Shell was sitting on the entrance staircase reading the Daily Prophet, shaking her head at the random gossip stories. The one that caught her eye was about how the Dark Ruby was back on the move. "I guess that's what I get for dying my hair..." she sighs, as a new brown curl moved from her face.
Crossing her left leg over her right knee, she leaned against the archway in her favorite white dress with a huge brown belt around her right under her chest. Classes were to start up again in a month and she couldn't wait. She needed something to distract her today and with no students or any other teachers around, it was sorta pointless to come here today.
Shell stands up after a few minutes in her brown high heels and walks up the steps to the third floor hearing her shoes echoing in the halls she sighs glancing around, not seeing a ghost or even Peeves. "Maybe I should have gone to the grounds instead." she says softly, glancing back at her newspaper in her hands.

I'd been looking around for Zoe with a lot of no luck, but I supose that is quite understandable for barely knowing the girl. I only met her really when I found out I was a father, she remembers that we'd gotten together and all of that. So there would be no finding the girl that currently had my daughter and really, it was kind of depressing. I'd thought things over, decided that it'd be idiotic to leave the baby with her and her bloody well insane family.
Next thing to finding my daughter and her mother, would be the grandmother, someone who I have a good idea where to look for. Well, unless for once she's decided to not be in the school, but to rather have stayed at home. That's why I was here. To find my daughter.
So far I'd gone through the school once, gone through the grounds and now I was back in the school with another sigh, I think I was planning on pacing the place until I found either Shelby, or Zoe, not sure who I'd rather. Hearing a voice, distant footsteps I started down the stairs towards them, having been on the fourth floor and went down to the third, at the end of the staircase, the begining of the hallway, I stopped short, seeing the one person I really didn't want to see, but at the same time did, and started deciding whether or not to go back or ask where my daughter was. The best I came up with was a sigh and staying where I was.

Shell turns around and notices Mason was at the end of the hallway. Great, just what you need on top of everything else. Your daughter might be leaving home, you might be pregnant and now wizards, witches and even muggle might be after you.
She sighs not even bothering to go and talk to him. If he wasn't going to be civil about this, merlin's beard knew if she could keep her temper long enough not to jinx or hex the kid. Instead, she fiddles with her curls some before turning back to her newspaper, simply leaning against the wall reading further down the article of what to look for and the old photo of her. It was really sad acutually. The picture as well as the description had to be about sixteen years or more old by now. [/blockquote]

She noticed me, there was that at least, so I can't well have to bloody well say she full out ignored him, just after noticing he was there. Still, despite the fact that I don't want to see her, that I hate her more than I thought I could, I started walking towards her, mentally yelling at myself to just turn back and ignore the whole bloody thing.
The woman not once glanced up, but rather continued to read the article, that he noticed as he got closer, to be about her and raised an eyebrow at the newspaper before moving his gaze towards her. "Where's my daughter?" I asked after a moment of silence, not wanting to stay around her much longer, not really at least. That and she'd have to tell me, if not show me where Kalin was, she told me that I was going to be helping in raising the girl, and I was going to, all I needed was to be able to see her and hopefully be able to take care of her every so often without having to hang around their bloody family.
There is still hope for Kalin though, I may not be the greatest, but I am sure not as mad as the grandmum or the mum, not in the least.

Shell continues to read until they said she was about the age of twenty four. Wow, ministry workers are so smart nowadays aren't they. Just like our children, speak of which... "Hello Bradley. She will be with Zoe who is at my house but she said she was going to pick out some clothes and things with her and my eldest daughter, so I have no idea where they could be." she nods truthfully, just watching the picture of her move around with a glare and a wicked smile when she was under the imperious curse.
"Is that all you wanted or did you want something else?" she asks raising an eyebrow before finally looking up at him. "Maybe a lesson about Pureblood and why it doesn't matter?" she asks again with a straight face but on the inside she had a similar smirk plastered to her right now.

Mason ignored the fact that she wouldn't even call him by his first name, or his somewhat tollerable middle name, but rather resorted to last name. "Dunno how to get to your house, and that's not very helpful." I said, glaring at her as she watched a picture. "I'll just pick her up when they're done with whatever." I said, smirking a little, really doubtful she'd much approve of that idea, even if she said I had to take part in raising Kalin.
"Right, because I want to talk to you and all so bad professor." I said, rolling my eyes as she finally looked up. "No one here to teach that to." I said, shrugging my shoulders lightly, still not planning on telling her why I insisted so much on keeping my parents out of this and staying with them.

Shell glances up but her expression doesn't falter a bit. "Yeah... right. You'll have to talk to Zoe about that one. It's not my decision, but I don't she'll let you take Kalin." she says raising an eyebrow at him a bit. "And if you care so much, you could figure out the way to my house. After all, I'm not her mother, Zoe is. You should speak with her."
Shell shakes her head a bit before turning the paper over so he could see the front page as she read about some break in at Gringotts again and it being a false alarm as usual. "Well there must be a reason why you continue to stare there and I know it's not because you want my autograph or anything like that." she says in a bland tone, glancing up at him slightly. "Oh, I'm sure that I can find a person easily to teach that to. Why are you so reluctant about your parents finding out anyway?"

"Right, well if she wants any help with the money, not to have to go to court and argue over custody, I'm sure she'd love to let me take our daughter every other week." I said, shrugging a little, slightly surprised she didn't object, not directly at least. "I would talk to her, if I ever saw her." I said. "And if she ever wanted to speak to me, not my fault the woman bloody well hates me." I added, rolling my eyes a little. Actually it was my fault, but that was only because of how I was acting towards her.
"Right, well you're very well mistaken. I do want to find my daughter, and I'm sure you know where you live, at least, gosh, I hope you do." I said, shrugging a little. "That's all I came to see you about, still waiting." I added, ignoring her tone again, just like I wanted so very well to be able to ignore her, avoid her, hit her, and so many other things. "If you really want to know I'm sure you'd find away to figure it out." I said, basically repeating her on that part.

Once again, Shell just stands there raising an eyebrow at him. "This isn't my battle, it's yours and Zoe's. So quit lecturing me about what you are or what you won't do." she says with a sigh, shaking her head at him slightly.
"Still waiting? Are you waiting for me to do a trick or to give you an early start on detention if you continue to talk to me that way? And as for your parent situation. I'm sure you're the exceptional pureblood, not wanting to marry your cousin, or you secretly associate outside your house and talk to non-purebloods. Along with that, you want control of your life not wanting to worry about things like that. But on the other hand you want to still have financial support and your parents by your side cause you have nothing else. Am I right?" she asks plainly, as she opened the newspaper now instead still with the blank expression.

"Well then the only way you're getting out of it is if I can actually find her once in a while, and you know you can bloody well help me with that." I said, watching her. "I just want to see my daughter." I sighed softly, ready to give up on trying to talk to her and trying to find Zoe, because there is no way I'm going to get to see my daughter and keep her on the occasion.
"Right, detention, that's what I wanted. Is it going to get me to see Zoe or my daughter?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, still keeping up with that. "No, you think you know, but you don't. You're right on most of it." I said, shaking my head, ready to hit something, maybe punch the wall, hopefully break a knuckle or two so I won't have to deal with this directly. "They're not going to disown me, not when I'm the last bloody resort, unless this comes up, I can garuntee this will be the only thing." I said, sighing. "I want to get away from them. I just also want to help raise Kalin, and I need money to do that. Screw everything else." I muttered, starting to walk back down the hallway from where I had started in from. So much for being help, all she did was stare at a newspaper and start saying things like she knew it all.

Shell sighs watching him walk away. "Wait. Come here. If you promise to quit acting like a jerk and actually respect me seeing as oh, I'm pretty much your only connection to your daughter I can take you to my house." she says glancing at him with a faint frown on her face. It was the last thing she wanted to do right now, but if he was going to actually help her then fine. She would help until Zoe said otherwise.
"So, you think I don't know... what do you call this then?" she asks with a raised eyebrow and a 'are you kidding me face' once she showed her Dark Ruby photo. "I think I know well enough, thanks." she says folding up the paper and holding it in her left hand. "If you want to come we can discuss more about how you can get away from them and still manage to pay for Kalin." she says crossing her arms lightly letting out a sigh. Shell's only other idea as of now was to actually use her pureblood tactics and be polite and see if she could get results. If that's how he was raised, then it should be effective.

"Oh, but a minute ago you didn't seem to want to help much." I said, turning around anyways, crossing my arms loosely across my chest as I watched her. I didn't believe that she was going to bring me to her house so that I could see my daughter, it just didn't seem like anything she'd do, especially since I've said that I was going to take her with me, at least for a week, and if not that fight for full custody, which I probably would get seeing as I'm an adult now.
"And I meant differently then that." I said, rolling my eyes, like I cared if she used to be the 'Dark Ruby' or some stupid stuff as that. "I think you don't quite know since you couldn't even guess it all right, so there." I said, shaking my head. "Come where?" Don't go with the crazy lady Mason. Just find another bloody way.

It took everything she had right now not to hit him across the face. Instead she smiles politely and tilts her head to the side. "Are you coming or not? Like I said, Zoe is hard to keep track of and she comes home quite often. So it's either you run around and try to find her or come with me and wait it out." she says softly still standing there.
"Trust me Mason, I had it way worse than you did, but enough of that for now. "I just said my house... where else would we go? To the Muggle World or for a swim?" she sighs, shaking her head at his ignorance. No wonder she could never tolerate purebloods and why she never associated with ones like this.

"I want to see my daughter, so why wouldn't I be coming?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. I didn't care if she was acting even the slightest bit better, I still hated her and wasn't going to treat her any differently then I was already.
"I'm not bloody well complaining." I said in an exhausted tone, rolling my eyes slightly. "Well you never know, you could be having a barbeque in your office." I muttered, stepping a little closer, it's not like I said I wasn't coming. I'd practically begged her to tell me where she lived or where my daughter and Zoe was. Well, sort of.

Shell nods, ignoring the rest that he said before heading towards the stairs and down to the entrance hall and past to the grounds, taking a good twenty minutes. Stubborn kid. You complain one second and then take back what you just said... "Alright as much as you hate me, we're apparating. You do have your license for that right?" she asks with a sigh before finding that polite smile again as she looked up at him. "Actually, you don't know where you're going so you have to hold my hand..." Unfortunately...

I followed after Shelby, wondering why exactly when we both hated eachother, she could be killing me off for Zoe or something stupid, didn't seem likely she was going to help, so that's what I was going with. I'm going to die.
I'm going to die in a few minutes.
"Course I do." I said, rolling my eyes at her, it occuring at around the same time for her as it was to me that we'd have to go together anyways because I haven't the slightly idea of where to go. "Bloody fucking hell." I muttered. Kalin better thank me for this one day, either that or grow up without her real dad.

Shell rolls her eyes and grabs his hand, apparating them to her house. "Alright, this is where we live." she says dropping his hand as if she accidently leaned her hand on a hotplate. Shell opens the door and notices Jenny, Isaiah, Violet, Liese, Jake and James sitting on the couch. Jenny grins until she notices Mason, as does Isaiah.
"Well that's half of my kids, the other five around around here somewhere or they're off doing something." she laughs mostly to herself. She could never be negative around her kids, never could never would. Jenny walks over and nods at Mason. "Dori and Theo are upstairs, Ashlyn went off with her boyfriend, and Jessie went with Zoe instead." she smiles before brushing off her black dress with white polka dots.
Shell walks into the dining room changing her clothes with her wand and coming back out with her curls pulled back, blue t-shirt and a pair of capris. "I know this isn't anywhere close to your home, but make yourself at home or you can look around I suppose. Jenny walk around with him will you? I'm going to cook dinner." With that Jenny sighs glancing at Mason again waiting to see what he was going to do.

If it wasn't for the fact that we were apparating, I would've pulled my hand away from her. As soon as we were infront of a house I ripped my hand back at the moment she happened to drop it, letting a disgusted sigh pass my lips. Although I think she had it for a short while to long. "Hope you don't mind if I start showing up every once in a while." I muttered, unless Zoe gets out of this house, then I think I may have to take up stalking as a job instead.
I walked in, smirking slightly as I watched a couple grins drop from the faces as they saw me and moved a hand to mess my hair up after a moment before taking it back. "Right, why do you have so many?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. I could understand one or two at most, but as many as she had. Jenny came over and nodded in my direction and I just rolled my eyes. I'd seen her around school, had her in a few classes, didn't bloody well care for her as it was.
Shelby left as I looked around from where I was standing, not having had moved an inch from where I stopped when I had stepped in. She came back and I honestly didn't notice she changed her clothes, nor would I have cared. Hearing her speak I rolled my eyes again. Right, make myself at home. I thought bitterly as she left the room. "Right." I muttered, glaring in the direction she went.

"Because Mason, some people like big families, and this is an example of one of those." she says knowing he had to make a remark or some kind of rude gesture if Jenny stuck up for her. She would never do that unless it was something she herself didn't approve of.
Jenny glares at him slightly, shaking her head but manages a smile. "I'm sorry, but I don't take lightly to you insulting my mother, especially in her own house. Now do you want to see where Kalin is living or not?" she asks with a sigh as Isaiah walks over with a straight face similiar to his mothers. "I'm Isaiah Henderson, played you a few times. I'm on the Ravenclaw team." he nods, extending his hand towards him to be polite. [/blockquote]

"Whatever I just want to see my daughter." I muttered under my breath. Really I was wondering if I had to die to make her a lot less, well, rude maybe? Then again, it could be me.
I looked at Jenny as she glared and raised an eyebrow when she smiled, almost wanting to laugh, especially when she said she didn't take lightly to me insulting her mum. I'd actually only said right and glared, not my fault if some took it as an insult, especially if they're doing the same back. "Sure." I muttered softly, wondering if in this household there was someone not in the Slytherin house that truely didn't belong there, then seeing another one walk up, sort of recognizing him. Could be the fact that I've seen so much of his mum lately. "Mason Jay." I said, shaking his hand, glad someone could decently be polite, at least hide what he was thinking. "What position?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, wondering why I was asking.

Jenny glances at him and walks off into the kitchen. As much as she hated it, she was turning more and more into Shelby.
Isaiah watches his older sister walk off and turns back to Mason. "I'm a keeper, like my mum. It sorta runs in the family." he nods with a faint smile. "So, do you want the tour or would you rather get attacked my younger siblings?" he asks teasingly looking his shoulder at the curious faces. "Just cause he's a slytherin doesn't mean he's gonna hurt you." he sighs watching Vi practically jump off the couch and run over.
"Hi, I'm Violet Chou. I wanna be in Slytherin like my da. I'll be the one though in the family I think though." she shrugs but tosses her blonde curls over her shoulder with a smile. Isaiah laughs a bit as James walks over.
"Hi snake man." he grins with his blue eyes and laughs, making Isaiah smile a tad as he picks up him. "Doesn't mean anything by it. We just call the houses by their symbol. Ravens and Lions mostly dominate here." he explains as he points at a photo of his mum and Jay sitting in their house colors laughing and waving at the camera. "Mum isn't that bad as long as you're nice to her. She'll come around."

[Jenny went off into the kitchen, and frankly I was glad, never much cared for her, she was one of the few who didn't get picked to be a Slytherin and really belonged there, in my opinion.
"Keeper's good." I said with a small nod, still keeping how much I said pretty low. One, I didn't much care to be here, two I only wanted to see my daughter. "Tour works, though the other's just going to happen, isn't it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, saying a longer sentence that time instead of trying to keep it one and two words. I sighed softly, though shook my head a little, a small smile on my face from what he said.
Looking over at the new member that seem to join the small gathering I nodded a little. "Mason Jay." I repeated, wondering if I'd repeat it for each time I met one of my odd professors kids. I nodded a little at what she said, though not commenting. I had personal views on that, and well, didn't seem like her dad was around, so I wasn't going to come between her and her memory of her dad.
I laughed faintly at that. "Which house you planning to be in then?" I asked after Isaiah's explanation and apology for the little kid. "Don't think she plans on coming around this time." I muttered, looking away from everyone after saying that.

Isaiah nods slightly with a smile still on his face. It made him proud be first off be in the same house as his parents along with following the quidditch influence as well. "Most likely. The other red head on the couch is Annaliese, and that's Jake. he nods a bit off to the side.
Vi waves at Mason and walks off into the kitchen as well, before James grins ear to ear. "I wanna be a lion like my da was." he says with a laugh afterwards. Isaiah smiles down at him after he said that. "See? Like I said. Those two over there want to be ravens like me, Ashlyn and Dori. The lions are James, Julia, Jessie and well Zoe. Jenny and Vi are the oddballs." he says with a laugh once he put James back down and watched him run off and Isaiah started up the stairs.
"So tour. If you haven't noticed, none of our fathers besides Jake's are actually either alive or here, but Draven has been gone for a while. Haven't seen him either. My father never pays for a thing, Jenny's father is dead along with the Chou's. And Vi's is off somewhere. He just left. So mum has pretty much raised us all on her own with Jay's help, money wise but she pretty much raised us. He just died a year ago or so..." he says softly. That was his only fatherly figure in his life for thirteen years and it really bothered him still.

I nodded, looking back at them, wondering what exactly it was like to be in their shoes, knowing it was a hell of a lot easier. I continued nodding when he said something that didn't require a direct answer.
Seeing the one wave, Vi I think, I waved back with a small smile and then let it drop when she was gone. "Lion's are pretty cool." I said, smiling faintly again, and they probably assumed I'd be talking about Zoe, and I laughed inside my head. "Right, tour." I muttered softly, following after Isaiah with a small nod, wondering if this meant that he'd start saying hi in school or something. "Must be hell." I muttered softly, not coming up with much more sympathy than that, wondering if it was to suggest something, doubtin it though.

Isaiah nods a bit before reaching the second floor landing. "Well this is pretty much all of our rooms." he laughs looking around at the painted letters on the doors, most of them being J's. "Mom had to break down the walls and build more rooms. She figured that she could give us almost our own rooms. Most of the girls share. I'll show you the nursery. Mum built it as well." he nods to Mason as he walked past a violet V and a pink A door, then the Double light blue and red J door for the boys followed by another J door that was yellow obviously belonged to Jenny.
He walks into the newly painted pink room, looking around with a smile. "We all grew up in here. Jenny through James. When there was a boy though she would paint two of the walls light blue." he smiles looking at the baby pictures on the wall of Shelby growing from fourteen all the way up to twenty eight with each of them in her arms. When he caught eye of Hope and Holly's then Zach followed by Sam and Vi he sighs, biting his lip. "Mum lost four of her kids, due to deatheaters." Isaiah says before glancing at the new lime green K on the wall followed by his mother's writing of cursive, the same color 'alin'. "We each get a color. I'm guessing that's for Kalin." he nods with a smile. "Mine's dark blue." Isaiah adds with a grin.

I followed him up, glancing around the place as we got to the top of the second landing and I looked at the doors, shaking my head slightly and then nodding a little, hating that I was so quiet, but dealing with it. "Cool." I said, not really paying attention unti lI heard him say nursery in a sentence, deciding to start paying attention now. "Alright." I said, shrugging lightly as we walked, barely sparing a glance to all of the doors, seeing letters and pointing out who the room belonged to by memory.
Looking around the room I saw that it was pink and almost turned around to leave and wait for Zoe and Kalin, but I stayed, trying to not focus so much on the pink. I only nodded this time, glancing at the pictures that happened to be hanging, finding a picture that looked familiar to the one that Shelby had showed me in the profit, knowing that it was her and shook my head lightly, hearing his next words and having a sharp intake of breath at that, though it was more out of saying, ouch, than I was just stabbed and ah, it hurts. "Ouch." I muttered, shaking my head lightly. Personally I'm starting to think that he's throwing out a few extra things that really don't need to be said because I'm not coming around very often unless it's to pick up or drop of Kalin. "Cool." I murmured, feigning interest now.

"Yeah, sorta stings more when Jenny and I tried to get her away from them, and she was Jenny's godmum. Mum thought she could trust her, obviously not. So anyway, that's where she'll stay. I think you'll be in there alot." he nods walking out and walking around the other side of doors. "I know you probably don't care but this is everyone's favorite photos." he says softly looking at the first one that had the four deceased kids in it along with everyone else but James and Jake pretty much. The bottom was taken last year before Jay died. "I know she's acting very bitter about this, but you sorta have to see things from both sides of the glass you know?" Isaiah says before walking past a photo of just Shell grinning ear to ear with Jenny, but she was still pregnant. "Well, now I guess you can get attacked by the Chou Army." he grins as he walks down the steps.
Shell was sitting on the couch now, letting Liese braid her hair as she was brushing Vi's. "You show him the house Izzy?" she asks giving Mason and him a light smile. Right now Shell didn't care if he was there or not. She was spending time with the kids, as Jenny was laying in the floor with the boys playing with little muggle toy cars. "It's hectic, but it's made us stronger. Especially mum and Jenny." he nods to him as he leaned against the banister watching them all with a grin.

And now that he said that I really didn't know how to answer, so I nodded, biting my lip faintly. "Probably." I muttered softly as I followed the Ravenclaw out. Really that says they really don't plan on giving me any sort of custody. "So long as Zoe let's me." I added, shaking my head a little. Hearing him again I nodded until he said I had to see things from both sides of the glass. "Has anyone seen it from my side?" I asked, raising an eyebrow in his direction, more wanting to ask if he had even bothered and put that on him, but really, why not include everyone on this part.
I sighed softly, though I followed him down the steps, seeing Shell and some of the kids, though I didn't care about the Professor. I only nodded and looked around again, doubting she'd care at the moment. "Right." I said, hardly listened and just leaned against one of the walls.

Isaiah sighs lightly, leaning against the wall. "Well, you really haven't been talkative. So what is your side then Mason?" he asks standing there before giving him a nod to go ahead and explain himself. This was his chance to tell his story but if he wasn't going to tell then he was just going to take Zoe's.
Shell turns around and walks over to Mason with a faint smile. "Are you going to stay for dinner or are you going to sulk on the wall?" she asks looking up at him as Isaiah laughs a bit. Jenny laughs as well before walking over and looking at Mason as well. "I think he's too chicken to brave a dinner with our family, even if he is family in a way now."

"You weren't going to ask until I pointed it out." I said, shaking my head with a small smirk, now not going to bother with it. "Ask your mum if you want to find out, though I doubt it'll be accurate." I added, doubting he was going to ask for my sake.
"I could do either Professor." I said, shrugging as I raised an eyebrow towards her. I wasn't going to call her anything else from now on, not unless she wanted me too, and even then it wouldn't be a pleasent name, or names if I did.
