Abbi looked up at her with curious eyes before letting go of her hand and reaching up to her, making small grunts. Sam looked down to her niece and smiled softly before picking her up. Maybe things would just be nice and quiet enough to let them catch up with each other. Maybe. That was never a positive thing when it came to Shelby Crescent. Sam walked to the front door before knocking twice. Abbi reached out a small finger and pressed the button that was supposed to be the door bell and grinned at the noise she heard from inside. Things like that always seemed to fascinate her. Samantha laughed slightly and held the girl close. At least Abigale was something she could actually hold close and trust to always be there.[/ul]

"Mum, the door. Come on it could be someone important." Jenny says in a singing voice carrying a huge grin on her face as she sat at the edge of Shell's bed. "Seri I don't care anymore just go see, alright?" Shell mutters throwing the covers over her messy blonde head. Jenny rolls her eyes and pulls the covers off before picking her mother out of the bed and dragging her down the hall. "So much for relaxation." Shell mumbles, throwing a glare to Jenny at the same time she rose her eyebrows at her. "So what do you call lounging in bed for the past three days mum? Work?" Shell was about to stick her tongue out but her the doorbell now, or at least the broken doorbell. "Coming coming, keep your cloak on." Shell tries to straighten her curls a bit, her red long t-shirt and her blue and red vertical stripped pajama pants. "What do you... no go away." Shell says frowning instantly as Jenny walks up behind her mum and tilts her head out of curiousity. "Ignore her, she's been working." she says sarcastically before walking to the kitchen. Shell sighs and looks to the little girl in Sam's arms. "Well? Shouldn't you be leaving? Don't need trespassers."[/blockquote]

She frowns instantly with her tone. A girl from behind her said something and a smile replaced her lips once more. "Jenny? Wow, she has grown quite a bit." Abigal looks at the woman curiously and leans her head against her aunts shoulder. "And what have I possibly done wrong this time Shelby?" Sam asked, rolling her eyes. How much damaga could she have caused in the five seconds she had been standing there face to face with her? "Come on. Talk to me." She pushed out her lower lip and leaned her head against Abbi's. "Your the first person I thought of to see. Doesn't that count for something?"Abigale frowned at the woman. "Gah?" She clutched Sam tighter as if she would slip from her grasp and buried her head into Sam's shoulder.[/ul]

"Yeah, I know. That's what children do, grow up. She's turning eighteen soon." she nods, feeling her weight being shifted onto her right hip as her right hand sat on top of it.
Shell looks at the little girl once more before raising an eyebrow to Sam. "Yes actually, you showed up on my doorstep. That's what you did. And no it doesn't after our great past Sam. Killing me is still the highlight." she mutters, shutting the door behind her and walks over to the porch swing. "But fine sit down." Shell sighs before sitting on the left side so she could look out over the yard.

She gave a light laugh and shook her head. It sort of made her feel old. Last she saw her, she was still practicing her quidditch that she loved, just like her mother did. Sam ran a tanned hand through her hair and sighed before putting a hand softly over Abbi's ear that wasn't resting on her shoulder. "Honestly, Shelby. I thought we were past that? Ever learned to forgive and forget? That was a long time ago. I think we've both changed since then. Everyone else has forgiven me, now its your turn." She said with a small nod and took her hand off Abbi's ear.[/ul]

Jenny smiles before she walked off. "I know. She's taller than me and still has that smart comment and cunning style about herself." Shell nods lightly to Sam.
"Well of course everyone else has forgiven you. They weren't the ones dead on the kitchen floor Woods." she mutters shaking her head at her. "Ever wonder what would have happened if I didn't come back? I have, so sorta hard to forget that besides the fact that you're a traitor to the order back then. What did you want anyway?"

Samantha sat on the porch swing with her, moving Abbi to her lap. Sam frowned and looked down to her niece, playing with her dirty blonde hair that she carefully brushed this morning. "Who would you rather kill you, me or the Dark Lord himself? I should have just let him do it and spared me a breath or two. Maybe I would actually have everyone's trust completely. Instead I decided to protect your other children, Godric knows what he would have done with them if he was in a bad mood." She didn't realize she was clutching the girl in her arms so hard until Abbi let out a small whimper. Automatically her face softened and she hugged the girl. "I'm the traitor? Honestly, thats a lot coming from the part time Rubalyn. Helping people just wasn't enough. Who in this world has ever helped me?" Sam asked with slight bitterness in her voice. She didn't come here to fight, espeacially not in front of her niece. "Why did I come here? To talk to you. I figured you were at least someone I could trust and talk to calmly. Instead your still sore about something that happened ten years ago! Something I, myself, have thought deeply about and apologized for more than once. And here I thought you were different from the rest of them."[/ul]

"Don't tell her that. She might try to change herself. I really don't see the similarities to be honest. And it's Slayter for now at least." she says but she was slightly bothered remembering that a few other people had told her the same thing.
Shell sighs lightly, "I rather had him do it thanks. Not a person who I trusted more than anything." she says with a bitter laugh. "Protect them? Four of them died due to a deatheater. Whatever says that you wouldn't do the same?' she says softly, trying not to think of the twins, Zach or Sam.
Shell scowls a bit, feeling her eyes narrowing at Sam. "I have no control over that, you know that." she snaps back shaking her head at her. Sitting there for a few minutes she keeps a frown on her face before standing up and walking over to a banister looking at the small lake to the left.
"True, I guess I was always different." she shrugs at herself. "I have forgave you, after hearing about what you did to protect the four of them." she whispers, feeling a tear rolling down her cheek. "I'll thank you for that Sam, even if they're still gone. I can't imagine what he did to you for that. Trying to protect the family that you once broke." [[haha, gave you some drama, sorry. XD]]

She thought for a moment and a smirk crept on to her face. "Shelby, your not being a bad girl are you?""Don't be so melodramatic Shelby. Did you honestly trust me as much as you said you did? And do you honestly believe that I would hurt children? I would never sink that low as to kill a mere child? I'm actually offended you would even think such a thing."Sam tilted her head in thought. "You've got me curious then. Are there ever certain things that maybe triggers your Ruby side? Or are they just random occurences?" She was one interesting character, this Shelby... Ruby... Whoever the hell she was. Samantha sat Abbi down on the swing and went to stand beside Shell. "Like I've said before, I'm sorry and I would do anything for those kids. You know I would." She sighed and rolled her eyes before hugging the woman. "You have no idea. Well you might since you have been what I am, no was." She said quickly patting the womans back before pulling away to look at her face. "Besides, there wasn't much love to break anyway. I think your father has done a good job of all that. Speaking of him, where's he now?" Sam went back over to the swing and put the small girl back in her lap. Abbi clutched her shirt and let out a small sigh.[/ul]

Shell sighs looking at her ring finger. "I'm married to Draven Slayter, but he went off somewhere and so I'm just gonna get a divorce." she nods before raising an eyebrow at her. "What do you mean?" she asks with a frown.
"Well, let's see. You being the godmother to a couple of my children, I would say that I trusted you enough seeing as I gave you custody if something ever did happen to me and I think that's obvious for my answer about if you would kill children or not. It's clearly no I don't think you would."
"Both. Sometimes, she'll take control randomly, but it happens more of when I get majorly upset or angry and I can't handle it. She then takes over cause my shield is down. Or when I'm weak mentally or physically." she says softly with a frown again. "Why does it matter?"
Shell was shocked but felt herself hugging Sam back, deciding to ignore what she said about might knowing how it felt. She still did, but she wasn't going to mention her run ins with Jerami, Jenna or other deatheaters. "He's alright, Briar's sorta dating him... but I've forgave him in a way. It's called smile and bare it to make your best friend happy."
