"No problem," I laugh slightly, hugging her lightly back, then watching her head down the hall. Glancing over my shoulder at Vi once more, I try and decide whether it'd be more or less responsible to stay away from the rest of the kids and just stay here, before reminding myself not to be so much of a coward and heading down the stairs.

Jessie was sitting on the couch, flipping the channels as she notices Ian walking down the steps. "What are you doing here?" she asks in a snobby tone.
If she hated Shell, she wasn't going to be too fond of Ian. "Please tell me you and Ruby weren't 'talking' upstairs like before." she mutters looking back to the television. She purposely called her that, just to get on her nerves. The only time she'd be nice to her was when her father was around.

"Ah Jessie, my favourite Chou," I reply under my breath, not much caring if she heard or not. I try and be as polite as I can to her, but I don't like the way she talks about Shell. I frequently have to remind myself that she's a child and I can't be too rude to her.
"Just the usual talking, you know, without the quotation marks," I roll my eyes slightly, leaning my shoulder against the doorframe but not actually going in, "Where's everyone else?"

She smirks lightly, glancing over at him with a raise of her eyebrows. "Right. I'm sure I'm your favorite Chou. Last time I checked it was Ruby, but oh well." she says sitting up.
"Doubt it. Still has a thing for you she does. But she says that nothing will happen. Anyway, why should I tell you? You're the babysitter not me." she smirks again, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Thank you for your excellent viewpoint, I refuse to get into a discussion about this again," I reply. I'm not sure if she says things like that to try and get Shell in trouble or to make me feel awkward, but she definitely succeeds with the latter.
"Thanks for all your help, Jessie. Truly, you are a model humanitarian," I remark dryly, turning to head into the kitchen instead because I'm pretty sure that at least one of them came in here to clean up the mess and I can hope that at least someone who's more helpful is around here.

"Anytime Ian, You know where the house is obviously for more than one reason." she calls with a smile on her face.
"I'm never having kids. I swear it." Isaiah mutters, finally finishing up the kitchen and leaning against the counter. "Oh hey Ian. Did you want something to eat or what?" he asks instantly heading for the fridge.

I flip her off behind my back as soon as I'm out of her line of vision, which makes me feel a little better about getting verbally beaten by a teenager. "No, I'm fine Isaiah," I shake my head, smiling a little just because I've found someone marginally friendlier, "Your Mum's just gone to get some sleep, so I'm supposed to be watching you all, I guess."

Isaiah smiles faintly and leans against the counter again. "Good, she's been up all week. She wouldn't listen to me or Ashlyn when we tell her to go to bed. What did you say to convince her? I need to take notes." he sarcastically says.
Isaiah was the splitting image of Nick, except a few inches shorter, seeing as he was about fourteen. "How are you lately?"

I laugh slightly, "Just got lucky, I guess." I suppose I quite like Isaiah, more than Jessie definitely. And I feel bad for him on occasion being one of the only boys out of all these children.
"I'm alright," I answer with a small shrug, "How've you been?"

"Lucky indeed. She's crazy, but I didn't say that." he says with a grin before turning around and taking an apple out of the bowl on the counter. "Got a quidditch match coming up soon, been watching the younger kids lately and I fixed the sink without magic. That was actually fun."

"Who are you playing against?" I ask, mostly out of interest. Poppy's still pissed off at me for saying she couldn't try out for quidditch. It's just asking for her to get herself injured or killed though, seeing as she can't concentrate on anything for more than a few seconds. "Without magic? You're getting a little too clever, Isaiah,'" I shake my head with a small laugh.

"Gryffindor." he beams. Like Shell, he played keeper mostly to keep the tradition alive as he was the thrid generation keeper now. "Practically the entire house at home is either a Raven or a Lion minus my brat older sister, but she's rooting for the Lions. So it's a big game." he nods, chuckling a bit at Ian's comment. "Thanks. But I don't suppose it's a quality that attracts girls now is it?" he says with a sigh. Despite his decent looks, his bookworm self usually made girls avoid him at school.

"Good luck to you then," I laugh slightly. I tend to stay out of commenting on any matters that don't involve my own house, and I'm not exactly biased in favour of Slytherin anyway.
"You'll attract the smart girls when they realise that the dumb guys are pricks," I shrug slightly, "You've got a good hand to play, not that you have to worry yet. You're what? Fourteen now?"

"Thanks." he says taking a bite out of the apple before nodding slightly at Ian's next comment. "True, but what of that saying, nice guys finish last?" he says with a sigh. "And yes I'm fourteen, almost fifteen.

"Nice guys finish last," I tilt my head slightly as I contemplate this, "Bollocks, I reckon. Just keep going as you are, because if you try and compromise to attract girls, you're just going to attract the wrong sort and that's pointless." I pause after that, deciding the conversation might be getting a little too heavy and I'm not very good with advice and really don't want to end up steering him wrong, and just shrug again.

"Thanks Ian. Wait, when have you ever given advice?" he asks with a grin on his face, as Liese walks in. "Hi Uncle Ian." she says as her brown hair swings over her shoulder as she hugs his legs.

"This would be the first time, so you know, don't listen," I grin back. "Hey Liese," I smile, as she hugs my legs, "Where've you been?"

Isaiah laughs a bit and takes another bite of the apple. "I was playing with James. He's such a boy and doesn't want to play with my dolls. I wish I had a sister around my age." "No more sisters please." Isaiah mumbles, putting a hand through his hair.

"Well, what do you play with James instead? I'm sure it's not so bad." I laugh slightly at Isaiah's comment.

"He always wants to play with trucks or action figures. I said an action figure is the same as a doll, but no. He doesn't care."

Isaiah glares at Ian slightly. "Yeah of course, as does Uncle Ian. He loves to play with dolls."

I laugh slightly at Isaiah's glare, but abruptly stop at what he says. "Well, you can't play dolls with just two people, so I think if I'm going to play, then Isaiah will have to play too."

I click my tongue against the back of my teeth as if I'm irritated by this, but am much more amused, "Alright then."

Isaiah smiles to himself passing by the now empty living room and heads up the stairs again like before. Once reaching the room, he sets his sister down and glances around, grimacing slightly. "I hate you right now." he mutters over to Ian with a faint smile on his face though.

"I guess that makes it even." he says with a laugh, before Liese pulled him over to a chair in the playroom and he sighs. Too many times was he a victim to this game over the years especially in this very room. "I'm not wearing a dress like Vi pouted about last week." he mutters to her before he was handed a blonde doll.
"Here's yours Uncle Ian." she says with a grin, handing him almost the same doll. "I'll be right back."
