I really wouldn't mind getting all of this off of my chest, but there were some things that I just didn't like telling people. Even Briar. Like the fact that Ryiann killed my sister. That's not something I like spreading around. Only a couple people knew.. I knew I could trust her, but I really didn't even know. Maybe I could tell her.
She hit my head gently and I looked over to her. ".. Sorry.. I didn't mean it that way." I told her, rubbing the back of my head for a second. "Just that I'd probably explode if something else happens..."

I smiled faintly, "If you can take my mind off things, then I don't care how immature you can be."

[Briar Holmes]

Briar smiled faintly and nodded. "I know what your going through, Ri. I've lost both my mom and brother, by the same person. My father of all people. I lost Logan, my daughter. You can tell me anything, I hope you know that," She said quietly.

She put a hand on his back and started rubbing her hand softl in circles. Something she did when people were upset, "It gets easier with time, if you let it. If you don't, you'll lose what small bit of sanity you have left." She wasn't an expert at depression, but she sure knew what it felt like.

She couldn't help but let out a small giggle, "I will, soon. We have the kids with us right now, though so..."

I nodded faintly, never really realizing just how many people she did lose. So I paused for a moment, biting on my lip a little bit. "So you don't mind if I talk to you about things?" I asked a moment later, looking oer to her.

I looked over to her as she rubbed my back and nodded faintly. "I try to let it, but then something else happens and it all just comes back again.."

I smiled and nodded a little bit. "Right.. kids.. I should just drop them off with my mum.."

Briar smiled, happy he asked that question. "Ri, I want you to tell me. I'm here just for that, now." Her hand was still rubbing around in circles on his back and she stopped, but didn't take her hand off of his back, just incase he started to break down.

She nodded and sighed, "I know.. I wish I knew what more to say at this time, but now we're stuck where I am now." She had to let out a bitter chuckle at that.

She smiled and nodded, "It's set. I'll take you out whenever you're free, deal?"

I nodded faintly again, unsure of where I could even start. This is where most people would probably say the beginning, but I wasn't even sure where the beginning was anymore. ".. So you know how I told you my sister passed?" I asked, looking over to her for a moment. "Did you know how?" I asked a moment later, frowning a bit more.

"It's alright, Briar.." I said with a faint ghost of smile. "You've helped a lot already.."

I smiled and nodded. "Deal." I sad looking over to her, messing her hair slightly. "So where do you think you would be dragging me?"

Briar watched him, probably deciding where to start telling her these things. She didn't say anything, she didn't want to rush him. She nodded her head once when he asked her about his sister, probably where it all started. She passed, but he didn't say how, "... No," She said after a moment.

She smiled faintly and gave him a quick hug, "That's all I want, is to help you as much as I can."

Briar scrunched up her nose and make a sad attempt to fix her curls. After a few moments, she gave up. She would fix them later, "I have a couple ideas," She said with a smile. Ice cream parlor, the park... strip club..

I took in a deep breath and let it out again, having It really wasn't that I didn't trust her. Because I did trust Briar.. I just.. I didn't like saying it.
".. Riyann killed her." I said eventually, glancing to her for a moment, before moving my eyes to the floor.

I smield a bit and hugged her back with a small nod. "Thanks, Briar.."

I smiled, "Alright.. so what are you ideas then?" I asked with a soft chuckle, wondering if I should be scared.

Briar felt her eyes widen a tad bit as he said that. Riyann killed her? Riyann, of all people? She tried to calm down and eventually nodded, "Oh, Riley.." She said quietly, her hand beginning to rub his back again.

She couldn't help but smile, again, "Anytime, Riley."

Briar smiled mischeviously, "You know... maybe go to the ice cream parlor, maybe the park... then maybe the strip club..." She was curious to see what his reaction would be to the last idea. She couldn't help it, that would definitely get things off of his mind, though.

I nodded faintly, staying silent for a moment before she started to rub my back again. "So um.." I shrugged slightly, "What was I supposed to do, you know?" I asked a moment later glancing over to her again. "So I got a divorce.." I stopped again and took in another deep breath, letting it out again with a frown. "Riyann told me later that she did it, 'just because.'" I added looking over to again with a faint shrug.

I smiled a bit to her again and nodded slightly.

I raised my eyebrows slightly and let out a small laugh when she said strip club. "That would definitely get my mind off things." I chuckled, shaking my head faintly.

Briar stayed silent. That sounded like her dad alot. He had finally lost it when his so called 'baby girl' said she wasn't coming home. "She'd lost it.." She whispered, mostly to herself. "It's amazing what these times can do to you now."


Briar nodded with an actual smile, "Exactly," She said, laughing quietly shortly after.

I shrugged faintly. "She seemed sane enough.." I said quietly, pushing some hair out of my face again. I nodded slightly, "Yeah.. guess it is.." I frowned slightly.

I laughed a little bit. "I think that if you take me to a strip club, I would be really uncomftable.." I chuckled.

Briar shrugged, "You never know.." She said, sill rubbing his back. "Was she sent to Azkaban?" She finally had the nerve to ask. More than likely she was, unless she did it like Briar did to Alex all those years ago. By gun. Or knife.

Briar finally grinned, something she hadn't done in months, "That's the point," She said.

I nodded, "Yeah, she was sent to Azkaban.." I told her quietly with a small nod. "Broke out couple months ago though..."

I chuckled a bit and nodded, "Right.. I knew that.."

[Briar Holmes]

Briar nodded, trying to see how she could have managed that. "I wonder how she managed that.." She thought outloud. She looked over at Riley and frowned, "If you don't want to tell me anymore, you don't have to. I know this is hard."

She sighed and shook her head, "I guess I could settle for just a bar."

I shrugged, "Beats me.." I said looking over to her. ".. No, I'll keep going.. that was the hardest part.." I added a bit quieter.
"So um.. the girls hated me, for whatever reason.. then they found out Riyann killed their aunt.." I shrugged slightly. "Then Riyann just went overboard.. threated my friend Arden.. who I sort of started to see." I shrugged a bit. "She hasn't yet as far as I know though.." I apused again and shrugged, letting out another deep breath. "Then Arden decides she just wants me friends with me.. and she loves someone else." That may have been the condensed version, but it was the gist of what happened.

I smiled faintly and shrugged. "Whatever you want to do Briar.. I tend to get a bit carried away in bars though.. just for a warning.."

Briar nodded and listened to the rest of it. Riyann had lost it, for whatever reason, atleast that's what she thought. Why would Riyann do all of that? Out of spite? Had she lost all of her insanity? She wanted to know why, but she wouldn't go asking around. No, that would probably hurt Riley. "Do you feel a little better, getting that off of your chest?" She finally asked.

Briar rose an eyebrow and shook her head, "You should see me when I get around any kind of alcohol or liquor, Ri."

I shrugged, "Maybe a little bit.. but not a lot." I said quietly with a small sigh, looking over to her again. I wish I felt better than I did, but right now, I sort of felt like it wasn't going to get better. I knew that it would, but it was hard to imagine.


"So then this probably isn't a good combinaton.." I said with a faint chuckle over to her.

Briar let out a sigh. He was harder than anybody else. She turned slightly and wrapped him in a hug, not knowing what else to do. It was hard to see things getting better, she knew that. And he wasn't used to this kind of pain.

"Who cares? I'm taking you to a bar, that's final," She said with a determined look on her facial features.

I sighed slightly too and hugged her back when she wrapped her arms around me. Hugs just tended to make me feel better. So this was probably the second best thing to do after talking about it.

"Fine.. take me wherever you want." I said with a small nod. ".. Just make sure I don't leave with anybody.." I added looking over to her. Everytime I got drunk I feel like I ended up picking up a woman. Not something I wanted to happen.

[Briar Holmes]

Briar sighed a little and looked over at Justin's sleeping figure. She wondered how he was, knowing that baby's sensed vibes coming off of their parents. She didn't say anything, she just wanted to make Riley feel a little better. There was nothing more she could do.

Briar nodded with a smile, "You'll be with me, Riley. I'll be sure you won't do that. If you try and pick one of the sluts, I'll stupefy you and take you home."

I rested my head on her shoulder and let out another breath, biting my lip slightly as I hugged her. A few moments later, I pulled away a bit. "Thanks again.." I told her with a faint half smile.

I smiled and chuckled faintly. "Thank you.. that'll be great."

[Briar Holmes]

Briar smiled at him as he pulled away and said, "No problem. If you ever need me, I'm only an owl away." She wanted to make sure he knew that, that way he wouldn't try and do something stupid.

She smiled and nodded, "It'll be fun, actually.."

I smiled a bit back to her and nodded. "Okay.. I'll keep that in mind then.." I said looking over to her.

I smiled and noded a bit again. "Yeah.. probably will be.. in fact.. we should go now."

[Briar Holmes]

Briar nodded and had a stern look aswell as tone in her voice, "You'd better."

Her eyebrows rose up in surprise but she nodded, "Okay... but the kids?"

I nodded, "I will Briar.. you have my word.. anyway.. I'm not going to do anything stupid.. my kids need me." I said looking over to her.

"We can drop them at my friend's.. she lives right next door.." I said with a small nod.

Briar stared at him for a few moments before nodding, "Okay then." She believed him, so she let it drop.

She nodded and stood up. "Get the girls then," She said, beginning to go over to Justin.

I was thankful when she believed me, cause I didn't know what else I could say to convince her. I wasn't going to kill myself.. I had too much to live for.

I nodded a bit, "Alright." I said before standing up and going up to their room, so I could get them.

So, they had dropped off the kids, much to the girls dismay. They'd have to deal, though. Because they were going out. To a bar of all places. She and Riley were currently walking down the streets of London, Briar looking around for a good place. Maybe a muggle bar. If not, then the Leaky Cauldron. She preferred the muggle bar though, so she could try out new things. "Ever been to a muggle bar, Riley?" She asked suddenly.

"Um.. no actually." I said after a moment, looking over to her as they walked down the streets of London. By the time I could drink, I didn't do it much at all, and I only went to hogsmeade or the leaky cauldron.

Briar let out a laugh and stopped to look in one bar. It seemed a little crowded. She was about to just apparate to the Leaky Cauldron. The thought of tasting muggle alcohol scared her a bit. "Leaky Cauldron it is. Want to apparate?" She asked him, turning to look at him.
