It had been a while since she had been in Muggle London. She missed sitting in the park, watching people walk by. Snd that's just what she wanted to do. To have a day to herself. She didn't have to watch over the kids today because it was their day with Alex. Much to Molly's dismay. Briar shook her head of thoughts of the kids as she walked to the park.
Many muggle faces went past her. She forgot how busy London was. It was busier than Diagon Alley. She stuck her hands into her pockets and finally reached her destination. The Park. A smile came to her face. She seen muggle kids play on the playground while eldery couples walked by together, making her sigh. She couldn't wait to grow old with someone and just enjoy each others company.
She sat down on a secluded bench near a tree and took in a breath of the air. It felt good to be outside, without having to worry about any of the kids, cleaning, or anything of that sort. She watched as a kid couple, the kids about 5 years old, walking by, hand-in-hand with a popsicle in their other hands. She laughed a little and shook her head, "You gotta love little kid couples," She said with a small laugh.

"I think it's icky." a little girl by the name of Sophie sits down on the bench on the other side, taking a couple licks of her vanilla ice cream cone. "Boys have cooties and they're just gross." she says with a sigh. She glances over at Briar and smiles faintly. "I'm Sophia, but my daddy calls me Sophie." she nods, smoothing out her overalls and checking to see if anything got on her pink t-shirt underneath.
"Sophia Rae, I said don't leave my sight!" Logan rushes up to the bench, kneeling down in front of his daughter and kisses her forehead. "Don't make me worry sweetie. Alright? I love you too much for you to disappear." he says softly, running a hand over her one of her braided pigtails.
"I'm so sorry. Hope she wasn't..." he stops glancing over at the woman he was talking to and felt his jaw drop. "Briar?" Shit, I'm supposed to be dead. "Nice seeing you. Come on Soph." he says trying to get her to move and walk off with him, but she just sits there and looks at the lady. "You look very familiar. Daddy, is this the lady in the photo of your wallet? She's pretty."

Briar looked over when she seen a small girl sit down beside her. She couldn't help but smile at her, she looked too cute right then. "I don't know what you're talking about Miss Sophie, it's adorable. Come on, I bet you think one boy is cute," She said to the small girl. She hoped she wasn't here alone, because then she wouldn't know what to do. She wouldn't want to leave her.
She let out a small relieved sigh when she seen a man coming over to the bench to get her. She took a good look at the man then paled. She couldn't believe who was right there at the bench. He's..dead. You're imagining things. Then..she heard her name. Suddenly her mouth felt dry.
Briar swallowed and looked back over at him, "Logan?" She asked, her voice low and hoarse just by seeing him. "Pretty little girl you have here." She looked down at Sophie when she spoke again and smiled lightly, before looking back up at Logan, not speaking again.

"No. My daddy says that I'm not allowed to date til I'm older than him." she sighs, watching the two little kids for a second before rolling her eyes at them, tossing one of her light blonde pigtails behind her shoulder so it landed right behind her shoulder.
Logan sighs, closing his eyes and nods. "Thanks Briar, takes after her mother, especially those chocolate brown eyes. And yes Soph, that's her." He frowns a bit before picking Sophie up and placing her on his lap when he sits down. "So, I think I have to talk to her alone if you don't mind Sophie. Can you go play over there on the swings?" She nods jumping down from his lap and smiles up at Briar. "Bye!" she says with a small giggle before running off with her ice cream cone.
Logan looks at his hands before looking over at Briar. "I have some explaining to do don't I hun..." he says with a frown, noticing her own blank stare. "Unless you just want me to leave and you can continue living with Alex. Ran into Molly. She's gorgeous. Looks just like you Bri."

"That means he's just being a good daddy. My daughter isn't allowed to date until she's married," Briar said to Sophie with a smile. She watched as she tossed one of her plonde pigtails and laughed softly. She thought it was cute. She kind of reminded her of Molly when she was that age. She wanted a kid that age again, they were hard to keep up with but she just loved them at that age.
Briar looked down at Sophie, smiling as she waved bye. After Sophie left, she looked forward, not wanting to look or speak to Logan. What could she say? There was nothing to say except two words, 'Fuck you'. "I don't really want to listen to what you have to say Logan. You left me thinking you were dead..again." She looked over at him with wide eyes when she heard that he met up with Molly. "You..you seen my daughter?" She asked, ignoring what he said about Alex.

Logan laughs slightly shaking his head at her. "Excuse me but you're the one that left me for Alex, Briar." he says with a sigh, watching Sophia sit down on a swing, but slowly finishes her ice cream cone. He knew it was gonna be like this. Briar still bitter about him leaving, faking his own death again. Technically he was presumed dead. Logan guessed by the greeting he received from Shell and Jenny that everyone thought he did actually die.
"Yes, I've seen our daughter, Briar. We went out to a muggle diner, talked and took a nice walk. Ran into at Hogsmeade. Is that a problem or am I not allowed to talk to her?" Logan asks raising an eyebrow at her. "Well, how's life in that mansion. Must be nice compared to Sophie and I's cottage we have." he says still watching her. "You're not going to forgive a changed man are you?"

"Excuse me," Briar said, looking at him with wide eyes, "I left because you were never home. Then, you leave me with a kid that isn't even mine and take off, promising that you were going to come back." Yeah, she was still bitter about him leaving. Everyone thought he was dead after a few years. No one had hear from him. It was like he never left the surface of the Earth.
"She's no daughter of yours. You didn't raise her," She said, a bit angrily at the fact that he was even in spitting distance of her. "It'd be easier if Molly refused to listen to any adult she talks to, Dakota is constantly getting hurt, and Brendyn..well..he's starting to wonder about his real family." She looked over at Logan, narrowing her eyes, "The last time I forgave you, you did the same damn thing."

Logan sighs, looking down at his hands. "I was going to come back Briar. Trust me I was." he sighs again putting a hand through his hair. Let's see you get captured by deatheaters and be held as a prisoner of war. Then when I come back, you're off with Alex. What was I supposed to do, invade the place and kidnap my family?
Logan glances at her for a second before closing his eyes a bit. "You can tell that to her. The moment she believed me we instantly clicked Briar. "Thanks for telling my son that. Brendyn? His name is actually Alexander, go figure. What Graciela wanted." he shrugs lightly. "If you don't want him fine I'll take him. I've changed a lot since I got ca-. I ran off, so if you don't forgive me then I'm sorry." he says softly glancing over at her. "Are you. Are you married to him?"

Briar bit her lip and looked down at her hands, her hands clenched in her lap. She was holding in alot of emotions at once. Anger, Sadness, and relief all at once. She was relieved he was alive and nothing horrible had happened to him. Still, after all these years, she still cared. "Then why didn't you Logan?"
She closed her eyes, trying to envision Molly actually happy with Logan. She could see it perfectly. She remembered one fight they had, Molly saying that she wanted to be with her real father. Not some old guy that would ruin her life in a second. Those were the words right out of her mouth. "I..I'm not going to ruin the chance of..our daughter actually being happy for once. And I didn't tell Brendyn that, he kind of figured it out by the evil butler that lives there." When he asked if she was married to him, she shook her head, "No. I'm a Holmes. Have been for ten years."

Logan sighs, just looking at his hands for a few minutes before glancing over to Briar finally. "Because my dear, I was captured by the deatheaters. A prisoner of war so to speak. Couldn't really be like 'Hey, can I write a letter to my wife and family? Thanks.' Can't really work out that way Briar." Logan says softly taking her hand, but she could take it back if she wanted.
He nods, still looking at her with a straight face before scooting slightly closer. "Why isn't she happy? And figures, living there in that house was always terrible. I grew up there as well." he sighs, biting his lip a little before letting out a deep sigh of relief. "May I ask why you never married him?"

Briar bit her bottom lip and looked down at her hands, one of which in his. She didn't take it back. It made her smile a ghost of a smile. "My God..What about when they finally let you go? You obviously had enough time to meet another girl, get her pregnant, and raise Sophie." She let out a breath before continuing, "I was so scared that you left everynight because of me. I got so tired of it."
She sighed, not wanting to admit her daughter not being happy. But she knew she wasn't and Logan was her real father. Here he was, trying to get to know his family. "Because..if I ever married Alex it would ruin everything for her. I know that she has a crush on Isaiah, I know that she hates Alex after she found out what he had done to Shelby and the family..even me. She always wanted to be with you, be with the real family together." When she heard that she had to shake her head, "Because..I was afraid. Even after ten years I was..why am I even telling you this?"

He looks at their hands, smiling a little more than she was. "I came back. The house was deserted, heard from Daniella that you were happy and moved in with Alex, since you loved him so much. I wanted you to be happy so I figured the best thing was to disappear from the wizarding world and try to be happy too, but it wasn't the same." Logan says looking up at her with his blue eyes glazed over with sadness.
He nods, thinking of how Molly could even tolerate living under Alex's roof after everything he had done to the family. Logan looks at her, letting out a deep sigh. "I don't know why you're telling me this. Maybe it's because you still love me after all this time, maybe it's just because I'm here now and you're trying to catch me up on what I missed or a different reason. But it's your call on that one."

Briar bit only a side of her lip, shaking her head. "Daniella.. Haven't trusted her since the whole family fought. I was happy..but not as happy as when we were actually together. I think everyone can see that." She looked over at Logan and seen his eyes then looked down, her hand tightening slightly on his. She didn't like seeing him like that.
She let out a sigh and thought about why she was telling him all of this. Then, she realized he was right. Maybe she did still love him after all this time, but she would never admit it. "Yeah..I'm just trying to catch you up on what you've missed." She was with Alex, not him. There was nothing that could change that. She loved Alex, he was amazing.

Logan sighs, putting a hand through his hair with his free hand. "I should have come talked to you. I shouldn't have just listened, I should have fought for you and the kids." he mutters, in a way scowling himself. He felt like an idiot now. Logan lost one of the best things that had happened to him.
Logan nods, squeezing her hand lightly before frowning a bit. "O-oh, that's all then. Well thanks I guess." he says with a sigh before standing up and letting go of her hand. "I'll just leave you be hun, but I will tell you this." he says kneeling down to her side and placed a hand to her cheek. "I still love you Briar, even if you don't." Logan says softly before leaning forward a bit and kissing her passionately but a little deep as well. He breaks the kiss just waiting for her to slap him or yell, but it was expected.

Briar nodded with a frown, "Yes. You should have come and talked to me. Daniella hates me. Atleast she told you atleast a little bit of the truth. She could have came up with alot of bad lies with how bad she hates me," She said with a sigh. She looked down and closed her eyes, letting out anger at just the thought of Daniella. She hated her so much.
She sighed and looked up at him, many emotions in her eyes. She was with Alex, she kept reminding herself. She couldn't believe that flame was still there after all of this. She could feel the tears brim around her eyes when she heard that he still loved her. She closed her eyes, enjoying the moment just for a moment before looking down at her hands, not being able to look at him. "Just..don't be a stranger Logan. Okay?"

Logan sighs, stroking her cheek lightly before noticing the tears in her eyes. It stung him so hard in the heart. "Briar, do you still love me? Tell me the truth before I leave hun. Please." he asks, staring up at her with a deep frown crossing his lips now, as he felt a few tears of his own forming. Briar knew that he never cried, never did. Reaching for her hands, he kisses them lightly as he waited for her answer again.

Briar looked at him straight in the eyes for a moment. The tears in his eyes was rare. She either told him the truth, or would she lose him forever? Only for real this time? That's what was scary, she didn't want to lose him. She let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding and nodded, "Yes. I do," She whispered. "But..I can't leave Alex. I just can't. He's done..so much." Slowly, a tear fell down her cheek. This has never happened to her. Being with someone, but loving someone else too. It seemed wrong in her mind. It always has.

Logan nods, feeling a weak smile form but it fades quickly blinking the tears down his face. He stands and drops her hands, just looking at her with a blank expression. "After everything he has done, you choose to stay with him. Our daughter can't stand the man and you rather make yourself happy." he says shaking his head, feeling a few more tears fall from his cheeks. "Bye Briar... I think I'd rather be a stranger. Less hurtful and less pain." Logan whispers before nodding at her faintly and walks up the hill to get Sophie from the swing and walking down the other side of the hill and starts walking home.
