Falling Behind [open]

[Shelby Crescent]

"Mum, mum, mum..." James whines keeping up with the group of kids that were following close behind her. "Hurry up Jimmy, or else you'll get left behind." "Jen, Don't tell him that!" Hearing a high pitched whine from behind them all. Shell wanted to take a walk in the park with those who were home today and decided to go to the playground much to Ashlyn's dismay, but the others were thrilled.

Once getting to the swings James bumps into Jenny's legs causing her to smile and pick him up, kissing his forhead lightly. "Order mother!" Jen salutes her with her free hand and a huge smirk on her face. Shell rolls her eyes and looks at all seven of them with a smile. They were so big now and it made her feel sad whenever just looking at them knowing that Jenny was graduating within a couple of weeks. How the years flew.

"Okay Jenny watch James, Ashlyn watch Liese and Vi, and Dori and Julie look after each other. Now go have fun." she says seeing all of them walk to the slide, swings or the sandbox. Shell smiles faintly to herself sitting on a bench close by so she could still have a watchful eye over all of them as she let out a deep sigh.

Leaning against a tree, Jay watched his family with a slight smile. He should be over there right now but he was waiting until the ideal time. See he's been out on a buisness trip, and now he's just gotten back. The thing is he hasn't told Shelby that he wasback just quiet yet, he wanted to suprise her.

Jay didn't want to stay out that long, but he had a bad time with his transformation and he stayed where he was until they got better and he could control them better. There was no way that he was going to be around his family when he was like that.

Seeing Shelby sit down on the bench Jay walks over, with a slight limp in his steps, and places his hands over her eyes from behind the bench with a smile looking down at her.

She sighs lightly again, thinking of Jay now as she watches James go down the slide with a grin that resembled Jay's so well. His transformations were getting the better of him lately and he was spending even more time away from the family, but she knew he loved them and would come home as soon as he thought it was safe for him to.

Shell gasps slightly feeling a pair of hands cover her blue eyes, but for some reason this didn't phase her anymore like it did doing the war. "I'm gonna have to guess huh?" she asks putting her hands over whoever hands they were and felt a wedding band. Shell smiles and leans back against his chest just letting out a sigh of relief. "How are you feeling sweetie?" she asks with her eyes still covered.

Jay grins and kisses the top of her head. "I'll get you one of these days," He vows walking around to the front to sit next to her. He wraped one of his arms around her shoulder and the other around her waist from the front as he kissed her lightly.

"I've missed you," He grins against her lips. And it's true. He was glad now though because most of the kids were here and he had Shelby next to him. Spending time with his family was becoming more and more prescious to him as the days went by. He wished there was a way that he could find a cure for this thing.

Shell laughs shaking her curls a bit as he walked around to sit next to her. "I doubt it. I win that game every single time you do that." she says with a grin as she scooted closer to him. She kisses him just as light, looking into his brown eyes with a light sigh again.

"I've missed you too." she says softly smiling a bit against his lips as well. "So was it really bad this time? You haven't been home for a while." she says softly again, idly playing with his hair as one hand twirled into his hair more and the other linking their fingers together. Shell still wasn't used to him being gone more than a week, but she knew he had to get away. Once he left a bit too late and left her a little scar on her hand, but she didn't mind it.

"You think that you win." Jay laughs softly, "I just let you win most of the time." He says with a cheeky grin. Jay then nods his head, "Was pretty bad. Didn't think that I could come back just yet until I got them under control." He explains to her. "I'm really sorry it took so long," He says brushing some hair off her shoulder to plant one light kiss on her neck.

Jay then pulls away, but still having his arms around her shoulder with a grin then looks out to the kids. He's missed them to. "Oi!" He yells over to them.

"Oh I know that I win Jay. Don't you dare say that you let me." she says faking a glare at him but still had a smile on her face. Shell nods lightly as her smile faded. "Are you sure you're feeling alright? You don't have to rush home everytime, I can manage all of them." she says softly as she closes her eyes feeling the light kiss on her neck.

James and Jenny glance over, the two of them both giving different reactions. James starts running towards Shell and Jay as Jenny just rolls her eyes and sticks out her tongue, but she still had a light smile on her face. After a few seconds all seven of them were surrounding them sitting on the bench hugging Jay tight and giving kisses on the cheek. All except Jenny who stood there with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Ah, but I just did." Jay grins. He shakes his head slightly, "I wanted to be home." He says.

Jay grins wrpaing his arms around as many of them that he could kissing them on the cheek or the top of the head. "I've missed you guys!" Jay grins down at all of them. He looks up at Jenny and smiles over to her, "I get no hug from you?" He chuckles slightly although he's slightly hurt. Jay loves her like his won and yet she's bitter.

"Nuh-uh." she says stubbornly as usual, just shaking her head at him with a smile on her face. "Okay then sweetie, I just want you to be careful alright?" she says before getting attacked by the army.

Shell laughs also getting squashed into the hug and noticing Jenny just standing there. She still wasn't used to the fact that her only real father figure now was Jay even if Logan had been gone for a long time and Nick only came by once in a great while and it was for only Zoe, Ashlyn and Isaiah. She sighs once everyone moved off of the two of them and sits on his lap, hugging him lightly. "Happy Jay?" she asks with a straight face.

Jay hugs her back, but still holds onto her lightly when she pulls back. "You know, I do remember a time when you liked me slightly," He laughs softly ruffling her hair a little. Jay looks over at Shelby, "Shell, don't you remember that?"

Jay knows that Jenny never really took to him as much as the other children did, and he still can't understand why. Probably because she still holds onto Logan so much, Jay assumed.

"Still do. I just don't like to share." she shrugs just sitting on his lap as she glances over at Shell with a light smile. "And I still remember you two mentally scarring me for life." she says with a smirk to them both.

Shell's jaw drops as she said that, shocked she still recalled that. "Serinity Amarial you better go run. Now." she says hearing a bunch of giggles and fake gagging noises all around them. "Thanks for mentally scarring the rest of them Jen." she adds, shaking her head lightly as she leaned her head on Jay's shoulder.

Jay laughs softly shaking his head lightly He was much more laid back than Shelby but now that all the other kids had heard that..He knew that she should do something about it. He didn't know what to do though. "Jen..." He chuckled, all he could think of to say, unwraping one arm from Jenny and putting it around Shelby's shoulder.

Shell glances up at Jay with a smile and sighs. "What are we gonna do with her?" she asks with a laugh as Jen got up and walked over to the swings just waving at Jay and Shell at the bench. The others hug Jay and Shell one more time before running off to play again. "I really did miss you. More than you know." she says taking his free hand and squeezing it slightly.

"Love her. That's all we can do," Jay chuckled softly taking her hand also. "Ditto." He says bringing her hand up and kissing her fingers lightly.

"I guess so, do we have to?" she asks sarcastically with a grin as she felt him kiss her hand. "You always say that, but it makes me smile everytime." Shell says softly just looking up at his eyes again. "Missed those too."

[Jay Chou]

Jay grins and nods his head looking down at her as he tucks a fewstrands of hair behind her ear. He pulled her closer to him and looked back out at the kids for a few moments.

She sighs lightly just watching the kids for a bit until she beams. "Come on." she says standing up and pulling on his hand with a laugh.

Jay laughed softly standing up, "Whaat?" He questioned.

"Just come on, you'll see." she says with a smile as she continued to walk backwards until she was sitting on a swing. "You can either push me or swing next to me." Shell says with a smile still up at him.

Jay laughs walking behind her and pulling the chains on the swing a little to start pushing her. "With those short legs, I doubt you could swing yourself very far." He teased.

Shell gasps dramatically and tilts her head so she could look at him as she started to swing a bit forwards. "You very well know I have long legs mister." she says with a wink as Jen makes the same gagging noises as before, but Shell ignores them this time. "I'm just vertically challenged."

Jay laughs softly with a cheeky grin. "Same difference," He says pushing her a little bit more.

[Shelby Crescent]

"No it's not." she frowns, but just watches Liese and James run to the sandbox. "They all look like they're having fun." she says with a smile curling up onto her lips. "It still amazes me that those two have red hair. Anyone in your family have red hair?" she asks softly as she was going higher and higher.

Jay smied and nodded, "Yeah they do." He says then frowned a little bit. "I'm not sure. Probably somewhere along the line on my mums side. She has some Irish in her," He comments. "Your side?"

[Shelby Crescent]

She nods lightly just watching them for a few seconds. "There's only a couple people really. Addison and her kids. And then Elizabeth has red hair too. I know we're half Irish though and half French." she says with a nod.

[Jay Chou]

"Then that's where they get it from," He says stopping her lightly and then pulling her up and pulling her up a little and kissing the back of her neck.

"I figure so." she shrugs feeling Jay stop the swing slowly and pull her up to her full height. "What are you... nevermind." she says with a smile crawling onto her lips as he kissed the back of her neck. "So teasing right now." Shell mumbles softly taking a glance at the kids before closing her eyes.

"Seeing if you've worked on self control." He teased her kissing the back of her neck still. "Just kidding,"

"I doubt that will ever happen, but I'm getting better at it." she whispers, biting her lip lightly before clenching the chains on the swings a bit as well. "If you're gonna continue make sure they're not completely scarred." Shell laughs a bit.

Jay laughed softly, pulling away. "Oi!" He calls to all his kids "Hey guys, right over there," he says pointing in front of them but still within seeing distance, "Is an Ice cream and pizza place." he says, then pulls out a big wad of muggle money. It wasn't so much that it'd be stupid to even consider giving seven kids but ti was plenty for them to get everything they wanted. "Go crazy. Jenny your in charge," He says handing her the money.
