the likely hood of being expelled, would she do her homework that her classmates would bring to the dorm.
Slowly she began to not care, giving up as one of her best friends from the orphanage had been murdered by a death eater. Sleeping in until one, two, sometimes three or four in the afternoon, waking up to get a bite to eat and stare blankly at a wall and then go back to sleep only a few hours later. Those were the habits she fell into. Occasionally she'd wake up and take a shower, only to stand underneath the water and zone out.
By the end of the year she'd failed all of her classes and had to retake them.
Counseling was suggested, so she dealt with it. Going home for the holidays no longer happened, instead she'd stay at Hogwarts and then would go talk to a counseler. Sometimes they'd meet in Hogsmaede, sometimes just at the school, sometimes she'd make an escorted trip to St. Mungo's and talk to someone there. This wasn't only happening on breaks. Every Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. It was routine, it was annoying, and it was required.
After many long hours things started getting better, Jesslyn started getting out of her 'depression', as they'd call it. She started by waking up earlier, usually by noon, and then by ten, and then at eight, and then with the rest of the girls in her dormitory. She was required to have classes after everyone else was out, required to be tutored by her teachers. Constantly being watched.
Then she'd go to classes with the rest of the students at Hogwarts. She'd show up at the dinners, at all meals. She'd eat more and more, gaining back lost weight.
She progressed as time went on. By sixth year, everything had been normal for a while, the war was still going on, but she was better. Still she was required to go and see her counselor. Once a month, the first Monday, always a manditory meeting. Her counselor would talk with her teachers, with the headmaster, would go to the orphanage when she was there over breaks. She was constantly monitored, but she learned to live with it.
After a few more months they slowly let her go back to a normal life of her own.
Close to the ending of her sixth year Jesslyn found out she was pregnant, she didn't care about the father, he'd left her as it was. Still, she could only smile a little bit at the fact that she was going to have a baby. Sure it'd get in the way of somethings, but she didn't care.
About six months into the pregnancy, she was attacked by a death eater, who killed her baby girl, leaving Jesslyn falling right back into her depression, but she didn't come out of it just like the last time. Instead she stayed like that, dropped out of school, she started cutting, only for comfort. Time went on, and when Jesslyn turned 20 she was still seeing a counselor, and that didn't matter, though now she was starting to get better again. The cutting continued though. She started taking more care of herself.
Then at 21 she started looking for a job, getting simple ones that only lasted for a short while. At twenty two Jesslyn found out she was pregnant again and this time she kept to herself, always watching out incase there was someone out to get her.
Shortly later her daughter was born, premature by two and a half months.
Protectiveness was one of the things she learned. Never letting her daughter out of sight. Never ever was she out of sight.
