It was a warm and sunny day out and not really having anything to do I walked out to the lake. After sitting down at the edge of water, I rolled up my pant legs and scooted slightly closer to the water before putting the lower half of my legs and my feet in it. It was felt cool against my skin and after just walking around for a while, felt pretty nice to just sit there.
I hadn't really been doing anything lately. At least nothing much except hanging around with Jay.. Who I really needed a nickname for. I didn't know why, but it was weird calling him Mason or Jay.. but I did anyway just becuase of lack of being able to think. He was fun to hang around with... and there was a small chance that I might like him, but I was sure that he didn't like me and I'd rather just stay friends anyway. It was just easier that way.
But I wasn't sure where he was today so I didn't really know what to do with myself. That's not a very good sign is it? I shrugged slightly and layed back against the ground with my feet still in the water.
This's kind of boring... I thought to myself as I looked up at the couple clouds in the sky.

{okie dokie  } She had been running for a while now, where was she running to. She really didn't she just knew she had to run. It had been a while since she had last gotten in major trouble. Just like the last time she had gotten in trouble with Filch, she had just been innocently walking by. She was not going to throw slime filled balloons at people that were walking below the stairs. Filch had just mistaken her of doing something she had not been doing. Sure boredom sucks but getting caught with while you were about to attempt was worse or at least she thought it was. Yet again her she was laughing and running away from Filch and his crazy cat. Sooner or later he would finally give up the chase. He wasn't much of a runner to say the least. She look around where she was as her pace had begun to slow. The lake, she couldn't remember the last time she had come to the lake. Especially with all the work she had been stuck with for the past couple of days. Still sort of running she made her way closer to the lake. Not seeing the person who had been sitting there, she practically tripped and landed on her. She quickly picked herself up and tried to laugh off what just had happened. Shaking her head and rubbing her arm she frowned at herself for not being more careful. Now matter what it always seemed like she was tripping over people."Ow, Oh I'm sorry didn't see you there Lana!"She said embarrassed. That was great she run into the Gryffindor girl that she had met not to long ago. it was a brief meeting but she was glad she even remembered the girl's name. |

Really, I was starting to run out of things to think about, and instead of just not thinking, I just kept repeating everything that had already ran across my mind. I was starting to annoy myself and I was really just starting to think I'd rather have someone just come out here and start talking to me. That'd be a good distraction. A good distraction and, not to mention, something to do other than just lay here. I was trying to get Mason off my mind. Mainly because I didn't want to like him. We had a good friendship going on and I couldn't really just ignore the fact that he's getting married.
I heard footsteps not too far away and hoped that maybe whoever it was would stop and come and talk to me. But when I was thinking that, I wasn't thinking that the person running was going to trip over me. I let out a small yell of surprise and lifted myself up partially to find Mel apoligising to me. I smiled and just shook my head at her. "It's okay, Mel." I said with a small laugh, smiling lightly at her. "I'm still alive.. You okay?"

She sat by her with her legs folded. She smiled slightly and laughed still not believing that she had practically ran into her. She shook her head at how clumsy was had been. Of course she over reacted, Filch is probably too old to even try to chase her. Besides he would probably end up sending her an owl telling her the time and place her detention is. She sighed and blew her hair out of her face. She turned to face Lana and smiled."Yeah, I'm fine just....yeah I'm fine.'She grinned."How about you? I like practically ran you over."She rolled her eyes at herself and laughed.

I laughed a little and nodded. "Fine's good then." I said with a small smile to her. She asked me how I was and I shrugged, still smiling. "Yeah, I'm fine.. no harm done with the tripping over me part." I said witha small laugh. "Actually, I was really really bored, so this's good."

She smiled and nodded glad to know that neither of us was badly hurt or injured over my clumsiness and panic over Filch chasing me once again. She began to play with the blades of grass still a bit wired from her escape from Filch's grasp. She tore each blade of grass without even looking at it, just to keep her hands busy."Well you must of been really bored if you think me running you over is good."She joked laughing."So what have you been up too besides being bored?"She asked her,

I laughed lightly and nodded. "Yeah.. well, I needed a distraction." I said with a small smile. "That, and I haven't talked to you in while." I told her with a smile, watching as she tore up some of the grass around her, keeping her hands busy.
"Um.. just kind of hanging around." I smiled with a small nod. Starting to like someone who I can't have... I added in my head, but still not leting my smile falter. "What about you... Besides killing the grass." I said with a soft chuckle.

"Oh, so you've noticed."She laughed as she talked about her killing the grass. "Don't worry I'm sure it will grow in no time...lets just hope it doesn't come back to haunt me."She joked laughing some more. "Oh, yes distractions are good especially when your thinking of something....or someone important...am I right?"She asked curiously. "It's always great to talk to you hun...me well you know the usual escaping from Filch's detentions which I assure you I am innocent."She grinned mischievously.

I laughed lightly at her comment. "Well, I hope not." I said grinning lightly to her. "That'd be.. odd.. and probably sorta creepy." I nodded with another small laugh.
I bit my lip for a second and shrugged a little bit witha small smile on my lips. ".. Yeah.." I said kind of dragging out the word. "You caught me." I smiled with a small nod. "It's a someone."
I laughed a little and nodded. "Right.. what'd you do now.. or what's he think you've done?" I asked her with a small grin, laughing a little more..

She shook her head."Ugh...don't even think about it anymore....I'll have nightmares for weeks."She laughed and shuddered slightly. She looked at her blankly, blinking a couple of times surprised that she had guessed right."Wow....to think that was only a guess."She grinned. "But who is this someone if I may know?"She asked her not wanting to intruded on things that didn't want to be shared. She smiled at her with an innocent look on her face."What? Me capable of doing something as bad as throwing slime filled balloons at passer by from the third floor...me never."She laughed. "Besides....I only had the chance to hit one person."She pouts.

I laughed a little. "Really?" I asked raising my eyebrows faintly to her. "About grass?" I asked agian with a small grin.
"Good guess then." I grinned with a small nod as she asked another quesiton. "Well.. if you spit shake not to tell anyone, I'll tell you." I said witha small grin, laughing a little bit. "It's way more sacred than a pinky swear." I nodded. "At least in my opinion."
I laughed lightly at what she did and nodded. "Wow.. Now that sounds like fun." I grinned with another small nod. "Aw.. Only one? That's a shame, that is."

She nods laughing lightly."Yeah about grass....you never would expect anything of the sort so yeah."She grins and nods at her comment about having a good guess."Why thank you, thank you!"She laughs. "Usually it takes me a while to guess correctly."She shrugs. "Well...of course you didn't even have to ask and the best thing about this.....I probably won't even know the person well unless I know the person that is."She grins.
"Oh yeas it was going to be fun, you should tag along sometime...probably tomorrow...wait I have to get more slime and balloons."She frowns.
"So are we really going to shake hands with spit?"She asks laughing.
