Nyx's style is a very hip, punked-out mix between vintage, goth, and prep school. For example, she likes short mini-skirts with wide belts. But, for a finishing touch, she adds her favorite halter top with a 'House of 1,000 Corpses' picture on the front, and her skeleton hand necklace. Among that, she has a bunch of other cute little form-fitting tops, tons of jeans that are probably ripped beyond repair, a million shoes that she could put together with any outfit,

good traits;
sweet;;[/i] Yeah, this is actually a trait that her Hufflepuff-ness takes care of pretty well. Bottom line is, Nyx is a sweetheart, and doesn't have any trouble showing it. A lot of the time, she has her guard up, afraid of being hurt, but her sweetness is always one thing that shines through her personality. A lot of the time people think it's an act, but most of the people they've met are bitter and such, but not Nyxie. She's geniuine and for real.
crazy;;[/b] Being a sweetheart does not mean that she is a pushover though. Nyxie can be the totally, most outrageous daredevil you could ever see in your life. One minute you could be walking down the street with her, and the next she could turn to you and ask if you wanted to go base jumping. Next to that, Nyx is a quite impulsive little fucker. Once the adrenaline gets pumping in her veins, and that fight-or-flight feeling appears, she makes rash decisions. Though, she knows she does this a lot, she doesn't have any regrets about it. Life is about making mistakes, and Nyxie knows that.[/size]

temper-temper;;[/b] The only personality trait that Nyx acquired from her father was his short temper. It is slightly different from her father's type of temper problem, though. Actually, it takes quite a lot for Nyxie to get severely pissed off. But once she is, look out; it's like a tornado that came to the town with one dead-set purpose: to destroy everything in its path. Nyx just explodes into a fury and is quite capable of doing anything, even hurting the person that she's pissed off at.
jittery;; Growing up with the type of relationship her parents had, Nyx was usually in a state of some kind of paranoia. She doesn't like people coming up behind her and scaring her, because it seriously freaks her out. At even the slightest little noise, Nyxie sometimes will practically jump out of her skin. She doesn't like haunted-house type of happenings either. In otherwords, people popping out and scaring her. Really, you'll more than likely give her a heart attack or something to the extent.

fidgets;; One of the habits that comes along with her nervousness is fidgeting. Nyxie really can't sit still for more than ten minutes, and it doesn't have anything to do with her possibly having ADD. Nyx is pretty jittery, and is contantly moving some part of her body. She could be jiggling her leg up and down while she's sitting, twidling her thumbs if she's bored, tapping her foot on the ground, or tapping her nails on her school desk.
defense mechanisms;; To be honest, Nyx doesn't cope with stress well. And she has way more stress than any normal Hufflepuff would seem to have. She isn't a good-goody, although her house may give her that stereotype. She drinks, smokes, and on occasion, does drugs. Nyxie doesn't do them for fun though, like many 'partier' type people would consider. All of her stress has to go away, right? Well, that's the way she does it, by going out and forgetting all about it, at least until the next morning or so. She knows it isn't what it's cut out to be, and that her stress really doesn't go away, but she doesn't care, and does it anyway.

brief history;
From the time Nyx Alessandra Monroe was born to the age of sixteen that she presently is now, she has always secretly hated her father. And her father has always secretly hated her. Her mother was born a muggle, and is the closest person to Nyxie. Her father is a pureblood slytherin who no one would marry, hence why he got hitched to her muggle mother, April.
To focus more on Nyx's school life, she was sorted as a Hufflepuff back in her first year. Needless to say, her father was very disappointed in her, considering he was expecting her to be a Slytherin. To make a long story short, Nyx doesn't have a very fantastic home life. Besides her mother, she's the odd woman out of the group. Her sisters hate her, as do most of her cousins. She does have a few magically inclined cousins that she seeks solace in, however.
Her mother doesn't stand up to Nyx's father at all. And so, Nyx spends most of her time locked up in her room, when she isn't at Hogwarts. Currently, she's devising a plan to either get her mother to move out, or to move in with her older brother. Either way, she does not want to remain in an unsatisfying home, where she is constantly belittled day in and day out.
