I never really liked it here... or least during Christmas.
"Just need one more gift, Shell. That's all you need. One more." Making her way through muggles big and small through the toy store, she looks down every aisle, for some kind of doll that could do... something. Ironically, Liese had been talking about it for weeks and she forgotten everything but the doll's name, Maggie. Maggie something... well that really didn't matter right now as long as she found one.
Finally finding the correct aisle, Shell pushed her way through numerous amounts of little muggle girls, whining and pleading their parents to buy them this and that for their dolls or barbies. What a barbie was Shell wasn't sure. Glancing up again, she beams noticing a red dressed Maggie doll sitting politely on the shelf.
One problem was that it was the very top shelf and of course out of her reach. "Great. Now I have to climb these blasted shelves in a dress. Just great." she mumbles, gaining a couple of glares before her blonde curls bobbed up and down behind her as she started to climb.
Reaching a bit higher on her light blue high heels she reaches a corner before finally grabbing the front of the box. "Gotcha! Now you're going home with..." before she could finish her sentence, Shell falls backwards, light blue pea coat, heels, curls tied back in the same hue ribbon and all into the aisle. |

Alex had just been to see some family in the muggle world before christmas before he went back to Australia well thats where his cousins thought he was they also got told by their muggle parents that he had a job as a magician which is why he often came back and preformed magic tricks, it made him happy to see the kids smile but it was also hard, his mother and father were both magical but never told anyone so when Alex was also born with magic as soon as his Hogwarts letter came he was abandoned but now and then mostly on christmas he comes back to the muggle world to see the kids.
He was walking around one of the shops looking for a couple of barbies and action men that he knew the kids wanted, so he would use them in his Trick. He looked down every isle and couldn't find them anywhere but he soon came to the right isle where he nocticed a lady looking at the dolls on the top shelf, much higher than she could reach, he was about to offer to get one for her but she started climbing up the shelves, Alex stood and watched her it was pretty amusing considering she was wearing a dress and was clearly not from around here as there was a stool right next to it, which anybody else would have used.
Alex watched as she got what she was after and smiled as he saw how proud she looked of her self but then he noticed her face change to one of horror then he noticed she was falling, luckily he wasn't that far away from her so he ran and luckily caught her before she hit the floor "You ok miss?" he asked her smiling down at her.

Why is there always someone there to catch me when I fall... not that I'm complaining.
Shell had her aquamarine eyes shut tight before blinking slowly to see the man who caught her then towards the muggles who either had an amused, shocked or embarrassed expressions written all over their faces. Noticing her arms were wrapped around his neck and he caught her bridal style.
"Thank you, um. What's your name?" she asks tilting her head to the side before glancing over to see the Maggie doll box all beaten and dented. Shell sighs a little before glancing back up at the younger man. He had to be younger than her. He had such a baby looking face and something else about him was just off, but she shrugs it off and smiles at him lightly. [/size] |

Alex laughed "Your welcome miss, the names Alex and yours?" Alex looked around at the muggles staring at them with mixed emotions "You guys can stop staring, you can see she's fine, get back to your busy bodying" He looked back to her smileing "Nice eyes" He laughed.

Shell cringes slightly at his name. Alex... ugh. Every Alex she ever met was a jerk or a bastard. Her father, one of her ex-husbands, friends, the list goes on and on. Shaking away her thoughts she forgot to respond by saying her own name. "Shelby. But you may call me Shell. It seems I should legally change my name to Shell instead. Never called Shelby anymore. Now I'm rambling aren't I?" she asks blushing at her behavior as the crowd started to disperse slowly at his comment.
Shell's cheeks remained pink until she heard the compliment about her eye color. That was always common but it still made her grin anyway. "Thanks. Are you going to put me down anytime soon Alex?" she asks with a faint giggle before biting her up at him. [/size] |

Alex laughed inside listening to her rambling on in his arms "Yeah Shell you are rambling" he laughed noticing her pink blushing cheeks it made him laugh a little more. "Oh yeah sure" He smiled putting her down "Now are you sure your ok? You look a bit pink? Well I guess it is a bit warm in here after all" He joked, he couldn't help but laugh at the fact she had gone bright pink mostly after his comment about her eyes

Shell glances at him slightly before shaking her head. "I'm fine, just crowded in here. I never liked stores like this during the holidays. I'd prefer to be at Diagon... um. Why are you giggling?" she asks instantly, almost mentalling smacking herself in the forehead. So much for being the top of class and a Ravenclaw. [/size] |

Alex raised an eyebrow when she almost spilled about Diagon Alley it made him laugh slightly more but he stopped when she commented about it "No reason, and don't worry I prefer shopping there to, not as crowded." he raised an eyebrow and a cheeky smile swept across him face.

Shell laughs faintly before nodding right after. "Yes, I attended Hogwarts a long time ago... I was in Ravenclaw and played Keeper for the house team." she says still proud of that even though she was a retired pro Quidditch player. For some reason that just made her grin still. [/size] |

Alex nodded slightly as he listened to her talking "Wait, so your the Shelby Crescent? Wow, your a legend" He smiled at her, everyone had talked about her while he was at hogwarts, sometimes about things other than quidditch, but they still mentioned it.

Alex smiled and shrugged his shoulders "Hey i'm a nice guy what can I say?" He continued smiling, although it fell slightly when she asked what he was looking for "Umm Honestly, I have no clue, i'm rubbish at present buying" It was the honest truth, he couldn't even buy himself something without getting it wrong.

Shell nods a little before frowning herself. "Well I could help you find a present then. Girl or a boy? Age?" she asks, trying to eliminate the possible solutions that were in her mind for his gift problem.

Alex's smile faded a little "Oh, i'm sorry to hear that " he let out a bit of a sigh while counting up figures in his head he forgot everything so easily "Right five dolls and 6 action figures I think" He laughed a little

Alex laughed "Oh yeah cause i'll choose barbies won't I" He said sarcastically with a cheeky grin. He looked around for the action figures "Uh Ha" he said quietly as he found them and started to sift through them trying to find six of the same type cause he knew the boys would fight, the girls would just exchange accessories
