What were the uses of cars in London? All they did was pollute the air and take up space. It was so much easier to walk. There were many people walking aswell, but the cars took up so much room on the road. She knew about these thigns because of her aunt. She made her ride in one and she loved to drive Shelby's when she could. Other than that, she preferred to walk. They'll learn one day when their air is polluted.
Briar stood near the edge of the sidewalk, out of peoples way just to watch the cars go by. Many thing muggles had fasicnated her, like their phones and jobs. They were so different from the Wizarding world and acted like they had no care. Well, most atleast. When she was walking, she would see the occasional homeless person. It made her sad when she seen them, it made her want to help them. But she couldn't. She wrapped arms around her torso and looked up at the gray sky.
It was going to rain soon.

Walking out of a small store, Alex glances at a few people passing by on the sidewalk. They all seemed to be in a hurry to be getting somewhere probably home as he took a look up at the gray sky. It was definately going to rain soon but he never really minded the rain. In fact, he loved to leave the mansion and take a walk through the garden when it did rain.
Looking to the right he notices Briar standing on the edge, almost on the curb. He smiles lightly walking down the street only to stand behind her placing a hand on her waist, while holding the small box with the other. "Hey, you better watch out for those things. Not always good to stand this close to them." he nods, watching the cars for a couple minutes before looking down at her.

Briar looked down the street, only to see a crazy driver like herself driving quickly down the road. She backed up a bit and watched as they sped by. Did she really drive that maniacilly? More than likely. She chuckled a bit and shook her head, no wonder muggles gave her crazy stares. Years ago, she would always be pulled over and arrested. One time, with Shelby. And Shelby had paid a owman in the jail cell to scare her.
Jumping when she felt a hand on her waist, she narrowed her eyes and turned around, ready to curse the person out. But as soon as she seen who it was, a smile came on her face. "I know, I used to drive Shelby's all the time," She said with a twinkle in her eye from the memories. They were quite funny. "What are you doing here in Muggle London?" She asked him, tilting her head softly to the side.

Alex watches the muggle woman turning the wheel in every direction gaining quite alot of attention besides himself and Briar. He shakes his head and smiles at her once she turned around smiling with those blue eyes that he loved so much. "That had to be scary. You driving a car, I might as well made out my will if I ever drive with you in a car." he says with a small laugh, subsciously putting a hand to his jaw, tracing over the faint scar that Shelby had given him years ago.
"Oh, I was getting something fixed is all. As werid as it sounds, I have a fascination with muggle watches. It's amazing how they work without magic and the pocketwatch you bought me broke a couple days ago so I was getting it fixed." he says shaking his right hand that was in the small box. "And I figured I'd take a walk, seeing as it's gonna rain." he says raising his chin towards the gray sky. "How about you?"

Briar let a small grin come to her lips and a laugh escape her throat, "I even had Shelby and I arrested," She said, shaking her head at the memory, "It was funny. She paid the cellmate we had to hit on me for kicks." She watched him for a moment, trace that scar. She always looked at the scar whenever she could. He never told her how he got it, it always made her curious. "Atleast I make it to a place in less amount of time, though."
She looked at the box that held the watch and nodded, "Ah. I see, how'd it break? Did Brendyn do it?" She asked, the grin reduced to a smile. She looked up at the gray sky once more, then back to Alex. She loved the rain, more than anything really. "Why do people drive muggle cars? They pollute the air," She said with a frown. "I seen it was going to rain earlier, when it does, I'm so dancing in it. I haven't in so long."

"You've been in jail, and you put my youngest daughter in jail along with you? No wonder I love you so much." he says putting the box into his pocket and puts his other arm around her waist. "I bet that woman would have hit on you without the money." he winks at her before glancing up at the sky again. "And you waste more gas in doing so."
"Well. No. I ummm. dropped it." he grins sheepishly at the sky until he looks down at her again with a look of thought on his face. The expression was always gloomy and distant, but he smiles shortly after her leaning down to her ear. "They don't have brooms nor can they apparate hun. So they invented cars to get around. They'll learn soon enough." he nods, getting a couple glances of disguist as he stood back up to his height.
Seeing as Alex was more than twenty years older than Briar, they always got looks like that. He was old enough to be her father but love didn't know numbers obviously. He raises an eyebrow at her and shakes his head. "Really now? Do I get the honour of dancing with you my dear?"

Briar looked up at him thoughtfully for a moment when he said that then let a grin cross her lips again. He always found a way to make her smile just by saying something. "I'm sure," She said in a sarcastic tone, rolling her eyes lightly. "I do? I didn't know that..I know nothing about muggle things..sue me." She looked at some of the people that were passing by and frowned when she seen roses. 'Oh no..' She thought then gave a little sneeze, it sounded like a mouse. The didn't know why she sneezed when she seen roses, it just started to happen a couple years ago.
The last person she seen give them a disgusted look, she made a face at by crossing her blue eyes and rising her upperlip like she was about to growl like a dog. Looking back at Alex, she nodded, "Well ofcourse dearest Alex."

"I know she would have. I know I would." he says leaning down and kissing her cheek lightly. "And yes you do. The harder you work the engine, the more fuel it has to use to change into energy." he nods, before glancing over his shoulder and instantly winces. For some reason, Briar would always sneeze if the aroma of roses were near in the past recent years. "Bless you Minnie Mouse." he says with a laugh, squeezing her sides lightly after she sneezed.
"Briar, please don't make that face. It will give them even more reasons to stare at us." he says softly, looking at the lady's frightened face as more pedestrians that passed them looked their way. "I would dance even if you say I couldn't with you." he says glancing at the clouds that were coming in. "I think it's going to start soon. Do we have to fulfill some girly fantasy and kiss in the rain?" he asks sarcastically with a grin.

Briar turned her head quickly and caught the kiss on her lips, grinning soon after, "I'm not so sure. She looked like she was for a more manly person," She said after a moment of thinking about it. She nodded and said, "Oh..but it was fun to go so fast. But I haven't driven a car in a while now." A blush formed at her cheeks and she hid her face in his chest. It always mde her embarassed when she sneezed because it's so small that people say it sounded like a mouse..or as Alex says Minnie Mouse. "Shush," She said with a small grin, still not showing her face.
"They shouldn't stare anyways, Alex. Atleast now, they can call me the crazy lady that growls instead of making a comment about us?" She said hopefully. She hated the stares and comments. Age didn't matter, besides..it was only twenty years or so. She blushed even more and looked up at him through a peak in her htrying to hide her face, "No, I'd like that but you're here. That's all I need," She said with a smile.

He kisses her back lightly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Ah, but still I would have. Who wouldn't? Even McGonagall might try and do that if you visit the school." he says with a laugh, only teasing her a bit. Alex loved when she blushed, it gave him a feel of happiness and achievement that he got her too. "I could teach you the proper way. Have an old car stowed away somewhere in that garage." he nods to her with a smile. "Make me." he replies turning his smile into a light smirk now.
"Well, I'd prefer them just to stare instead of making half true assumptions about you dear. You do tend to growl alot at the butlers and maids." he says with a laugh, noticing her peaking out from his chest. "We can, just saying. It seems like every woman's fantasy to do that, but I'm honored that just standing here is enough I suppose." he says rolling his eyes as he felt a raindrop hit his cheek.

Briar blushed a crimson now and hid her face in his chest fully again. She knew he was doing it on purpose. He always did when she blushed the first time. She bit her bottom lip and wanted look peake out but she was still blushing. She didn't want people to see. "Really?" She asked in an excited voice. She wanted to drive, but she wanted to walk too. It's easier to apparate.
"Yeah..but what about when we're with the kids? They'll be asking why people are staring, like Molly and Dakota did before. I don't want them to get the looks either," She said with a frown, finally looking up at him. "Those butlers and maids are evil, they have it coming." She scrunched up her nose when she felt a raindrop hit her cheek and looked up at him. "Ofcourse, I wouldn't mind that at all," She said with a grin.

Alex laughs, pulling back some to look at her face. "Now that's an interesting shade of red there Briar." he says kissing her lightly. "And yes really. I promise, but no speeding." he says with a nod before hugging her again.
"Maybe we just have to explain to them why everyone is staring. They'll understand." he says with a nod, hugging her a bit tighter. Alex always felt guilty that she fell in love with him when she could have easily fallen for a younger man. Then she wouldn't have to put up with the stares and whispers whenever they would just hold hands. "True. Hence why I leave the door open for you to attack them." he says with a laugh looking back down at her again. "It's up to you Briar." he says about the kiss in the rain as it started to sprinkle lightly.
