How Nice To See You.. ((Jess))

[Alex Arturus]

Alex wandered down the hill stumbling slightly as he did so, he got to the lake and looked out across it, it was huge, it's looked mysterious and beautiful, with the moonlight dancing on it's surface, Alex noticed a huge boulder just on the edge of the lake but it's top face extended over the lake a little so that it would become the perfect diving board, although on a cold night like tonight he didn't want to go swimming.

Alex huddled into his light brown jacket a little as the cold bitter air attcked him, his legs trembled slightly in their dark blue skinny jeans, his dark brown hair flew around his face covering his chocolate brown eyes, he moved his hand and tossed it out of his face, his heavy fringe falling back to it's original place, he walked down to the 'diving board' and climbed up and sat on the top, he pulled out his wand and lit a fire, his eyes glistened with orange light, he smiled slightly as he warmed up.

Snap Alex heard a snap behind him, he turned to try and find out what it was but it was too dark to see.

A twenty seven year old being summoned to her old school, how stupid was that? Well in Jess' case it wasn't so stupid, her idiotic kid had once again got into trouble. He definitely took after his parents. If anyone had known Jess when she was in school she would had been voted least likely to have a kid. Well, when you sleep around you're bound to get one sometime. After taking care of the little problem she decided to go around and talk to some of her old teachers, granted she disliked most of them, not really them as much as school, but she still thought it would be nice to visit the place where her son was conceived and then carried around till after she graduated. Teacher after teacher told her that they were proud of her for growing up, which in her opinion she hadn't done a whole lot of.

After almost being bored to death by her old herbology teacher she decided that a stroll along the grounds would be refreshing. It was actually rather dark, she didn't realize that she had been there for so long. She walked a little ways and came across the lake, that place held some memories for sure. The reflection of the moon on the surface of the lake was breath taking but nothing that she would linger on for too long. A gust of wind blew her hair in her face, she slowly wrapped her checkered jacket tighter around her and pushed the hair out of her face. That's when she saw a light, not a regular light but a fire light. She walked closer to the source of the light and didn't bother to look where she was going and tripped over a branch, breaking it in the process, catching herself on a tree so she wouldn't fall.

She realized that the person in the light turned around, probably startled by her clumsiness, "Eh...sorry 'bout that." She kind of laughed, regaining her composure.

Alex noticed a girl behind him as she spoke he smiled and laughed to himself for being so stupid "It's fine, it's pretty dangerous down here at night" He smiled, he could feel his heart thumping where she had made him jump, he stood up and wandered over to her "You can join me by the fire if you want, it's warmer " He beamed at her, his eyes glistening.

Jess shrugged,"Naw, not if you're careful. I'm just a freaking clutz and have to trip over everything." She smiled back, making sure to hold his gaze. He wasn't that bad looking, but it was hard to tell due to the lack of light though. "That's an idea, it is rather chilly out here." She took in the fact that he wasn't as tall as some of the other guys she had seen around. He looked maybe around five seven, maybe five eight. But it was rather refreshing to have someone that she didn't have to totally strain her neck to talk to to hang around. He looked too old to be a student though, "I take it that you're not a student, what are you doing here this late?

Alex held her gaze she was beautiful , "Yeah come on" He said grabbing her hand and starting to pull her over to the fire, he was getting cold. He laughed a little at her next comment "No i'm not anymore, used to be though, and i'm just wandering around getting into trouble you know the usual guys stuff, what about you? A girl of your beauty isn't normally one to stay about late " he turned and winked at her, he left go of her hand and sat back next to the fire and warmed his hands

Jess couldn't help but let out a little laugh, his hands were rather warm, but that was probably because he was sitting by the fire before she interrupted him. "Ah, so how old are you then? I don't remember you being in my year." she commented sitting down. "Girls of my beauty usually work the streets about this time." She smirked checking her invisible watch. Of course she was only joking, those chicks needed a life...or to find one of those gross guys to pay them every week so they wouldn't have to keep going out. Jess shrugged,"Mcgonogal(sp) had sent me an owl telling me my stupid son was acting up again. Apparently his head of house wasn't going to do anything about it. Not like it matters, Slytherins get away with everything when it comes to their head of house."

Alex smiled "I left a little while back, and you see I wouldn't know, I don't pick up just any girl" He smiled and winked then he stopped smiling "Wait, your still at school and you have a kid here already? Wow, the guy your with is lucky" He whistled in a appreciative manner as if to say well done there.

"I guess that explains it then."She shrugged,"Oh, you like high class don't you? Like a sugar mama." she grinned. That was always the way to go. She liked having sugar daddies, so of course guys would probably love sugar mamas. "No way! I graduated years ago."she laughed,"Guy? I'm with?" she tried to hold in a laugh, Rave was no way near a man...just a brooding teenager at heart. "He's strictly a love child. No man in the picture." She stuck her tounge out in disgust. No offence to Rave, but he wasn't exactly the best father, then again she wasn't the best of mothers.

Alex laughed " Sugar mama? I guess that would work, but no I like girls who like me, well i'm easy really I don't mind much, no man in the picture hey? Gives me a chance "He laughed he was only joking but he didn't know how the girl would take it "The name's Alex by the way,and your is?" He asked

"You have to admit that those can come in handy." she grinned,"well they do like you to some extent if they're willing to dine you with things. Whoreing yourself isn't so bad." she giggled, picking up a random stick and poking the fire. She glanced at him briefly,"You might." she said, only half kidding. She wasn't the type to really be in relationships...fun dates every once in a while were enough. "You can call me Jess, Alex...that's a nice name. I like that name."

Alex laughed a little "Thank you Jess, your name's just as beautiful as you" He stuck his tongue out at her in a playful manner.

Jess laughed a little,"Why thank you, but my name could also go for a guys name too." She turned away from him and looked at the fire. The flames were dancing, it was rather pretty. The wind kept blowing, whipping around her hair in all diffrent directions. That was the only downside of having long hair. Most people thought that her hair had extensions in it, but her hair was real and was only gut a certain way. That's how she prefered it and really didn't care what others thought about it. She was content with it, so everyone else could just shove it.

She really hadn't changed all that much since she was seventeen. Yeah, she had to grow up a little bit but she still had that whole 'fuck the world' attitude. It's not that she hated everyone, she actually loved people, they were rather intertaining, she just hated the way that some people preceived her. They could be so judgemental and that's one thing she hated. In some ways she really didn't care, but in others it really bothered her that there were idiots out there more concerned about her wardrobe than something really important.

"Yeah but there's no way I could mistake you for a guy" Alex laughed and layed back looking at the stars in the sky the light from the fire dancing aross his face.

Jess laughed a little,"I'm flattered." she'd be surprised if anyone had ever mitaken her for a guy. She just screamed girl, every aspect of her did. She'd never seen a guy with her length of hair in her style and cut. Her body definately didn't resemble a guy. She was a full on female.

Alex laughed slightly "So you should be, I don't go and dish out compliments to any random girl" He turned his head and smiled at her, She looks beautiful in this light Alex thought to himself.
