It was a bright and sunny day and I was sitting out in the courtyard. Not really doing anything but laying down on a blanket in the grass, looking up at the sky and the clouds. Basically, I was giving myself a day of relaxation after a weekend of.. well, a weekend of doing nothing. Doing nothing's actually a lot more tiring than some people would think. I smiled and after a moment, closed my eyes lightly just enjoying the feeling of the hot sun falling down on me with a small smile placed on my lips.
The bruise by my eye was considerably better now, though it was slightly sore still and I had already explained to my mum through a letter that I was perfectly fine. Though I can't say much for my brother. He got a nice howler from mum. I did feel sort of bad about that, but I had to admit it was slightly funny and thinking about it, I let out a small, soft chuckle through my lips, leaving my eyes closed.

There were several people on the grounds, but mostly everyone was over at the lake since it was a considerably hot day. Shaking his head lightly, Mason headed across the courtyard now, trying to look for secluded spot, but why would he do that? There were no Slytherins over nearby, so that was a relief. But there was one person that caught his eye and he smiled a little more.
Changing his direction with the wide smile on his face, he started after her, seeing she was laying out on a blanket with her eyes closed. Getting closer he heard her chuckle and raised an eyebrow and stood there for a short bit.
"Hullo Lace." He murmured softly after moving so that he could go and sit against a tree that wasn't too far from Meilana.

A few more minutes past and I eventually heard a familar voice, causing me to smile a little more. I opened my eyes and lifted my head up a bit to see Mason sitting down against a nearby tree. "Hey." I said with a small grin to him. "How're you doing this beautiful day?" I asked, shaking a little bit of hair from my eyes, still grinning.

Watching her carefully he saw her smile a little more, causing him to grin slightly wider. "Doing even better now." He said, smiling a little more as he kept his eyes on hers, watching as she shook some of her hair from her eyes. "You?" He asked softly. He was still a little ways away from her, but that was because he was only afraid of someone finding him talking to a Gryffindor, civily at that, but he wasn't that far away, considerably closer than he should be. But for now he wasn't going to worry about that.

I laughed a little, deciding to just sit up all the way now instead. "That's good to hear." I smiled lighlty to him. He was sitting kind of far away, but I didn't pay much attention to it and just stayed where I was. "I'm pretty good.. just kinda bored." I said with a small shrug.

Mason watched as she sat up all the way and smiled a little in her direction before letting his eyes glance across the courtyard again to make sure there was no one there who was watching them. Nodding a little he waited for her answer. "Ah, boredom, I could help you in not being bored." He said, shrugging lightly, smirking slightly.

I saw his eyes travel around the courtyard for a moment and didn't think much anything of it. "Really? And what exactly do you have in mind then?" I asked with a small laugh, watching him smirk and left the smile on my lips before scratching my shoulder lightly.

Laughing softly, Mason shrugged and leaned back a little more against the tree, slightly more relaxed now. "Dunno." He said, smiling a little as he looked at her from his more relaxed position. "Something? What do you want to do?"

I laughed a little and shrugged lightly too as he leaned back against the tree. "I dunno either.. But something sounds pretty good right about now." I nodded lightly. "Um.. I vote you choose." I grinned.

Laughing softly, he shook his head. "Doesn't work that way Lace." He said, smirking slightly towards her. "I said that I could help you with not being bored, you have to choose though." He added, smiling widely now instead of smirking.

I laughed lightly, "Well, I don't like you too much today then." I said, stickng my tongue out at him and crossing my arms infront of my chest lightly, just joking with him. "But Jay... hm... that sounds weird.." I commented quietly to myself. "Mason? Hm.. I'll think of something.. anyway.. it's too hard, you should help me decide." I said with a wide smile over to him.

"Ouch." Mason said, taking a sharp intake of breath, holding his hand over his heart, feining hurt. After a moment he laughed softly, barely hearing her comment to her self. "First day you're having troubles with making sentences, now you have issues with my name? You're an odd one Lace." He said, laughing a little again. "Nope, not until I'm bored out of my mind, this is entertaining actually."

I laughed lightly and looked over to him again, still grinning. I shook my head lighlty and laid back down. "Yeah, I guess it's just not my week." I said with a soft laugh, shaking my head a little bit as I glanced at him again. "It's just, I dunno.. Your name sounds funny when I say it.." I said with a small laugh, hoping that didn't sound to horrible. "And thank you, I'll take that as a complement."

"Hm, maybe I'm just your bad luck charm." He said, laughing a little as he looked at her, seeing her laying down again and smiled a little more. "And you laugh about that." He said, shaking his head with a small grin, wondering if he should be pretending to be hurt by that, but decided against it. "That's good. So think of what you want to do." Mason added before relaxing a little more and shutting his eyes lightly.

"Well, I hope not becuase you're fun to talk to." I said lauhging a little bit back. "And yes I guess that I do.. I just need something else to call you.. Maybe.." I said with a small nod as I start to think about it.
"But I can't think..." I said starting to bite my lip lightly. "Um..." I thought a bit more, not really thinking of anything and clicking my tongue lighlty, "Let's go for walk." I finally said, sitting up instead of laying again.

"I could still talk to you, you know, as long as I'm not making it so you can't speak or something." He said, sending another wide smile towards her. "Ah, just as long as I approve." He added, shaking his head with a little laughter.
"A walk it is." He said, standing up now instead of leaning against the tree and walked over to her.

I said with a small smirk in his direction as I stood up too, just leaving the blanket where it was. "Awesome.. And now I vote we walk through the forest." I said with a small nod after he walked over to me.

Mason laughed. "Right, my cute face, you need it." He said, grinning as he shook his head a little. "Oh great, can't wait for it." Mason shook his head again.
"Forest, right, lets go." Moving next to her he hooked his arm with hers and started walking, tugging lightly on her arm.

"Right." I grinned with a small nod. "And me either.. It will be glorious.." I said slightly over-exaggerated with a small laugh.
I laughed faintly again as I felt him link arms with me and nodded, "Yay." I grinned.

"Yes.. maybe you can." I said with a small nod. "Well, if you don't approve of it, maybe I'll be nice to you and I won't use it." I said smiling lightly, noticing him looking around the courtyard one more time and I turned myself to look for a moment, wondering what he was looking at.

"That'll be greatly appreciated." He said, grinning towards her after glancing away at the courtyard, seeing that now Meilana was glancing around the courtyard as well. "So, now that we're walking, anything you want to talk about?" He asked, looking at her again.

"It is, really really good." He said, shaking his head slightly. "Nevermind." The trees slowly started getting heavier, slowly blocking the sun from hitting down on their skin, and as the trees got heavier in grouping, Mason didn't have to worry about someone seeing him with Meilana. "Hm, so anything else, because I'm sure you'd want to find a name on your own."

I nodded slightly when he said nevermind and just watched trees get heavier around us, feeling a little better now that the sun wasn't beating down on me anymore. I was pretty sure that I was getting sunburned. "Um.. I can't really think.. Do you have anything you want to talk about? Cause you're right.. I would like to find it myself." I smiled with a small nod.

Mason let a chuckle fall past his lips as she spoke. "See, I'm always right." He grinned, teasing slightly, looking down at her. "Well," He started, moving his hand and brushing a finger lightly over the bruise that she had, the one she'd gotten from a quaffle, "you're bruise is getting better, disappearing a little." He said, pulling his hand back after he finished speaking.

"Yeah, yeah." I grinned, shaking my head slightly glanicing up to him.
I flinched slightly when he ran a finger lighlty over my bruise and then touched it slightly after him. "Yeah.. I'm pretty happy about that.. still kind of hurts though." I said with a small shrug. "But one good thing did come out of it, my mum sent my brother a howler and it was quiet funny." I grinned.

"Sorry." Mason murmured softly under his breath after seeing her flinch a little from the light touch of his finger over her bruise. "I can see that." He said softly, still looking at her as they walked. "Really?" He asked, grinning a little back. "Must've been great." He added, shaking his head slightly. "Right, so we just walking or you want to stop at some point?"
