other physical traits;
Daniel is your average, nondescript stranger that you pass by without a second glance. He's tall, but not tall enough to evoke excessive interest. He's not broad either and his slim, lanky appearance can lead to being called 'runt' by his friends fairly often. Needless to say it will not stop him from picking fights if the need arises.
With a sort of young looking face, he's frequently mistaken for a teenager. This frustrated him when he was younger because he looked like a twelve year old tagalong, but has stopped frustrating him since because he realises that when his friends all look old, he'll still look fairly youthful and he can rub it in their faces.
Baby-faced Daniel has dark grey eyes which tend to be lighter the happier he is, and light brown hair which has a difficult tendency for sticking up and generally disobeying gravity. He doesn't grow facial hair very easily, and when he does it tends to be thin and unimpressive so he's practically always cleanshaven. He has quite a strong nose, which is just a little bit off-set from when it was broken once when he was a child. It's barely noticable. His eyebrows are thin and light, and the sort where it comes naturally to raise them, which is a common response of his.
clothing style;
Daniel's clothing style changes from day to day. It doesn't really change excessively, and it's very easy to pick out his mood from what he's wearing. He tends to always be wearing jeans, but when he's a good mood he might wear a polo neck or a button down shirt open over a light plain t-shirt. When he's in a bad mood, he'll tend to wear black t-shirts or button downs, and a dark beaten leather jacket. He usually has a piece of black string tied loosely around his neck with some sort of small wooden or metallic charm on, but that's the only jewellry he'll wear.
what i really meant to say[/font][/blockquote]
is that i'm sorry for the way i am.
good traits;
Child at heart; Daniel really is a child at heart. His outdoorsy childhood left it's permanent mark on him and he loves nothing more than being able to run about like a mad man. He has a tendency for hyperness which can make him act very immature, and he loves to introduce himself randomly to strangers in the same way that a toddler would. He also carries with him still the same thick-skinned naivety that children have.
Brave; He shies away from no challenge. With his immaturity and bravery, Daniel has been known to sort of think himself a super hero. He loves nothing more than to be able to stick up for the underdog. There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and he has one foot firmly planted on either side. He loves adrenalin rushes and chases them eagerly, but he's also able to keep a cool and level head when faced with tough situations.
Selfless; Daniel's own well-being matters not. He is one of those people who will do anything for anyone and expects no thanks for it because it's "just what anyone would do". He's protective and will do anything; start any fight, keep any secret, go to any lengths to secure the safety and happiness of his friends and family. He won't go quite that far for a stranger, but he'll still be willing to help out.
flaws;
Scarred; 'Once bitten, twice shy' is a good saying to describe Daniel. Except with him, it's more like 'twice bitten'. Daniel has the daddy issues from Hell. He's been both abandoned and had his hero betray him, and the deep scars that these experiences have left him with do not go away, especially because he won't admit that they're there. This can lead him to act rashly or snappishly if paternity issues are raised.
Hotheaded; In Daniel's mind, he is always right and he won't give up until everybody knows it. He never backs down and will keep fighting to the bitter end because he is not wrong and will not stop until he gets his way. This stubborness also means that he never gives up, which can be a good thing, but more often than not he really is just hotheaded and will pick fights for the sake of it.
Lazy; Just ask his teachers, Daniel could have been so brilliant. He could have zipped through his exams with Outstandings, but because of his laziness and procrastination with his homework and in classes, he was lucky to pass at all. He can work hard, but it's only if he wants something, and he spent his adolescence and school years chasing happiness rather than success.
habits;
Daniel has precious few habits. He's very straight-edge, not a drinker or a smoker or drug abuser or even one for one night stands.
He does speak without thinking at times. When he's anxious, he tends to flatten his hair nervously. He can become easily distracted and does little to hide it when his attention is waning.

place of birth;
Carmarthen, Wales
date of birth;
July 13th
brief history;
Daniel was born as the last of a set of triplets at just gone two in the morning on the 13th of July. Interestingly enough, his brother and sister were born in the very latest hours of July 12th. His mother was a frail wispy sort of woman and without anyone to look after them, the triplets spent three weeks in hospital while she recovered from the trying labour. Daniel's father left when she revealed that she was pregnant and never made contact. The family grew up in the town of Carmarthen, Wales which is situated on the River Towy. This was idealic for Daniel and Sophia who loved growing up in such a natural, lively place, but not so much for John who preferred to spend his time inside with a book or helping their mother.
When the children were four years old, their mother finally married. Daniel's stepfather, Peter, was a kind man and as Daniel had never known a father he immediately accepted it, along with his brother and sister. His stepfather stuck by the family through everything, even when Daniel started to be able to make things happen. It was things that they ignored at first; a dog that had bitten his sister suddenly flying against the wall before it could do more damage, a book his brother had been trying to reach falling of it's own volition off the top shelf when Daniel reached for it, a neighbour who had persistently parked his car in front of their driveway brakes failed so his car had rolled down the hill and straight into the river.
Peter knew what was going on straight away.
He owned up completely when Daniel was nine and told their mother that he was in fact a wizard and had his suspicions that Daniel was too. He was proven right two years later when Daniel's acceptance letter to Hogwarts arrived.
It was around this time that he really made a connection with his stepfather because he could ask him questions that the rest of his family did not know the answers to, and as a result was much more prepared for when he did get sent away from his mother and siblings for the first time. He was sorted into Gryffindor on arrival and had a wonderful time. He immediately discovered his talent and nearly immediately started letting it go to waste with his laziness, but he managed to scrape acceptable grades in his OWLs.
It was during his fifth year that his happy peaceful little existence sort of crumbled all around him. He'd been very aware of the war up until that point because his friends and classmates were all being deeply affected by it and were having friends and family members dropping like flies, but it had never touched his life before. His muggle family was very safe far away from it all, and neither Peter nor Daniel ever told them anything about what was going on.
Then Peter, a pureblood Slytherin, was very suddenly and very inexplicably dead. He was murdered by Order Members. Daniel refused to believe that his stepfather was a Death Eater, but was proved wrong during the funeral, when he saw the mark on his arm. He left straight away and refused to ever visit his former hero's grave.
Of course, he never told his mother any of this. She barely managed to pry from him the fact that there was in fact a war on and Peter had been one of the casualties. The information he kept to himself caused an irreperable rift between him and his family and by the time he'd graduated they were practically strangers. He moved out straight away and into a flat which he shared with a former housemate.
He trained at St Mungo's for three years before eventually becoming a Healer himself and has been working there ever since, although now he lives alone in a small apartment above a shop in Diagon Alley.
He met his long term girlfriend when he was 21 and had strayed briefly into the muggle world without real purpose. They hit it off and spent the following three years together. When she admitted to him that she was pregnant, he instantly started to put emotional distance between them. He wasn't sure why, but he just knew that he couldn't let this happen. His biological father never being a part of his life combined with the ultimate betrayal of his stepfather had left him very sensitive with the idea of paternity. It wasn't long before she told him that she couldn't handle the distance anymore and he either had to change or leave, so he gratefully left.
He's been completely on his own since then and quite likes it that way, and he tries hard not to think of Hannah or the baby which he's never met and never intends to meet. It plays on his mind from time to time, but he's very good at shutting those sort of thoughts out by now and instead is currently concentrating on his career.
