... Um... yeah. I dunno if you both have read all the new chapters I've sent or not, but I'm just going to assume that you have though it's okay if you haven't.

Anyway, thing is... I can't seem to conjure a whole three or four pages to finish off chapter 23 (after the Riyann scene). It was supposed to be Arden talking to Chance, but I really don't think that they have enough to say to fill up that much space. So... instead I think I might put the Fitzy/Riyann scene just before the Arden/Logan one, so then that will end with You've made big mistake and then the following chapter (which I know I haven't sent you yet, Jourdan, 'cause it isn't finished) will open with Ian being 'pathetic' on the front porch because Rowan's dead, with nothing in between.

So, first I want to know if you think that's a good idea.
But then there's the matter of songs, 'cause fewer chapters = fewer songs. But I took another look at things, and would like to know what you think there.

As things stand now:
ch. 20 - "Believe It Or Not" - Kevin Payne taunts Logan; Maddie is a wreck
-------- possibly wrong, doesn't match up?
ch. 21 - "You're Not Alone" - Ian and Arden reconcile
--------- not changing this one; it's the ultimate Ian/Arden song
ch. 22 - "Dance with the Devil" - Logan confronts Arden
--------- perfect for them, so I don't want to lose it
ch. 23 - "Disarray" - Fitzy and Riyann meet; ?
--------- there's no longer a second half to this chapter, but I still love the song for the scene that remains
ch. 24 - "Hello Again" - Logan taunts Ian; Arden shows up at the funeral
--------- not even sure if Logan should taunt Ian, but even if he does I'm not sure the song is right

So... here's how I may be changing things:
ch. 20 - "Hello Again" - Kevin Payne taunts Logan; Maddie is a wreck
--------- ?? Does it work?
ch. 21 - already locked; not changing that
ch. 22 - "Disarray" - Fitzy and Riyann meet; Logan confronts Arden
--------- Basically, does this song work for Arden and Logan, in your opinion? I know it works for Fitzy.
ch. 23 - "Dance with the Devil" - Logan (possibly) taunts Ian; Arden shows up at the funeral (and loses her faith)
--------- Again, does it work?

Sorry for asking all this, but I just need someone's input... preferably someone who's read most of it, 'cause Laura hasn't done that. But it's very important to me that the mood and lyrics of the songs match up with the chapters I'm using them with, so... yeah.

So pretty much all you have to do is listen to these songs and see if you can visualize what's going on in the chapters. Thank you, and... adios.

Okay... actually, fuck all that. I can't even be bothered to check what I wrote but it was a lot. So now I have some new, simpler questions for you.

First off - "Hello Again"
Does it work better for the Keven taunting Logan / Maddie moping chapter, or for the funeral one?

Second - "No Games" by Breaking Benjamin - does it work for chapter twenty? (Kevin and Logan, Maddie)

And I might add more as I think of them, and I'm sorry for bothering you but I really can't think without someone to bounce ideas off of.

I'd say Hello Again works for either, but possibly more the funeral one than the first one.
And also I'm not sure if No Games entirely works for chapter 20, but it sort of does...and eh, sorry for the general uselessness of that.

... Random thought here, but why in the fuck do I keep typing "Keven" instead of Kevin? You don't have to answer that; just a thought.

And it's probably ridiculous how much importance I place on these songs, but there you go.
I'm currently listening to a bunch of Three Days Grace to see if anything strikes me for either the funeral or the Kevin scene, but nothing yet. Let you know if anything does come up.

Well, good. Good that you think so, I mean. But it's still a bit annoying that whenever I get stuck on a song, I can't write until I solve it.

Hm... actually, yeah. The more I think about it the more I kinda like it. Most of it seems to be from Logan's perspective, to Arden, saying things that aren't explicitly stated in the chapter itself... but then it also fits for Maddie, especially the last chorus where it's 'our' life instead of 'your' or 'my.' And... yeah, I think I'm going with that then.

Aaaaaaand... I also found another song last night that I think will change the structure a bit, so let me know what you think of this:

ch. 20 - "Sooner or Later"
ch. 21 - "You're Not Alone"

ch. 23 - "Locking Up the Sun" by Poets of the Fall
