That's an utterly ancient joke at this point, and it seems a little weird that he brought it up. I think the last time he did... or the last time I recall anyway... was about seven years ago when I got teased incessantly for going back on my word and falling in love, and he tried to insist that I lost our other bets as well. I don't even remember the third.

I chuckled a little and then nodded. "Well, some sort of cute one... sort of narrows it down." I nodded slightly. "And... I dunno really, just popped in my head." I shrugged lighlty still smiling. "I was gonna say that they're real.. but the joke's kind of dead now I guess..."

"Dead, dried up, stomped on and buried," I nod, then shake my head, laughing slightly. "If it makes you feel better though, I'll concede that Melody's some sort of cute, imaginary monkey. Because she isn't quite like any real ones I know of."

I laughed slighty back and nodded. "That it is.." I smiled, looking back over to her when she started speaking again and laughed a little more. "Okay.. yeah, sort of makes me feel better I guess. For reasons I'm not sure of.." I smiled softly. "That woul be odd if she were a real monkey."

Hyper might possibly be my least favorite state of being in children, second only to depressed 'cause that's just wrong. But hyper is exhausting.
