Ebony stepped on the black mat and the door automatically opened in front of her. Her eyes widened and she looked around her, the door stayed open and she could feel the breezy cool air from inside hitting her face. Weird muggles and their inventions, she didn't get the whole point of doors sliding open. They could always just pull the handle. Ebony walked into the store, Bottom Dollar Food, the closest muggle store she could find. She didn't want to be here but precious Rosaline just needs to have milk in the morning. What the hell? She's not even a baby anymore and the girl craves warm milk. Ebony groaned pulling her old blue hat off her head and stuffing it in her bag. It wasn't like anyone was going to recognize her.
The store was very cold, Ebony had on sweats and a sweater with a snake on it and she was still freezing over here. She didn't like coming to stores looking like this but it wasn't like she was going to befriend these muggles. Ebony looked up for the aisle sign that read dairy products or milk, she found it way at the end of the store and she quickly walked looking down at the white gallons. Since when was milk divided into categories such as 100% whole and 1% fat? She was now really confused onto which kind to get. "What the hell?" She murmured rolling her eyes and getting the gallon with the pink wrap. She headed over to the registers and waited patiently behind a middle aged woman with three kids. One who sitting in the basket and the other two who were teasing her through the metal.
The people before the woman were taking literally forever to just get all their groceries paid for by some card. Ebony groaned rolling her eyes as she looked back down at the little girl who was tugging on her Mother's shirt and pointing to the candy. Her Mother was repeatedly shaking her head but that certainly did not stop the young child from making weird facial expressions and whining. Ebony sighed, obviously annoyed and shook her head leaving her place in line and heading to the very last register. The one that had peace and quiet. She once again waited behind an old woman who was slowly setting her groceries on the black belt that moved the item closer to the worker.
Ebony shifted her weight to the left side of her body and began to tap her right foot. Muggles were the slowest creatures on this planet and Ebony took that in as a fact. A well proven fact. She sighed, again, while running a hand through her hair and closing her eyes for a slight moment. Ebony finally set the milk down on the black belt after the old woman's items moved up a few.
