For years we humans were kept in the dark from those we thought didn't exist. How could they? They, after all, were only fictional characters in books. They didn't exist in our minds, they couldn't, it was impossible. We weren't ready for them, and I don't believe we would ever have been.
It was around the year 2008 that the creatures started to make themselves known. At first, we thought the murders were mimics of how a few of these creatures, these vampires killed. Then we started to notice that it wasn't only vampires that were mimicked, but werewolves, as well.
The government had called the murders a hoax, a copy cat serial killer, but the community - no the nation knew better than that. At least, a few of us had - I would like to think. Now, that doesn't mean I'm trying to say that theses creatures of the night, and day, took over, because that's not what happened.
What happened, exactly, was the government got greedy. They knew that with having these creatures on our side, in our armies, that we would be unstoppable against anyone. However, many people were against the very idea. Especially when it was made clear that the government wasn't going to do anything about the obvious murders.
That's when hunters started showing up and killing those they believed to be evil. Not only that, but another species slipped from the shadows, as well. We call them mutants. They are humans, but with a twist - they have powers. No one knows how all of these things came to exist, but one thing is for sure. Most, if not everyone, wants them gone. The hunters have their own reasons for going after the creatures, but they don't take into account that not all are the same.
Some wish to co-exist with us, and I, for one, believe that they deserve a solid chance. Who I am is not of importance, but one thing is for sure, I created this school for the sole purpose to try and help humans and the supernatural alike to co-exist. I can only hope that one day, my dream becomes that of reality.
Raven Hill was created to show those of the world that not all vampires, werewolves and mutants are evil. Humans, after all, have no rights to judge them. As we have our own guilt to carry arond. It is with my last breath, that I give you - the students - my last wish: Remain true to the school's code.
Let not our fear cloud our judgment, but let our hearts guide us to a better tomorrow. So that we may create a better world, a better future.

"She didn't know the dangers her dream would create..."
With the school opening in early 2012, many creatures and humans alike applied to the school in hopes that they could make Patricia Stanton's dream a reality. No one knew that it would do the exact opposite, it couldn't have been foreseen.
Humans fight to fit in, and those around us fight to control their hunger. The school was made in hopes to bring us together, to unite us as one. But, Patricia Stanton had no idea that it would only cause a larger gap between us.
Some of us get along, while others are hellbent on destroying those different from them. In this school, only those with wit and those that are fit survive.
