I can't believe I really let them talk me into this. Ice skating, I mean really? Then again, no one ever said that I actually had to skate, that doesn't mean I didn't try again though. Over the years, I had gotten slightly better at it though. Being able to actually stay standing. I could skate now, just very slowly. Just enough to help teach the girls how when they were old enough. Riyann mainly taught them though.. which makes sense considering she was the parent who could actually go without falling on her butt every ten minutes.
So since they wanted me to skate with them, I put on my skates and like I expected, they ditched me after about five minutes. I was going way too slow for them. Which was why I was sitting on the bench near the rink, just watching them skate, leaving my skates on just because I was too lazy to take them off. That and I wanted to be sure I could get back out there if they needed me.
I sighed and just watched them, watching the other people skate, seeing a couple holding hands as they went by only to have one of them slip and bring the other down. I chuckled at this, smiling slightly as I watched them. Even if I was reminded about the fact that Arden chose Logan over me by seeing the couple. Which I guess wasn't the best feeling, but what could you do?
Ella waved to me a moment later and I smiled waving lightly back and then saw the two of them continue to skate.

The feeling of sickness was soon brought to Kyra's stomach as she made her way back through the muggle world, the old memories being brought back to her once again. The light breeze beating on her face as he eyes moved up and down, watching the white clouds swiftly flow along the sky. It had been a while since she had felt the breeze on her face, she spent most of her time locked in her room, thinking about everything.. Again. She had no idea what was wrong with herself lately, her mind continued on thinking instead of actually doing the normal things in life. Having fun.

And that's what she was going to temp to do today. As she made her way through the people, Kyra found a small bench to herself. Lifting her blades out of her bag, she slid off her dolly shoes and gently slid into her skates. Putting her hands through her hair, she placed the long blackness over onto her right shoulder, then running her fingers through her fringe, getting it out of her deep blue eyes today.

Standing up, she didn't have any trouble, she was used to the ice by now. All of her old dates lead to ice skating. Rolling her eyes to one side, she saw the people on the ice were mostly couples and kids. Releasing a small sigh from her lungs, she pushed off on her foot. And started to gently glide along the slippery ice. With her hands behind her back, doing little twirls with her feet. She was finally at rest.[/size][/ul]

I continued looking out onto the ice, watching as Ella turned, takin her eyes off of me to nearly run into a girl. My eyes widened slightly and she ended up skating around them fastly, yelling a sorry behind her and catching up with her sister. I let out a small breath of relief and looked back over to the girl she nearly ran into. But I recognized her and it wasn't just any girl. It was Kyra.. I hadn't seen her in quite a long time.
So despite not wanting to go on the ice. I stood up, slightly shakily and made my way out onto the ice slowly. I was a bit wobbly at first, but after a couple moments, I was doing alright and started towards her.
"Hey, Kyra." I called out to her with a bright smile.

The first thought which was brought to her head as soon as she had to dodge the children in her direction. Giving a small nod and smile to the children as she saw them glide away. Her hands still behind her back, she let out a small sigh. Wow, did she wish she was settled down and had children. She remembered about thinking of it a while ago, when she was actually with the love of her life. But, she hadn't seen him in years, he was either in a better place, or settled down himself. She couldn't think about him anymore. She needed to move on.

That was when she heard a familiar voice, her face lighted up straight away. Turning slightly to see Ry not look so steadily on the ice but coming over to see her. She saw his grin and gave a big one back. Moving her hands, she wrapped them around his shoulders and burried her head in his chest as soon as he was in her grabbing reach. Which was probably a bit of a quick reaction, but she couldn't help herself. She did still really like the guy.

"RyRy! How have you been?! I've missed you."[/size][/ul]

She wrapped her arms around me, quite quickly and being surprised by the sudden hug, lost the footing that I had managed to accumulate, and slipped backwards. I feel down to the ice, bringing Kyra with me.
I laughed lightly and hugged her back, even though we were fallen on the ice now.
"I've missed you too." I smiled and then shrugged. "Been alright.." I said, not bothering to mention that I'd been sort of terrible all year, but that was no way to start off a conversation. "Are you okay?" I asked a moment later, with a small laugh.

Seeing as within a second or two, Ry had fallen over and brought Kyra with him. She landed on top of him, so she couldn't really moan at the floor. She was about to ask if he was okay, but she looked up to see him with a chuckle. She, herself, giggled, looking down, resting her head back on his chest. She had really missed just being able to be in his arms, she couldn't believe how much she did actually like him. She was glad to see him again.

And then when she heard his voice reply with a 'I missed you too' line. It made her heart stop a beat, she then rested her hand onto his chest, just feeling him breath in and out. She knew straight away that his life hadn't been okay.

"Riley, do you remember what I can do?"

She said softly, hopefully he would remember that she could read minds. As soon as he asked her if she was okay, she didn't know exactly how to reply. She could just say her life was the usual, okay in some places but she had spent all of her time thinking about her stupid life. It seemed to be the best way to put it. It was Riley, he would understand.

I laughed a little more, trying to ignore the small bit of pain I got from the ice and smiled. I really had quite missed her. Plus, I was getting pretty bored sitting on the bench and this was much better. In fact, this was probably the happiest I'd felt in a few weeks.

I heard her question and sighed a bit with faint nod. "Right." I said with a soft chuckle. "So things's've been terrible." I shrugged a little bit. "Just don't like saying it." I added, shaking a bit of hair from my eyes.

I nodded a bit, "Know what you mean.." I said with looking over to her. "... So I say that we go up again, then." I chuckled softly, rolling us over so I was on top of her for a moment, before starting to get back up.
"Dad, what're you doing?" Lottie called skating back over with Ella as I was just starting to move off her. I looked over to them and laughed a little bit, looking back towards Kyra before back to the girls. "Just saying hi to a friend of mine." I smiled brightly, holding a hand out to Kyra to help her up.

She realised that it must of hurt him atleast a little bit. so she just leaned up and kissed him on the cheek softly. Hearing him actually say that his life was pretty shit made her feel slightly happier, not at the fact that his life was shit like her but at the fact he hadn't forgotten about her stupid skill.

"I don't think anyone likes to say that. But you know I worry about you."

Kyra soon replied after a while with a small smile. Looking up at him when she felt his gaze on her. Listening to his next sentence, she quickly giggled as she felt him roll the two of them over. Feeling his weight be lifted off her, she heard his children ask what he was doing. Ky let another small chuckle out to that, grabbing Ry's hand softly to help her up. Jumping up onto her feet, giving a small nod a smile to him to say thank you.

Moving her hands through her hair once again, placing back onto her shoulder. Liking the fact that he grinned when he said saying hi to a friend. She looked down at the kids, she hadn't seen them in ages. They'd grown so much.

"Wow, you've grown up so much."

With a smile on her pale lips, she knew they probably wouldn't remember her.[/size][/ul]

She kissed my cheek and I smiled a bit more. My cheeks tinted a slight pink, but from all I knew that could've just been from the wind. Which actually would've made sense too, so I didn't worry about it.

I shrugged a little bit, "You worry about me?" I asked her a moment later with a faint smile to her. I knew that I'd been smiling nearly constantly, but it was just hard not to around Kyra. I wasn't sure what it was.

Once Kyra was up, I brushed some ice shavings off me and looked over to the girls from Kyra.
Both of the girls shrugged a little bit and smiled. But Lottie was eyeing Kyra a bit suspiciously, but still nicely.

I smiled a bit and looked back to Kyra. "Nearly eleven now." I said to Kyra. "This one's Ella.. and this one here is Lottie." I smiled.
"You guys remember Kyra?" I asked them, taking a wild guess and thinking that they didn't.
They both shrugged again. "Sort of." Ella said with a small shrug.

As soon as the kids shrugged, she knew straight away that they didn't remember her. She wasn't surprised, it had been a while since she last saw Riley with them, a very long time ago. Tilting her head to one side lightly, she let out a small chuckle.

"You don't have to say you do, has been a while."

Seeing as one of the kids was eyeing her some what suspiciously, she couldn't help but see why. From the thought of her, she instantly looked down as her cheeks flushed a small tint of red. Not really wanting anyone to know that she had just found out why. But she knew by the way she looked down, Riley would probably guess.

Sliding her hands back down to her sides, she placed her hand into his, tracing her fingers and latched them with his. It's what she normally did when she got slightly embarrassed. Instant reaction. Continuing to look down at the floor.[/size][/ul]

They smiled a little bit and nodded. Lottie still looking at her, getting a slightly confused look on her face when she blushed and turned her head away slightly. I looked over to her and smiled a bit, not thinking much of it at all, guessing it was just the wind or something. Or because it was cold out.

Kyra placed her hand in mine and I looked down at them for a moment, biting my lip for a second. The girls noticed this next and they stared for a moment before Ella spoke up. "Dad we're gonna go skate.. Nice to meet you Kyra." She said lightly before grabbing onto Lottie's hand and pulling her along with her. Lottie looked back at the two of them and bit her lip slightly before just following her.

Once they were gone, I looked over to her and bit my lip a lttle bit again. "Um.." I said with a soft chuckle, looking down at our hands again before back up to her.

Giving a small nod as she heard the two little kids glide away. She continued on looking down at the ice, feeling Ry bite his lip through the pulse in his hand. She knew how the children were probably thinking it was weird for her to act like that, they were very confused. She knew it.

".. I'm gonna.. Er."

Her first reaction was dropping his hand softly and then setting off on her feet on the ice once again, her hair waving back and forworth in the wind as she skated very slowly through everyone else. Riley still standing there was she left him, because she didn't know what to say. She was just embarrassed for once, it only seemed to be around him.

Keep her hands to her sides this time, feeling the wind go through her fingers.[/size][/ul]

I raised my eyebrows slightly as she dropped my hand and skated off and I watched her go for a moment before starting to skate after her. I was wondering why she was holding my hand, yes, but that didn't mean she had to skate away. Especially because I couldn't skate too fast.. and when I actually did manage to pick up speed, I couldn't stop.

But after a moment, I did manage to catch up to her and skated up beside her, grabbing her hand lightly in mine as I did. I lost my balance slightly for a second but managed to regain it after a second so we didn't fall.

"Where're you off to?" I asked with a small laugh, smiling over to her.

Feeling a person starting to skate up beside her, grabbing her hand, she instantly looked over to see Ry there, smiling at her. She couldn't help but give a faint smile back. Slowly her pace down a bit as she felt that he as about to fall over again. She, herself, bit her lower lip as she looked away again. She didn't know what to say to him, she closed her eyes for a second, her long eye lashes forming together before she looked over at him again.

"You must be thinking why I held you're hand?"

A small giggle passed her lips, she knew it already, but it was a conversation to start on why she set off. But then thinking back to the times they had before, they always seem to end with herself heartbroken, which brought a small sigh to her mouth.[/size][/ul]

I shrugged a little bit, glad she slowed down and nodded. "Yeah, I am sort of.. but it doesn't really matter." I said with a faint smile looking back at her for a moment. "I'm also wondering why you skated away from me though." I chuckled faintly, with a small shrug.

"And you alright?" I asked a moment later, hearing her small sigh.

Giving a small shrug herself as she listened to him ask the questions. She just watched the people around her skate, watching his children in the corner, having fun. She shook her head slightly, she was really starting to feel upset with not having a family of her own. Yet again she would be spending another Christmas by herself.

"Err.. Well, I was just getting embarrassed by your kids thoughts.."

Blushing slightly at remembering them again, looking down at the ice. Just hopefully he would think it would be the coldness causing her cheeks to go pink again. Moving her fingers slightly within his as she felt the coldness starting to get to her hands again. Then moving her other hand into her back pocket of her skinnies.

"And yet again.. I can't deal with it being awkward."[/size][/ul]

"Oh.." I said with a few chuckles. "Sorry.. I probably would be embarrassed too if I could hear them though.." I said looking over to her. ".. I don't really think that they know what to think.. with Riyann.. and then Arden.." I shrugged slightly.

I looked over to her, seeing her cheeks pink. I smiled faintly, really unsure if it was because of the wind, or if she really was blushing. I'm not good at figuring this out. Least not lately.
I smiled a bit and squeezed her hand slghtly, blushing faintly to myself.

I shrugged a little. "It's not too awkward, right?"

To what he said, she just shrugged a little, making her hair move on her shoulders lightly. He was right, there had been a few girls in his life and it always seemed to fuck up somehow. She did feel sorry for him, and she knew he probably didn't feel the same way like she did. And even if he did, the children would probably had enough with new girls being in their lives and then leaving again.

"Yeah, I guess.. It would kinda effect the little things.."

Letting another small sigh leave her lips, she wanted to tell him, that she wanted to be more with him. But she had no way of saying it. For now, she guessed, she would just let the day flow through. It is quite a nice scene, holding hands on the ice. The feeling of his hand in hers, made her go all tingly.

Looking up at him slightly as he squeezed her hand softly, seeing his own cheeks go a small tint of pink. That made a tiny faint smile crawl along her lips.

"No, it's not really for me.. Is it for you?"[/size][/ul]

I shrugged slightly. "Probably at least a bit.. I think they're okay though.. and if they're not then they will be.." I said, at least hoping that they would be. I didn't know how they were feeling about Riyann.. and I wasn't sure if they ever like Arden after they saw us kissing that one day. I think that maybe they're okay. All I knew is that they were being a bit quiet and everytime I get invovled with someone, I seemed to be the one to get hurt. Even though the other person may have gotten hurt too.. it's still terrible..

She looked up to me after I squeezed her hand and I smiled softly back to her.

I smiled and shook my head a little bit. "No, not really for me either." I said with a small shrug.

All Kyra could reply with now was a simply 'hm', she had no idea what to say anymore. There was nothing to really say, she was just skating along with a guy, with his children keeping eye on her. Since they were probably scared of their dad getting hurt again. She understood completely, well, some what.

".. Eh, so, what are you doing after this?"

Looking over to him slightly, just to see his cute, adorable little face. There was a small breeze going crossway's which made Kyra's hair move across her face, she giggled and just left it like that, looking over at Ry again. [/size][/ul]

I wasn't sure if they didn't want me to get hurt again, or if they just didn't want me to date anyone. I think that maybe it was a mix of the two.

I shrugged a little. "Just heading back home probably.. Left the little one with my neighbor.. so I think I should go get him soon.." I said with a small smile, looking over to her again. I saw some of her hair across her face when I did look over and laughed a little bit, moving them away gently with my free hand, grinning softly as she giggled.

Hearing his sweet voice just made her smile even more, now finally continuing to look at him for once. She nodded as he finished what he was saying, understanding completely, well, sort of. Yes, she did have a kid once, but he was taken away from her. Because of being a death eater and of course no death eater could be trusted with a kid back then. Which made her slightly angry at times, since she didn't get to live the whole experience of having a little kid to herself.

But back to the point, she gave a faint smile to him before looking down at the ice for a second, especially after thinking about that somewhat brought her down.

"Fair enough.. When will we see each other again?"

Grinning this this time as she look up at him, since she did want to see him again after this. Why wouldn't she?[/size][/ul]

I smiled a bit and shrugged. "Um.. Soon?" I asked, smiling lightly with a small laugh. I didn't really know when, soon though. I was off work for the next few days though, so I guess anytime in that time would work.. after that I'd have to give her my work schedule or something, which can get a bit crazy sometimes.
"If you're not doing anything.. um, wanna just come back with us?" I asked a moment later looking over to her again. This way, we could have more time to talk and she could meet Justin.

Giggling at the small fact of hearing what he was thinking about, the thought of getting his work schedule made her giggle even more than before. He really did make her giggle by his thoughts, they were so random the she was herself. That's another reason why they got on so well from the word go. Freeing her other hand from her back pocket, she placed it on his arm the one she was already holding with the other hand. Just resting t there so she could rest her head on his arm as well, trying to stop herself from giggle.

".. Er, sure? If I'm not going to intrude?"

She looked up at Ry through her fringe and smiled cheekily, Kyra suddenly got into one her cheeky and silly moods. She loved having them, most people were scared of her. Since she was act all childish and smitten with the guys or girls she liked.

I glanced over to her when she giggled and laughed faintly. "What?" I asked with small smile right before she placed her free hand over my arm that she was already holding, and rested her head on my arm too. None of which I was really expecting. Had I said something funny? Or.. thought something funny? Which was most likely the case. "Was it something I thought?" I asked a moment later with a soft chuckle. Even though really, I didn't think that I thought about anything that was particularily funny..

I smiled and shook my head a little bit. "If you'd be interrupting I wouldn't've asked.." I said with a small shrug and smile.

I looked over to her again, catching her smiling cheekily up to me. I laughed a little bit and smiled lightly back with a small laugh. "Anyway.. you should.. you can meet my youngest." I smiled. "And we can catch up."

After hearing Riley's questions, she couldn't help but carry on with her cheeky smile. Shaking her head softly as she down a small twirl with her feet on the ice, she continued to look down at the floor as she started to think about things. Things that she didn't really want to but yet had to for everyone else's' good. Rolling her deep blue eyes under her fringe, her smile began to turn into a fainter one.

"Something you thought, I wouldn't worry though."

A forced small giggle from her lips as she looked up to see everyone else skating on the ice turning in for the day, it was getting quite cold now. Kyra could feel her bones beginning to shake.

"Sure, sounds good to me then."[/size][/ul]

I scratched the top of my head faintly with a small chuckle and shrugged a little bit. "Alright.. sure I shouldn't be worried?" I asked her, laughing a bit just to that I was joking. I should probably just let it go now, which was what I was planning on dong.. right now.

I noticed it was getting a lot colder out here and I saw a majority of the people around us get off the ice and start to pack up their things and take off their skates. I didn't feel like it was very late at all, but I guess I didn't really have the time either, so it could be.

"Good.. let's just go get the girls then." I said with a small smile to her.

[[ hm... should we just skip all the getting the kids and going back to the house and just have them at his house [which is actually his parent's house.. lol]? ]]

After I gathered up the girls, we packed up all of our things and headed back to our house. Which was still technically my parent's house.. where they still lived. I haven't been back to my own house in so many months that I wondered if it was even still unoccupied. For all I knew Riyann was staying there.. Or maybe she had already burned it down. I really wasn't so sure. But I knew that eventually I was going to have to go down there and clean up.. and pack up all of the things that I didn't want.. and move back in. I just didn't know when that was going to happen.

I opened the door to the house and the girls ran inside and up to their room, chattering lightly. More than likely they were going up there to talk about whatever they thought was going on. They didn't even know that Arden and I weren't going out, since I decided to not even bothering telling them. They assumed that we were in the first place though, so maybe I should..

I smiled over to Kyra as I looked back to her and shut the door behind her. "You want anything to drink?" I asked with the same small smile.

Stepping into the door, hearing as Riley shut the door behind her, she looked around for a moment. Her head glanced over her shoulder and nodded softly.

"I would love a glass of water please."

With a smile on her pale lips, she turned back round, moving her arms softly, she pulled them out of the sleeves of her coat. The thickness of the coat made her stomach look really small once it was taken off. You could tell that she hadn't eaten for a while, she missed out on her eating of her animal the other week. She was too far away with thinking. Her eyes followed to a coat rack, hearing the small thump to the floorboards, she walked over to it, placing her coat on the hanger.

Kyra's hands moved gently through her hair, directing it over her left shoulder once again, breathing in, making her chest go in. And exhaling gently, with the smile still on her lips, she looked over at Ry again.[/size][/ul]
