First I find out I'm the father. Yeah, that went bloody well too. Then I find out that hey, this kid isn't really that bad. Not very smart. Find out that Zoe wants only money for our baby, and then I fight for custody. Which I got. And then felt bad for getting. And in return for feeling bad I let Zoe come stay with us in my apartment. That worked out well. And today I find out she's up and left with Kalin, both up and gone.
Sitting on the couch in the Room of Requirements, I leaned forward, elbows on my knees, head held in my hands. How could she do this? Why? I basically let her share custody by letting her live with me and she up and leaves. Why am I sitting here, while they're gone? It's not going to bring Kalin back. Pushing myself off the couch I went over to a bookshelf that was in the room, grabbed a book off of it and threw it at the door. The door that I thought I'd shut. The door that was now sitting open, letting the book fly out of it and collide into a wall across from the room.

I let out a small scream as I book came flying out of the room of requirement, causing me to dodge out of the way quickly. I had only been standing in the doorway for a split second and I get a book thrown at me? "Oy! Excuse me?" I said in a slightly annoyed tone, as I started my way back into the doorway of the room. I looked in the room thought, to see not someone I didn't know, but on the other hand, someone I recognised quite well.

I heard a scream after throwing the book out the door and my eyes grew wide at that fact. Hopefully I hadn't actually hit the person, the girl. Whoever it was. "What?" I asked, hearing the girl say excuse me, obviously really annoyed. "Lacey?" I asked, immediatly feeling even worse for throwing the book. But really, I kind of saw that I had a point in at least being angry. Zoe did just leave with Kalin. "Sorry." I muttered, running a hand through my hair now.

"Hi.." I said shaking my head a little bit, looking back at the book for a moment. "Um, no, it's alright." I told him with a faint smile, pushing some hair behind my ear. "You didn't see me.. I don't think at least." I said with a faint laugh, as I closed the door behind me and walked closer to him. "There a reason you're throwing books?"

"Hi." I repeat back to her after she's said it and looked at the book. "Alright then." I shrugged faintly, trying to at least forget about the recent events, just for a few minutes, and it would be great. "Nah, I didn't. Don't worry." I smiled weakly as she shut the door now. "Uhm, you wouldn't believe me?"

I smiled a bit as I walked closer to him. "Well good because it's not really a dream of mine to be attacked with books." I chuckled faintly with a small shrug, as I sat down on comfy looking couch that was sitting there. "Who says I wouldn't?" I asked looking over to him. "Try me."

"I'd hope not." I smiled weakly as she walked a bit closer and then sat down on the couch, as I stayed where I was, by the bookshelf, behind the couch. "I say." I chuckled faintly. "Zoe took Kalin." I muttered, facing the books and shutting my eyes briefly for the moment.

I smiled a little bit back to him and moved on the couch so I could still sit down and see him from where I was. I shrugged a bit when he said that he said and smiled very faintly at it. I waited for another moment and when I heard what he said, I wasn't sure of really want to say. I was pretty sure that he wanted to keep her, at least now. I stared at him a moment, frowning a bit more now too. I stood up and walked over to him, pulling him into a hug. ".. Are you alright?" I asked after a moment once I was hugging him

I heard her get up and walk closer before I looked at her and felt her pull me into a hug and I wrapped my arms lightly round her waist. "No." I answered her question after she hugged me. "Just that it s'my fault you know." I whispered, shaking my head faintly.

I hugged him a little bit tighter after he said that he wasn't alright, moving slightly onto my toes since he was a fair bit taller than me... like most people are. I shook my head again. "It's not your fault. She left, not you.. It's her problem."

"I let her stay with me though." I shook my head faintly. "I trusted her." I let out a long breath now, hugging her back faintly tighter as well now.

"But that doesn't make it your fault." I told him, shaking my head a little bit. Staying with you? That, I didn't know. I thought to myself, but deciding against bringing that up... at least for now. "All that makes you is a nice guy."

"No." I said after she had finished, starting to correct her. "That makes me an idiot." I shook my head faintly again and pulled away from the hug. It was true, it did make me an idiot for trusting her, but oh well. It was over. Didn't mean I'd forgive myself all that fast though.

I sighed, letting him pull away after a moment. I took a small step back away from him and crossed my arms slightly across my chest. "It doesn't make you an idiot..." I said shaking my head to him. "And I know you're just going to disagree with me again, so how about we just call you a nice idiot?" I asked raising my eyebrows slightly. "... Not that I think you're one, cause you're not."

I watched as she stepped back and crossed her arms over her chest and shook my hair slightly so it wasn't falling in my face. I felt bad. She was only trying to make it that much better than it was, but I didn't let her. "A nice idiot?" I asked, raising an eyebrow towards her and chuckling faintly. "You're so weird sometimes Lace."

I cracked a faint smile when he chuckled and nodded. "Yes. A nice idiot." I said repeated with a small shrug. I smiled only faintly more when he said I was weird sometimes and shrugged again. "So I've been told.." I chuckled.

"Alright, fine." I said with a small laugh, shaking my head slightly. "I'm a nice idiot." I smiled faintly. It was hard not to smile around Meilana. "Several dozen times by me." I teased, almost forgetting all about Zoe taking Kalin, which was a start, not that I wanted to forget, just right now I didn't need to be dealing with that.

I beamed slightly and nodded again. "Thank you very much." I said with a faint nod, wondering if he felt any better. He really did seem to look a bit better mood wise, but I didn't know what was really going on. "Exactly.. but you're silly, so I don't think that it counts." I told him sensibly, sticking my tongue out for a moment.

"You're welcome." I murmured, shaking my head faintly as she gave a nod with her head. "So now I'm a nice idiot and I'm silly. Yeah, okay Lace." I said, rolling my eyes faintly and shaking my head when she stuck her tongue out. "That's not very smart if you do that again." I teased.

I laughed a bit and nodded. "Exactly.. I'm glad that you understand." I smiled, watching him roll his eyes toward me. He said it wasn't very smart of me if I did that again and I shrugged faintly, smiling still. "So what're you gonna do about it?" I asked laughing a little as I stuck my tongue out again.

"I'm glad you're glad." I joked, shaking my head faintly towards her. And just like that Mei didn't listen to what I said and I chuckled faintly. "It offends me so much you know." I lied. "Oh. Well, I could tickle you." I said, pretending to think about what to do when she stuck her tongue out again and I laughed softly, moving closer to her.

"Well... good." I laughed a little, smiling as he shook his head. I almost said that I was glad that he was glad that I was glad, but I thought that was a bit redundant.. even if I have said it before. I raised my eyebrows slightly and started to back a way a bit at what he said. "If I'm not mistaken, that sounded like a threat Mr. Bradley." I said smiling a little toward him. Oh goodness, I hope he doesn't tickle me...

I smiled a little when she said good and when she laughed. She didn't repeat that she was glad that I was glad that she was glad, which I wasn't sure if it was good..... or not. "Well maybe it was meant to." I teased. Truth was I wasn't even planning on tickling her, though it was a thought. "What are you going to do about it Lace?" I asked, raising an eyebrow taking another step towards her.

I shook my head faintly at him at the first thing he said and continued to back up. I raised my eyebrows for a second thinking about it. What would I do? I bit my lip for a moment with a faint smile. "Well, maybe I'll throw a book at you." I said slightly playfully, chuckling a little bit.

She shook her head and I laughed a little. Then she was thinking about what she'd do about me tickling her. "You wouldn't." I said, stopping at first from shook and then I laughed, moving towards her again. "You love me too much to throw a book at me." I said with a slight smirk.

I stopped when he stopped and smiled slightly triumphantly, at least for a moment, before he started toward me again. "How do you know?" I asked him a bit indignantly with a small laugh, looking over to him. Course I wouldn't throw a book at him. I wasn't that mean... and well, getting hit by books hurts, so therefore, mean.... well, if I was extremely angry with him, then maybe I would throw one.

When I'd stopped she was smiling triumphantly and then it fell again. "Because I know." I said with a small grin, moving closer and grabbing onto her wrists lightly so she couldn't move away anymore. "Any last ideas?" I asked with a small laugh.

I laughed a little, letting him move closer to me, and just staying where I was as he grabbed onto my wrists lightly. He asked if I had anymore ideas and I paused for a moment, thinking about it. "... Well, yes, but I wouldn't do that to you." I said laughing a little bit, thinking about the fact that I could totally kick him in the nuts right now. But that really would be a bit over the top.. and terribly mean.

I raised an eyebrow when she said yes and then laughed. "Well then, I'm glad, though you still need to be 'punished' for sticking your tongue out at me." I said with a smirk, though I didn't let go and tickle her yet.

I laughed a little and sighed a bit with a small smile. ".. I'm not sure if I should be scared or not." I said laughing a little again, looking up to him. I doubted he was actually going to do anything.
